The first season of Love is Blind UK was a breath of fresh air when it launched last August, and now fans have a brand new season to look forward to. She faces the ultimate choice - give up her power and get her husband back, or refuse to negotiate and risk losing him.
Music
Cian Ducrot - Little Dreaming, 1 August
He's already won a Grammy as co-writer of SZA's hit Saturn and now the lad from Passage West releases his second album, Little Dreaming. Apparently, he wrote over 100 songs for the new release before paring it down to 16 tracks influenced by Seventies and Eighties stars such as Elton John, Michael Jackson and Queen.
Jonas Brothers - Greetings From Your Hometown, 8 August
Swoon! The Yank pop rock bros are back! We've already heard the singles Love Me to Heaven and No Time to Talk, which neatly nodded to those other pop siblings - The Bee Gees. And there's more - Joe, Nick and the one called Kevin will also star in their very own Christmas movie, called A Very Jonas Christmas, and there's a live album, too - Live from the O2 London.
The Black Keys - No Rain, No Flowers, 8 August
The thirteenth (!!) studio album from the US guitar boogie blues rockers sees them work with songwriter/producer Rick Nowels, Daniel Tashian and Scott Storch. As drummer Patrick Carney says, "We wanted to go straight to the source - into the room with people known for their songwriting."
He may be from London but his dad is from Ballycumber. In fact, Tom has 'OY' (that's the car reg for Offaly) tattooed across his knuckles. Grennan has become the acceptable face of the emotional male singer songwriter boom and the Irish have taken him to our hearts over the past few years. We reckon it's that voice. Everywhere I Went, Led Me to Where I Didn't Want to Be is his fourth studio album and he's been mentioning George Michael, Prince, and Freddie Mercury as influences on his new songs. Album tracks include Full Attention, Shadowboxing, Shadows on the Ceiling, and Diamond.
Alison Goldfrapp - Flux, 15 August
Flux is second studio solo album from the mercurial and mysterious Alison Goldfrapp and it's being hyped as "some of her most undeniable pop hooks since Goldfrapp's iconic album Supernature as well as her most poignantly vulnerable songwriting to date." Tracks include Sound & Light, Reverberotic, and UltraSky.
Maroon 5 - Love Is Like, 15 August
They haven't gone away, you know! Love Is Like is the new album from the deadly dull US pop rock act led by the in no way annoying Adam Levine. It features guest appearances from Thai rapper and singer Lisa, Lil Wayne, and Sexyy Red. Music for people who don't like music.
Kingfishr - Halcyon, 22 August
Having just returned to No 1 with their break-out hit Killeagh and selling out every barn in Ireland, Ireland's fastest rising band release their new album Halcyon on 22 August. Expect the Big Music - big choruses, big voices and lots of banjo. We've heard it and it's a leap forward for the Limerick and Tipp lads. Think Dermot Kennedy busking with Mumfords. This will be BIG.
Deftones - Private Music, 22 August
The "Radiohead of metal" deliver their tenth album, Private Music, on 22 August and it's already been trailblazed by new single, My Mind Is A Mountain. Sacramento's finest recorded the new opus in various locations in California including Malibu and Joshua Tree as well as Nashville. The new album features new tracks such as Ecdysis, Infinite Source and Milk Of The Madonna and sees an already powerful act set to grow in stature and popularity.
CMAT - Euro-Country, 26 August
She razed Glastonbury and delivered a punchy takedown of Celtic Tiger complacency on her recent single and now Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson is set for world domination with her third album, Euro-Country. The new album was recorded in New York and co-produced by long-time collaborator Oli Deakin and CMAT herself.
Euro-Country tackles big themes, including personal reflections on economics, identity and grief. Superstardom seems certain and how can she go wrong with new song titles such as Billy Byrne From Ballybrack, The Leader Of The Pigeon Convoy, The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station, Lord, Let That Tesla Crash, and Janis Joplining.
Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend, 29 August
There's already been a lot of pearl clutching over the controversial cover art for Sabrina's seventh album, with some suggesting it appeals to the male gaze and others claiming it challenges misogynistic expectations of women. Either way, the planet's premiere pop princess has released an alternate cover, which she described as "approved by God". Perhaps some people haven't quite rumbled just how subversive Sabrina really is. She's namechecked Donna Summer, ABBA and Dolly Parton as influences on her new songs and lead single, Manchild, has already been an Irish No 1 hit. There's plenty more where that came from on tracks like We Almost Broke Up Last Night, When Did You Get Hot?, and Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry.

North Circular review: ‘You'd have robbed cars flying around... It used to be chaos, but good fun'

There's a beautifully hallucinatory quality to Luke McManus's North Circular ( RTÉ One , 9.35pm), a dreamy black-and-white valentine to Dublin's North Circular Road that comes to the small screen three years after it was received with acclaim on the film festival circuit. It's a documentary with a thesis: that Dublin's grittier postcodes have a down-at-heel glamour particular to themselves which should be cherished at a time when much of the capital's urban landscape is passing into history. Whether or not you agree that the city should be preserved in perpetuity, like a specimen in a bell-jar, there is no denying the poetic punch of this travelogue. It takes a Joycean hike from the Phoenix Park , past the site of the old O'Devaney Gardens public housing scheme. Next it is on to Dalymount Park soccer stadium, Mountjoy Prison , Croke Park and down to the docklands via Sheriff Street (not on the North Circular strictly speaking but very much part of the same spiritual hinterland). McManus was inspired to make the film after strolling around these neighbourhoods during lockdown. Reflecting its perambulatory roots, the documentary has the pottering charm of an intense hike on an overcast day. He begins with the 1861 Wellington Monument in the Phoenix Park. There is an acknowledgment of Dublin's complicated relationship with Britishness. The British army, an unnamed narrator explained, was handsomely provisioned with volunteers from inner Dublin, driven to fight for British Empire by poverty and desperation. READ MORE Rambling up into the north side, we hear an ex-resident of O'Devaney Gardens lament the loss of community and the construction of new apartments. 'You'd have the robbed cars flying around,' she says. 'It used to be chaos sometimes, but good fun.' Then we arrive at Dalymount Park where Bohemian FC fans chant about their bitter rivals, Shamrock Rovers . Amid the grungy greys, there are flashes of darkness. Sitting in shadows in his livingroom, tin whistle-player Seán Ó Tuama recalls witnessing his brother strangle his father. Elsewhere, a former inmate at Mountjoy talks about how he would walk out the front gates and seek the nearest drug dealer, before belatedly cleaning up. North Circular finishes with singer Gemma Dunleavy , who talks about how people from Sheriff Street are looked down upon and regarded as 'spongers'. Her rejoinder is that 'there are spongers in suits. Look at the banks, it's a different type of sponger. They're sponging off the public'. It's gorgeously filmed with a stunning soundtrack, much of it courtesy of the new wave of Irish folk artists centred on The Cobblestone in Smithfield. They include singer John Francis Flynn , who insists that living in gentrified Stoneybatter doesn't make him 'posh'. [ Luke McManus: 'The North Circular Road tells the story of Ireland' Opens in new window ] As Dublin continues to change – as all cities must if they are to thrive – McManus' film functions as an act of bearing witness to a particular moment in its history when the old capital was giving way to something new and different (a sprinkling of tall buildings, a proposed redevelopment of Sheriff Street). It has the grainy quality of a Polaroid in the drizzle – a snapshot of a period that, for better or worse, is slipping away before our eyes but which McManus has ensured will now be preserved. By the credits, I felt I'd paced the length of the North Circular – and returned home weary but wiser, and with a better appreciation of the old bones that glimmer beneath the new Dublin.

It is based on the book of the same name by May Cobb and stars Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect) in the main role alongside a star-studded cast including Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend's Wedding) and Malin Åkerman (Billions). Brittany plays Sophie who moves to Texas from Cambridge, Massachusetts with her family and grows close to Malin's character, Margo, an enigmatic socialite with plenty secrets of her own. Sophie is warned to stay away from her new circle of wealthy acquaintances but fails to do so and, before long, the body of a teen girl is found and they all become embroiled in the mystery of her death. netflix SANK GIG Huge Hollywood star reveals Netflix have AXED his first TV show Rebecca spoke about the women in the show and praised them for being unapologetically sexy while behaving very badly. The showrunner also defended some of the series' more raunchy plotlines after viewers took to social media to label The Hunting Wives as "perverted" and vulgar. "It's so fun, and juicy and sexy. Everyone is behaving so badly," she told the New York Post. "I wanted to do an exploration of women behaving badly, unapologetic sexual conquest running rampant, and just something fun." Rebecca also praised Malin's ability to embrace her sexuality during her nude scenes, as Margo starts an affair with her 18-year-old son's best friend and falls pregnant. "It was important to find an actress, not necessarily that was willing to do nudity per se, but that really felt comfortable with the sexuality and owning that power that she has," she said. Love Is Blind UK: Meet the Season 2 contestants looking to find love in 2025 "I think there's a fantasy of freedom or power that maybe we don't feel so much as middle-aged women." The showrunner added: "I just think TV has evolved. The first anti-heroes were all men. "Now, there can be more female anti-heroes and I certainly think Margot Banks falls into that category." Despite some of the outrage on social media, The Hunting Wives has managed to rack up an 80 percent score of aggregate movie rating site, Rotten Tomatoes. While it is not yet available to view in the U.K, Deadline reported that it would not air on Netflix as the streaming giant did not acquire the series from producer Lionsgate Television in any market other than the U.S. "Lionsgate has sold the series in 10 additional territories, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy and India, where it will launch soon," Deadline reported.
