Channel 4 viewers make same complaint about new thriller In Flight minutes after debut
Tonight, Channel 4 aired the first episode of highly anticipated thriller, In Flight. The six-part series follows the story of single mum and flight attendant Jo Conran whose life is turned upside down when her son is imprisoned for a murder in Bulgaria. However, he swears he didn't commit it.
In a desperate attempt, to save her son, Jo takes a huge risk and begins to smuggle drugs over the boarder through her job - but how will things pan out?
Fans sat down at 9pm to watch the first instalment on Channel 4, starring Katherine Kelly, but it seemed like a number of fans had the same comment, as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter to complain. It comes after BBC Death in Paradise's Kris Marshall shares heartbreak over being sacked and losing job.
Fans had no complaints about the series, just the lack of it. "Too many bloody ads," said one disappointed viewer, while another penned: "More adverts than programme!"
Aside from the adverts, the series had good reviews, with excited fans ready to watch the new series. One penned: "I Can't wait! I'm going to have to watch the rest of the series on 4 now!"
Those who can't wait for the next episode next week can catch all episodes on the streamer now. Fans were left on a cliffhanger with Jo telling a concerned Dominic that she needed her help - and some can't wait until next week to find out what happens next.
We won't give too much away for those who haven't caught up, but for those wanting to know more, the official synopsis for the drama reads: "As Jo becomes ensnared in the murky underworld of corruption and hired killers, she is forced to carry out their orders while desperately trying to find a way out.
"She turns to her ex, Dom, for help. However, no matter how far Jo finds herself from her old life, her mission remains the same: to keep her son alive.
"Set against the fast-paced, high-pressure backdrop of international air travel, In Flight follows Jo's relentless quest to protect her family while entangled in a dangerous criminal syndicate."
The fictional crime drama, which stars Coronation Street 's Katherine Kelly in the lead role, is set to air weekly, with fans not wanting to binge online having to wait until Tuesday for the next part of the series.
Joining Katherine Kelly in the series is Babylon's Stuart Martin who plays the role of lead criminal gang member Cormac.
Jo's ex, Dom Delaney also plays a key part in the role and is played by actor Ashley Thomas, who also goes by stage name Bashy. Fans may recognise the star for his role as Jermaine Newton in TopBoy.

An Antiques Roadshow expert was left absolutely delighted after encountering two extraordinary glasses that created BBC history. Glass specialist Andy McConnell was stationed at the Woodhorn Museum in Ashington, meeting with visitors and their treasured possessions when he stumbled upon something truly remarkable. When presented with two diminutive Masonic glasses, the Roadshow authority explained: "These glasses are absolutely the cream and of course, they're firing glasses 'Yes, here! Cheers!' for toasting. "So how on earth do you end up owning these wonderful little gems?" Detailing their history, the guest revealed: "Well I got a bit lucky really. I'd seen them come up at an auction but they were just with a general lot, I think they were valued at £50 to £70. "I pretty much knew what I thought they were. Sadly, they'd been spotted by somebody else so they did go up in value but I managed to win the lot." (Image: BBC) The collector mentioned they ultimately cost him an eye-watering £6,000, prompting McConnell to ask: "So what makes an apparently sensible person spend £6,000 on two glasses the size of a thimble?" He responded: "They're local glasses, I just like collecting things that come from Newcastle. It's beautiful stuff, it's just a passion." The BBC authority then revealed: "What do you recognise them as, was the work of the Beilby family, William Beilby, who were in Newcastle. "1768, it's exactly what it says on the tin and they were Britain's leading enamellers, the greatest enamellers, working exclusively on glass." He continued by highlighting the intricate details on the matching glasses, which featured Masonic compasses alongside "rococo style white floral banding around the top". Describing them as a "well known set", the moment arrived to establish their worth. McConnell explained: "The first one that came up that we know about was bought by the British Museum in about 2009 for £12,000. "Then one sold for £8,000 and another sold for £6,000. (Image: BBC) "But yours, I know today would fetch at auction, you'd get somewhere like £16,000 for the pair." The guest remained composed upon hearing this remarkable sum, simply responding: "Wow." However, unlike the glasses' owner, McConnell appeared absolutely delighted. He declared: "So look, I mean what a pleasure! These are by far the most glasses that I've ever had in 16 years on the Roadshow. "I'm so made up with these. So cheers to you and William Beilby!". The guest finally smiled at McConnell's enthusiasm, with the audience applauding in appreciation. During a separate interview, McConnell explained: "It's about rarity. We are linking these to one person, William Beilby, this is the best at its peak." Antiques Roadshow can be viewed on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

"His mother was dying and somehow we thought the wedding was going to heal everything. But that was crazy, of course." In 1995, Ralph Fiennes took to the stage in Hamlet at Hackney Empire, starring opposite Francesca Annis—who portrayed Gertrude, his character's mother. Ralph's unfaithfulness had a profound effect on Alex, who admitted to considering taking her own life. It's been a pleasure seeing him return to stand up with a brilliant and very powerful show after a 10 year gap. Jenny Eclair kicked-off our 40 Years of Fringe: In Conversation series last week. It was great to have her back at Gilded Balloon and look back at her wonderful career highlights. Doon Mackichan and Kieran Hodgson of 'Three Doors Down' are doing three shows chatting about the TV series. Then Michelle McManus will interview new Scottish comics on the last weekend. Rosie O'Donnell also finished her sell out run on Sunday with a huge display of four large confetti canons set off in the venue to celebrate her debut show at the Fringe. I have to say that the staff were not too chuffed to have to clear up tons of confetti – but the show was definitely worth it. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad As a run ends, another begins and I'm overjoyed to be welcoming Doon Mackichan, Fiona Allen and Sally Phillips back together with Smack the Pony opening this Sunday 17th. All four shows sold out well in advance of the festival so I can't wait to see what they will get up to. I will try and persuade them to come back together for more shows in future. With funny women at the core of Gilded Balloon's programming each year, it's been a great joy to relaunch our Women in Comedy mixed-bill show from the 90s. Featuring all women and marginalised genders from across the festival, the show runs at 9pm Thursday to Sunday for the next two weekends and is a great way to see some legends of the scene as well as rising talent. A personal highlight for me this year has been the fabulous Gail Watson starring in the moving and hilarious show Faye's Red Lines. A star of Edinburgh's beloved panto, Gail has been charming audiences and has now been shortlisted for a Scottish Theatre Award on the Fringe, alongside some glowing reviews. I'm excited to see all of our new and ongoing shows continue to charm and amaze audiences this year. This includes the Heats for So You Think You're Funny? which started this week. This is our comedy competition for new and exciting comics from across the country, and I can't wait to see the top acts in our grand final next Thursday. It's always a great opportunity for Edinburgh locals to discover and support huge talents before they're household names, so I would absolutely encourage anyone looking for something different to come along to the Gilded Balloon. After 40 years in the business it's a pleasure to bring all these shows to the Fringe!
