TXT's Soobin wonders if he can ‘sell' BTS' J-Hope, older singer calls himself ‘pride of Gwanju'
BTS and their juniors at BIGHIT MUSIC, TOMOTTOW X TOGETHER, have always been very close and affectionate to each other. Ever since the latter's debut in 2019, the seniors have praised the five boys and received respect in return. For a new variety show, Idol Festa Attack, the quintet were required to sell zucchinis to their fans and invite them for a guerrilla concert-like segment. Held in Gwangju, where J-Hope was born and raised, the leader of the team, Soobin, reached out to the BTS member for advice to convince the citizens to attend their event. Hitting the nail right on the mark, the older star asked him to 'sell' his name for the deed, earning laughter from the viewers. J-Hope helps TXT with concert sales? Know how As a part of Mnet's new YouTube series called Idol Festa Attack, TXT was asked to sell tickets in the form of zucchinis to the unaware and unsuspecting citizens in the city of Gwangju. As word about the chart-topping team selling vegetables to gain audience at their concert spread, hilarity and surprise greeted them. Behind the scenes, the leader of the team took a chance at seeking help from his senior and was met with a loving response. First surprise came in the form of J-Hope's caller tune, which was set to his latest release at the time, Killin' It Girl, and as the rapper answered the call, an immediate flow of honey-dripping conversation flew. Addressing him as hyung-nim, Soobin asked how he could woo the Gwangju people. The BTS member emphasized his city's warm-heartedness and affection, and how its location in the South of the country meant delicious traditional Korean food would greet the singers there. He did not forget to mention how 'J-Hope is the pride of Gwangju', with the younger one agreeing to it. A fun exchange ensued when the TXT member asked, 'Would it be okay to 'sell' you a bit to the Gwangju citizens?' Not missing a beat, J-Hope said, 'You can sell me however you want,' much to the delight of Soobin. He then taught some satoori to the younger one and promised to buy some zucchinis from him at 990 KRW, ending with some words of support for the five boys.

With You To Seoul: 7 Best Solo Songs By BTS Members You Can't Miss
Last Updated: Besides releasing songs as a group, BTS members have also released their solo songs, highlighting their individuality and versatility. When you think of BTS, the songs that immediately pop up in our minds are Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance, and Mic Drop, among others. These songs, created together as a group, have received endless love from their fans and have become some of the most iconic songs in their career. But BTS isn't just about the group; it is also about their individuality. Each member, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, has also stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist. And their solo songs have earned just as much admiration from their fans around the globe. Now, before BTS releases their brand-new album as a unit, Rolling Stone has ranked all 177 solo tracks of the members, selecting the best from each of their discographies. Here's a list of the members' best songs to date. Jimin's With You (2022) Jimin collaborated with Ha Sung Woon for With You, a single from the soundtrack of the 2022 K-drama Our Blues. The song, which is in seventh position on the list, captures both the joy and pain of love and family ties. The track plays throughout the slice-of-life drama, featuring Shin Min A and Kim Woo Bin. Jungkook's My You (2022) The Golden Maknae of BTS dedicated this song to their ardent fans, called the ARMY. Though it sounds like a romantic track, it was actually an appreciation for their fans who have been with them through thick and thin. Released on BTS' ninth debut anniversary, With You has bagged the no. 6 position. V's Slow Dancing (2023) Released as part of his first solo album, Layover, Slow Dancing is a romantic soul song mixed with jazz, V's favourite genre. The lyrics create a dreamy, old-fashioned romance, far from today's casual relationships, with one lover pining over the other. The song's real charm lies in V's deep voice, which makes the lo-fi track irresistible. It has claimed the fifth place on the chart. Jin's I'll Be There (2024) A pre-release single from his debut album, Happy, Jin shows off his versatility, deviating from his usual soulful ballads. With a retro yet fresh vibe, Jin channels his inner rockstar. Through the lyrics, he promises his fans that he is going to continue singing for them. The song released in October last year is in fourth place on the list. J-Hope's More (2022) A blend of trip-hop and nineties alternative rock, J-Hope dives into the world of an edgier, industrial rock with More. Released as the lead single of his debut solo album, Jack in the Box, this song marks his departure from his previous works and showcases his rebellious side. The song, which J-Hope performed at Lollapalooza Chicago, holds the third position. Suga's Haegeum (2023) Haegeum, released as a pre-release single of Agust D's album D-Day, has bagged the second position. The song opens with not just referencing the traditional Korean instrument haegeum, but also breaking free from the shackles of society. He calls out capitalism, class inequality and public scrutiny through the lyrics. RM's Seoul (2018) The song topping among the 177 solo tracks by the BTS members is by its leader, RM. Seoul is a track from his second mixtape, Mono. Through the lyrics, he explores his complex relationship with the city. While he praises its beauty, he also laments its high cost, pollution and the sorrows of people living there. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
