Clayface Movie Cast to Include The Social Network Star in Key Role
Clayface is a new DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures movie expected to arrive in 2026. Directed by James Watkins, the film will see Tom Rhys Harries play the villainous Batman character of the same name.
Who has joined the cast of Clayface?
Max Minghella is being eyed for a key role in the Clayface movie, according to Nexus Point News.
The outlet reports that Minghella is being looked at to play a character named John, 'a detective and fiancé to Caitlin Bates, who's suspicious of his fiancée's relationship with Matt Hagen/Clayface.'
Nexus Point News further reports that Mickey 17's Naomi Ackie has now officially been offered the role of Caitlin, who will be Hagen's love interest and doctor.
Minghella is best known for playing Nick Blaine in The Handmaid's Tale, a role that earned him a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2021. He's also recognized for playing Divya Narendra in 2010's The Social Network, while his filmography further includes 2011's The Ides of March, 2013's Horns, 2016's The 9th Life of Louis Drax, 2021's Spiral, and 2022's Babylon.
The script for the DCU Clayface movie comes from Mike Flanagan (Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Hill House) and Hossein Amini. James Gunn has previously confirmed that the movie is being made to receive an R-rating.
Watkins has previously directed movies such as 2008's Eden Lake, 2012's The Woman in Black, 2016's Bastille Day, and 2024's Speak No Evil, while he additionally helmed the 'Shut Up and Dance' episode of Black Mirror and was a second unit director on 2009's The Descent Part 2.
Clayface hits United States theaters on September 11, 2026. Prior to that, the next DCU project will be Peacemaker Season 2, which premieres on HBO Max later this month, while Lanterns and Supergirl are also both coming out in 2026.

Cassette's new app turns your videos into retro, VHS-like home movies
Longing for the nostalgia of watching home movies, like in the VHS days, but stuck with all your personal videos saved on an iPhone? Sure, you can AirPlay them to the TV, but the experience is not the same. This struggle inspired developer Devin Davies to create Cassette, a new iOS app that plays back videos in a format similar to VHS, making your iPhone videos feel more like old home recordings. To use the app, you virtually 'load' one of the tapes laid out across the screen by selecting the year's videos you want to view. The videos are labeled with what look like handwritten stickers with the year attached to the VHS tape's cover sleeve. You can then watch your life unfold on the screen with no further interaction required on your part. I regularly ask the AI engines how confident they are in their answers and what other information would make the answers better. For example, when I tried this on a history-related question, Chat GPT admitted that it could not access JSTOR which is an academic database or certain museum databases. A user could download information from those libraries, if they had access, and ask the AI engine to recalculate its answers. Step 3: Use a fillable template for consistency If you regularly use ChatGPT, you don't want to re-think your prompt structure every single time. That's where a Prompt Builder template comes in. Here's one you can copy and fill in whenever you need: Prompt Builder template Task Overview: What do you want to create or do? Target Audience: Who is this for? (age, role, industry, knowledge level, etc.) Goal / Purpose: What do you want this to achieve? Tone / Style: How should it sound? (professional, casual, persuasive, witty, etc.) Output Format: What kind of output do you need? (blog post, tweet, email, bullet list, slide outline, etc.) Length / Depth: How long or detailed should it be? Key Points to Include: Any must-have ideas, data, or specific messages? It should be [length/depth] and include [key points]. Base it on [sources]. Avoid [constraints].' Final tip: Separate setup from task If you're working on something multi-step (like a report, a campaign, or a big article), start with a setup message where you AI all the background with the template above. Then, in your next message, give it the specific task. This makes follow-ups easier: 'Use the same tone and audience as before, but now write a conclusion section.' The quality of your AI output depends on the clarity of your input. Give it the who, what, why, and how—and you'll be amazed at how much better the results become.
