HUNDREDS of fuming Manchester United fans were left stranded outside Old Trafford after being denied entry for the season opener against Arsenal.
And thousands more were stuck in massive queues, before being forced to show IDs after United debuted a new ticketing system to crack down on touts.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Co announced the club's intention to use NFC (near field communication) technology for stadium entry in March.
All tickets are digital on a smartphone, in the form of an NFC pass, similar to contactless payments on Apple Pay.
But the changes have had some major consequences for supporters, with many left stranded outside the ground during the game on Sunday.
A man from Essex claimed he was refused entry after being told his "ticket was cancelled".

After a six-hour journey, the fan waited outside the stadium for his friend, who was already inside watching Arsenal's narrow 1-0 win.
He told Instagram content creator Mark B TV that his mate said "somebody else was sitting in his seat".
The fan explained that he bought the ticket directly from the club's official website and downloaded the app to his phone.
He is worried about getting into United's game against Manchester City on September 14 after paying a whopping £380 for his ticket from the club site.

Before kick-off, thousands more were turned away from the turnstiles, forced to trudge to the Supporter Services building in the car park to vent their frustrations.
A group of men claimed to have travelled from India, spending £5000 in total on flights, hotels and match day tickets.
One said: "This is England. This doesn't happen in cricket matches in the Indian Premier League. The customer service goes smoothly."
Creator Mark B TV spoke to a fan 30 minutes into the game who said: "My ticket wouldn't scan, they said it's 'not allowed'. I've had the f***ing ticket since 1966. This is my last year as a season ticket holder."

Footage of supporters standing in large queues has been widely circulated on social media, with many blaming the new ticket system.
One fan on X wrote: "Man Utd ticketing is a disgrace #laughingstock."
Another said: "It's a shambles. How can the club do this?"
Season ticket holders were forced to take a live photo of themselves and upload ID to renew their ticket for the 2025/2026 campaign.
But United supporters are not the only fanbase to be left cursing changes to their club's digital system.
Chelsea fans took to social media to vent their frustrations after fans were unable to enter Stamford Bridge ahead of their goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Manchester United kicked off their Premier League season with a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, a game where Alejandro Garnacho was unsurprisingly absent, with his United career all but over Wantaway Manchester United misfit Alejandro Garnacho will not play for Argentina in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers at the start of September. Garnacho is set to leave United before the transfer window closes, if the Red Devils and Chelsea can come to an agreement over a transfer fee. The Blues are pushing hard to take the young winger to Stamford Bridge, with United ready to cash in if the money is right. It's understood Garnacho has already agreed terms with Chelsea. The 21-year-old has been training on his own at Carrington for a month and has been frozen out of the squad completely by Ruben Amorim, with his comments and subsequent social media antics following the Europa League Final the last straw for the United head coach. Garnacho had initially fallen foul of Amorim when he was dropped for the Manchester derby last December, before being reintegrated back into the squad - unlike Marcus Rashford, who was loaned to Aston Villa in January. Unsurprisingly, Garnacho was not involved in United's Premier League opener against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday. Now he has been left out of the Argentina squad for the World Cup qualifying fixtures with Venezuela and Ecuador next month. Gyokores lasted 60 minutes before being replaced by Kai Havertz on Sunday. And Ferdinand reckons it's entirely understandable for the former Coventry sharpshooter to not have hit the ground running. The ex-Manchester United defender highlighted the lack of pre-season Gyokeres enjoyed as he went on strike at his previous club, and perhaps offered a warning to wantaway Newcastle star Alexander Isak. Ferdinand said: 'I've seen some of the comments, people saying Gyokeres doesn't look the part – early in the season, give him five or six games minimum, just to get up to speed. 'Give him time to get up to speed fitness-wise, he's got to get fit! He probably hasn't trained with a team since he got to Arsenal because he demanded to leave – bit like Isak now, he won't be training with the team, he'll be on his own [at Newcastle]. 'The depth now, Havertz coming on, Arsenal have a real opportunity now.' Arsenal boss Arteta was not yet too concerned by his new star's display given the early stage of his time in north London. "Well, he did a lot of things very good," he said after earning three points. "You can tell, especially in our high-pressing rhythm that we demand that, especially in the first hour. Again, he took too much time. It's something that we have to work on him, especially there. "And then, yeah, finalising situation, he didn't have that many chances to do that because, as I said, on the previous action, before we had to play that last ball that the line was standing still with 40 metres behind, we then managed to put the ball through to exploit his quality. But overall, I mean, coming away to Manchester United, winning your first game with Arsenal, it's a good start."
