Take a Ted Lasso-inspired tour of Kansas City as filming locations for season 4 are revealed

Filming of the highly anticipated fourth season of comedy-drama Ted Lasso is underway in Kansas City, Missouri. And it looks like the Midwestern destination will feature heavily in the Apple TV+ series, which sees KC native Jason Sudeikis playing a small-time American football coach hired to manage English soccer team AFC Richmond. A teaser clip of a Kansas City restaurant scene was posted to Instagram by Apple TV+ and the cast and crew have been spotted in several other locations around the city. Here, we reveal how you can follow in their footsteps with a breakdown of the key filming spots used so far. The Plaza Several scenes have already been filmed at the Country Club Plaza, Kansas City's historical downtown retail area, which features 15 city blocks of Spanish-inspired architecture, dozens of fountains and the chance to shop trendy designer brands and dine at popular restaurants. Season 4 reportedly sees Ted coaching a women's football team and during filming at The Plaza, Sudeikis was seen wearing a jacket sporting the branding for the Kansas City Current team, the first National Women's Soccer League team to sell out all of its home games. Gates Bar-B-Q There are five Gates Bar-B-Q restaurants across the Kansas City metropolitan area, but it was the Main Street branch that will be seen on screen in Season 4. Apple TV+ posted to Instagram a teaser scene filmed at the eatery, which is famed for its signature sauce and the Kansas City specialty 'burnt ends' – flavorful, caramelised pieces of meat from the point end of the brisket. CPKC Stadium Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, who plays AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, have been spotted filming at the CPKC, home of the Kansas City Current. The CPKC opened in March 2024 as the world's first privately financed stadium purpose-built exclusively for a professional women's football team.. 18th & Vine District The historic jazz district is one of Kansas City's must-sees and home to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, where the crew spent a whole day filming. The compelling museum preserves and celebrates the rich history of African American baseball and its impact on the social advancement of America. Visitors can peruse hundreds of photographs, artifacts and several film exhibits.

Devil Wears Prada 2 major spoiler as Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci film telling scene

Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci sent fans into meltdown Wednesday when they were spotted reuniting on the New York City set of The Devil Wears Prada 2. The Princess Diaries star, 42 — who recently teased a major twist for the long-awaited sequel — slipped back into her role as Andy Sachs, while Tucci, 64, once again embodied fan-favorite Nigel. Hathaway confirmed last month that filming is officially underway, with the sequel slated for a May 2026 release — exactly 20 years after the original became a cultural phenomenon. Also back for round two? Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, who are both reprising their iconic roles. Plot details are still tightly guarded, but the new set photos speak volumes. Dressed head-to-toe in black, Hathaway's Andy leans on Tucci's Nigel as the two attend a funeral scene in a cemetery — a chilling hint that fans may be saying goodbye to a beloved character. True to her fashionista roots, Andy stepped out in a sleek black dress with a sheer neckline detail, layered beneath a sharp trench coat. Her brunette waves fall loose with a soft curl, while oversized designer shades help her keep a low profile amid the somber setting. Nigel, ever the style icon, cut a sharp figure in a tailored black suit, complete with glasses that gave him a serious, contemplative edge. At one point, he leans on an umbrella while walking in what appears to be the funeral procession, pausing only to support Andy at her side. Fans may be mourning a major character, and the pressure is on for a sequel that lives up to the original. The original Devil Wears Prada wasn't just a box office smash — it cemented itself as a cultural touchstone, turning Streep's Miranda Priestly into an instantly iconic character and inspiring a generation of fashion lovers to whisper, 'That's all.' With Streep, Hathaway, Blunt, and Tucci all back in the mix — and a new roster of A-listers joining the chaos — the sequel is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated movie events in years. David Frankel — who helmed the original 2006 smash — is back in the director's chair for the sequel. British actor Kenneth Branagh (left) appears to be enjoying his role as Miranda Priestly's (played by Meryl Streep, right) third husband during filming for the forthcoming Devil Wears Prada sequel He'll be joined by a star-studded cast that includes Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Pauline Chalamet, Kenneth Branagh, Tracie Thoms, B.J. Novak, and Justin Theroux. According to IMDb, the premise 'follows Miranda Priestly's struggle against Emily Charlton, her former assistant turned rival executive, as they compete for advertising revenue amidst declining print media while Miranda nears retirement.' By the time the sequel hits theaters in May 2026, it will mark 20 years since the first film debuted — a movie that not only raked in $326.7 million worldwide on a modest $35–$41 million budget, but also became a pop culture phenomenon. The original scored two Academy Award nominations, including Best Actress for Meryl Streep, who also took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. It earned five BAFTA nods, three Golden Globe nominations overall, and cemented itself as one of the defining comedies of the 2000s. During an interview with WWD, Hathaway - who is also set to star in The Princess Diaries 3 - opened up about reprising previous roles. 'I was so beautifully cared for on both of those films,' she recalled, while adding that she had been young when making both The Devil Wears Prada and The Princess Diaries. 'I was so guided and looked after and cared for by the communities that made both of those films in particular, each of their directors, Garry Marshall and David Frankel.' She added, 'I'm so excited that now I can do that for other people, that now I have the knowledge and the experience and the confidence to take care of other people on sets in which I'm looked at as a leader.'
