EastEnders fans 'work out Alfie is being scammed' - and it's by someone he knows
There was drama on EastEnders on Monday night, as a double bill saw Stacey Slater torn over some money.
With her late ex Martin Fowler's life insurance money coming through, she revealed to the family she had £50,000. Fans had seen her offer this to her cousin Kat Moon, to help her bid on The Queen Vic which was up for sale.
But as celebrations were underway, Stacey was stopped in her tracks by a sinister call from Kat's husband Alfie Moon. Alfie told her that she had a lead on missing Zoe Slater, Kat's daughter, and he needed money urgently.
Stacey was horrified to learn that after weeks of being away looking for Zoe, Alfie still had not found his stepdaughter. Kat still has no idea Alfie and Stacey have seen Zoe recently or that her daughter is in trouble.
As the pair continued to keep this from her, Alfie told Stacey that if he did not get the money to some dangerous men then they could lose Zoe forever. Stacey demanded answers, wanting to know what he actually knew about Zoe's whereabouts.
There was mention of Alfie needing 50,000 euros, with Zoe owing people money according to the people Alfie found. He claimed they had information on where Zoe was, and he feared the men may have her.
Alfie put the pressure on Stacey by telling her that if Kat learned what was going on and that Stacey didn't help, she'd likely not forgive her. Alfie began shouting down the phone in a panic, telling Stacey that serious trouble could be on the cards if she did not help him and give him the money.
Stacey fretted over the situation, and soon she was telling her devastated cousin Kat that she could no longer give her the money for the pub deposit. Kat fumed, as Stacey claimed it was because the money was meant for Martin's children.
While this was true, Stacey and Kat had already agreed that it was a great investment that could benefit the children. Stacey's mother Jean Slater had known about the call with Alfie and immediately realised the pair were hiding something.
Jean believed whatever had been said in the phone call between Stacey and Alfie had swayed the change of heart, with Kat not allowed to know anything. Stacey then begged her mum to stop digging for information, and told her that the money was to help someone important to the family.
She didn't give away who, but instead allowed Jean to think Stacey's cousin Hayley Slater was the one in need of the cash. Stacey went along with this, but ultimately decided not to give Alfie the cash.
Viewers watching the episodes were relieved, as they believed Alfie was actually the victim of a scam. After all, Zoe had tried to con them out of some money not too long ago, so could she be behind this latest demand?
Some fans even wondered if Zoe had scammed Jean recently after she was tricked into transferring her savings. Fans think Alfie is being conned now, and that the £50k would have been stolen by someone with the Zoe claims being a cover.
One viewer posted: "I think Alfie may have got scammed/set up for getting conned by Zoe or messed with the wrong people himself. Remember Zoe also lied/stole from Stacey and ran up a massive credit card debt. Jean may have just saved Stacey and Alfie from making a bad decision." Another agreed: "Alfie brainless as ever thinking that giving some random thugs £50k in euros to find a missing Zoe."

Robert is close to exposing killer John in Emmerdale – but a twist follows
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has had John Sugden's (Oliver Farnworth) card marked since he met him in Emmerdale. Robert has had his suspicions ever since he gate-crashed John and Aaron's (Danny Miller) wedding. Then he began to sense something amiss over Nate's death and he is now perilously close to uncovering the truth. The last time someone came close to outing John, they ended up in a coma. John is out to protect himself as investigations into Nate's murder get a little too close to home. He chose to frame Owen, the man who drugged Robert, telling others that Owen had confessed during a medical appointment with him. The next thing anyone knew, Owen turned up dead with a suicide note confessing to Nate's murder. While the village was awash with shock and John was confident that he had neatly tied things up with a bow, Robert's internal alarm system was going berserk. He arranged to meet with Owen's brother Steve who gave him a crucial bit of information – Owen had a solid alibi for the time of Nate's murder. Robert is on to John in a big way and is going full throttle in bringing John down. As Robert starts to scrutinise John, his next suspicion lands on the fact John has seemingly saved so many lives. He starts to probe how John saved Jacob's life, but Jacob rushes off mid-conversation. Pollard (Chris Chittell) fills in a few blanks for him, including just how many other lives John has saved – too many to be in the right place at the right time. Robert remains steadfast inn his mission and when he airs his opinion against John to Chas (Lucy Pargeter), he's not bothered that she won't hear a word said against him. Then the next opportunity to investigate falls into Robert's lap – John leaves his phone on the table. Robert grabs the phone and tries to unlock it, but despite having no luck getting in, he still strikes gold – as he hands the phone back to John he implies he's seen something, and he can see John is shaken. Scandal confirmed as major Coronation Street legend cheats on husband
The Coronation Street air has been seething with unresolved sexual tension ever since Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) arrived in Weatherfield and set eyes on his sister-in-law Abi Webster (Sally Carman). And it looks like they're finally about to give in to their feelings in episodes airing soon. When Abi realised that the handsome man she'd been flirting with in Freshco's car park was actually Kevin (Michael Le Vell)'s brother, it obviously came as a shock. Over the months as they've got to know each other, the attraction between them hasn't died down, although Abi has insisted that it's a love that can never be, because of her loving Kevin and him having cancer. Recently Kevin has discovered two things. One is that his wife and his brother seem to either be having an affair or are on the verge of it. The other is that he doesn't have cancer any more as his treatment has been successful. However, he's pretending that he still does have cancer in the hope that this will make Abi think twice about leaving him – and so far that's working. It's a complex situation, and Carl is dealing with complexities of his own as he owes a lot of money and has been using Kev's garage as a venue for doing up stolen cars as a side-hustle to try and make some money. These situations all come together in an upcoming episode when Kevin overhears Carl talking to his accomplice Fiona about a flash car he's working on and how, if she steals it, they can split the profit. Kevin attempts to pursue Fiona as she drives off in the car and soon collapses, unwell. Glenda (Jodie Prenger) takes him to the hospital and soon Carl turns up. Kevin reveals that he knows that Carl has been up to something dodgy with Fiona. Carl turns the tables by telling his brother that he's been chatting to the medical staff and he knows that Kevin is now cancer-free. When Abi hears what Carl has been up to she has a go at him for the trouble he's caused. He resists the urge to tell her that Kevin is deceiving her about still having cancer. She does find out, however – from Tyrone (Alan Halsall). She's worrying about how to tell Jack (Kyran Bowes) that Kevin's cancer hasn't responded to treatment and Tyrone knows he can't let her do that and breaks it to her that Kevin has been lying about his health since receiving the all-clear. Emmerdale stabbing and attack confirmed as Moira is taken away by the police
Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) faces an absolute nightmare in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale. The beloved character has been swimming in stressful situations as of late, and things aren't getting any better. It was the slurry leak orchestrated by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) that ultimately kicked things off for her and Butlers Farm. The contaminated liquid damaged a lot of farmland and also spilt into the main water supply. Everything got fixed – but Moira's bank account was heavily impacted. Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), believing he was responsible for it, worked hard to try and find a way to help pay Moira's bills. However, he – for some reason – thought the best idea would be growing and selling weed in one of the barns. Moira caught Mackenzie and Ross Barton (Michael Parr), frustrated her little brother took a risk when the business was already struggling. Next week, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) heads to Butlers to talk about Kim Tate (Claire King) buying their land. Feeling smug, Joe heads back and tells Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) that it seems like the plan is in motion. Meanwhile, Moira tells Kyle (Huey Quinn) and Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) that they aren't losing their home. Once Moira leaves, the lads hear a noise, and decide to head off to investigate. In a barn, Kyle and Isaac spot two masked teenagers. One of them is April's (Amelia Flanagan) friend Dylan (Fred Kettle) and, in a blind panic, Kyle accidentally stabs Dylan's leg with a pitchfork. Moira arrives and scares the boys away, while Cain (Jeff Hordley) solely blames Joe for the ordeal. PC Swirling (Andy Moore) heads over to the farm but frustratingly, he can't really do much. With her livelihood at risk, Moira lashes out but accidentally hits Lydia (Karen Blick) instead of Joe. While Swirling wasn't able to do anything about the lads in the barn, he can do something about this, and arrests Moira. Things really aren't looking good. 'She always has problems with the farm doesn't she but it's real life I suppose because it is tough for farmers out there', star Natalie J Robb said. More Trending 'Hopefully good things can come from it if she manages to keep it, good things can start, new ideas can be made to work on the farm, like a lot of farmers have had to adapt to doing like glamping sites and things like that. Hopefully things like that, that's in my head, that would be nice. 'But she is going through a tough time. It's an interesting time as well because all of these stories are interlinked and it's quite well done, and how people get it wrong and there's little disasters everywhere.
