Shedeur Sanders has already made a big splash in NFL betting markets — and that's all without having played one snap of professional football.
At BetMGM, the quarterback out of Colorado is the book's biggest liability for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
In this spot, Sanders has both the highest ticket (10.5%) and the highest handle (23.5%).
But when you look at the board, his odds are nowhere near the top to win the award.
Currently, Ashton Jeanty and Cam Ward are the favorites at +250. Shedeur's Colorado teammate Travis Hunter rounds out the top three at +600.
Tetairoa McMillan at +1300 and Omarion Hampton at +1400 are fourth and fifth.
So where is Shedeur?
He's 10th at +2200. But that hasn't stopped bettors from believing that he can bring home the hardware, and that could partially be because of the incredible stats he put up while starting at QB for the Buffaloes.
In 2024, Sanders racked up 4,134 passing yards and had 37 touchdowns. Over the course of 24 games in Boulder, he went 651-for-907 passing with a total of 7,364 yards, 64 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Despite those lofty numbers, Sanders unceremoniously fell to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Cleveland Browns ended up selecting him with the 144th pick, and that was after quarterbacks like Jaxson Dart, Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe and Dillon Gabriel came off the board.

For added context, Cleveland grabbed Gabriel off the board with the 94th pick.
According to "The Herd" co-host Jason McIntyre, Sanders' draft stock likely took a hit because of his father Deion's big personality.
"I'm now thinking, NFL teams and front offices were like, 'No thank you,' precisely because of this," McIntyre said regarding Hall of Famer Deion Sanders' comments on a podcast about how his son was handled during the draft.
But it's not where a player falls in the draft that decides if they can earn an accolade like Rookie of the Year. Instead, it's where you end up during the season.
Should Shedeur Sanders start for the Browns?
And "The Herd" host Colin Cowherd likes Sanders' chances to be named QB No. 1 in Cleveland.
"Despite the fact that Shedeur Sanders had the fewest attempts, he was the most efficient with the fewest reps," Cowherd said as he compared quarterbacks on the Browns' depth chart. "By a landslide, Shedeur Sanders should be starting.
"I think [Joe] Flacco is going to win the starting job initially. But I'm calling it for Shedeur," he continued.
"With very average personnel [at Colorado] outside of Travis Hunter, against the very best teams he played, he was highly productive."

Sports Pulse Shedeur Sanders might've tumbled down the draft board, but he could be flying up the Cleveland Browns' quarterback depth chart. The former Colorado quarterback's draft slide ended when the Browns selected him in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 144th overall pick. Players taken that late don't typically have a great success rate at becoming starters in the pros, but Sanders isn't your average Day 3 pick. Some have speculated Sanders slid because of his family, attitude or talent. Others have noted that he doesn't figure to be a starting quarterback, which makes the noise surrounding his presence on a team an unnecessary distraction. Regardless, Sanders is in camp with the Browns. On a team without a clear starting quarterback atop the depth chart, that means it's a wide-open competition – one that the fifth-rounder has a path to winning, according to ESPN's Kimberley A. Martin. "Listen, in that building, there are people who believe that Shedeur can 100 percent be the starter of this football team," Martin said on ESPN's "Get Up" on Wednesday. "You said it's incumbent upon the Browns to put him in the situation, it's also incumbent upon Shedeur to do the work, which, talking to people in that building, they've said he is soaking up everything like a sponge." To do so, Sanders will have to surpass Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and fellow 2025 draft pick Dillon Gabriel on the depth chart. That doesn't mean he isn't taking every opportunity to learn from the veteran Flacco, however. "In the QB rooms, talking to Flacco, wanting to learn, and also, let's not forget, Dillon Gabriel, spent a lot of time talking about Shedeur, but Dillon Gabriel's a guy who was drafted in the third," Martin said. "One source said to me, he is everything you want in a quarterback, he's just small. If he were a little taller, a lot of people would be looking at Dillon Gabriel a little differently, at least that's how they feel in their building. So they have a very interesting quarterback situation, and Shedeur has a path." Gabriel, who was selected two rounds earlier than Sanders, illustrates the problem for the Colorado prospect. As ESPN's Peter Schrager pointed out during the segment, Sanders likely won't have the same amount of reps in practice as the other quarterbacks on the roster. With less room for error, it presents a challenge for the rookie. Regardless, he is still expected to be on the roster, barring something unforeseen. "The sense I get in that building is something catastrophic, crazy would have to happen for Shedeur not be on the roster," Martin said. "They believe in the talent." Now it's on Sanders to run through the finish line and secure the starting job.

The Rams shared a video of Whitworth coaching up rookie lineman Trey Wedig and second-year pro KT Leveston. He also chatted with Kevin Dotson for a little bit. Whitworth posted on X Wednesday following his visit to Rams OTAs, saying it "felt good" to be back on the field with the guys. "The standard is being built every rep," he wrote. CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds placed ace pitcher Hunter Greene on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with a right groin strain and signed veteran left-hander Wade Miley to a one-year contract. Miley, 38, who had Tommy John surgery on his left elbow in May 2024, gets a $2.5 million salary while in the major leagues and $300,000 while in the minors. He would earn a $15,000 performance bonus for each inning pitched from one through 100. He signed a minor league contract with the Reds on Feb. 4 that included an opt-out clause if he didn't reach the big leagues by June 1. The 14-year veteran executed that clause on Sunday but remained in Cincinnati while he pursued potential deals with other clubs, and he stayed in touch with the Reds. 'I was able to spend some time with the family, just being a dad, going to Little League games,' Miley said. 'I'm appreciative of the Reds organization and the way they handled it. We always stayed in contact. I feel healthy. I'm really excited to be back. I'm ready to go to work.' Miley is the third left-hander in the Reds rotation, joining Nick Lodolo and Andrew Abbott. He made 34 appearances including 32 starts for the Reds in 2020-21, going 12-10 with a 3.55 ERA. He tossed the 17th no-hitter in Reds franchise history, and his first, on May 7, 2021, at Cleveland. Miley has posted 108 victories for eight different teams in his 14 seasons. Manager Terry Francona said Miley's veteran presence is a welcome addition for the Reds' young rotation. 'He and (Reds president of baseball operations) Nick (Krall) talked multiple times,' Francona said. 'I know how much he appreciated Nick's honesty. We were going to have him in the bullpen and then knowing at some point we would probably need him. Well, it happened a little quicker.' Francona said Miley will be available out of the bullpen for Wednesday's series finale against the Brewers. If he's not used, he'll pitch the first game of the upcoming Cleveland series, then move into the rotation. 'He was in full (uniform) early this morning,' Francona said. 'It's really welcome. We've been waiting for him. He's a bright light. He brings a lot. His ability to compete, he won't shortchange you.' It was another setback for Greene who made three starts since a 15-day stint on the injured list last month due to a groin strain he sustained May 7 during a start in Atlanta. In Tuesday night's 4-2 win over the Brewers, Green threw 85 pitches before leaving the game after five innings when he felt discomfort in his groin. An MRI was scheduled for Wednesday morning, but Francona said there was no need to wait for the results. 'We talked to him, we talked to trainers, it was kind of an easy decision even without seeing the MRI,' Francona said. 'We've got to get him healthy.' ___
