Jessie J gives update after breast cancer surgery
The Price Tag singer announced in early June that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer and that she would be undergoing treatment.
The artist, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, posted a carousel of images and videos on Instagram documenting the 48 hours before and after her surgery.
She said: "This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours.
"I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit.
"I am home now, to rest and wait for my results.
"Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!"
The carousel included photos and videos of the singer in the hospital, her partner Chanan Safir Colman, and their child, Sky Safir Cornish Colman.
In one of the videos, the singer is seen singing the words: "I've now been at the hospital for six-and-a-half hours and I'm still waiting to go down to the theatre."
The singer-songwriter, best known for her number one songs Domino, Price Tag, and Bang Bang, performed at Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on 15 June and made an emotional speech promising to "beat breast cancer" in her final performance before her surgery.
She said: "I feel so proud to be feeling OK, to be this honest person where you say what you feel, and this being my last show before I go and have surgery."
The artist has battled with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020.
She was awarded four MOBO awards in 2011, including Best UK Act, Best Newcomer, Best Song for Do It Like A Dude, and Best Album with Who You Are. She also won the Brit Award for Rising Star in 2011.

Writing on his Substack, Jamie reflected on becoming a father for the first time. He penned: "Let's talk about the moment you become a dad. The "big one". "The Hollywood moment... you're supposedly overcome with a tidal wave of love the instant your baby enters the world. Except... what if you're not?" In particular, Jamie recounted the birth of his first daughter, Nell, back in 2020. He continued: "You're standing in a room that smells like bleach and adrenaline, watching the love of your life go through something you can barely comprehend. "And then someone hands you this tiny, wrinkled screaming creature and your first thought is: "Oh... so this is it?" Admitting it had taken time to feel a bond with his kids, Jamie questioned the widespread belief that new dads should feel an instant burst of love. He wrote: "We've been fed a lie. A dangerous, damaging, and ironically, well-intentioned lie. "A mother has carried the baby for nine months. Her hormones have transformed her body, rewired her brain, and prepared her emotionally and physically for motherhood. Love Island star reveals 'toughest' health battle with pain, anxiety and depression, saying 'I broke down at the side of the road crying' "A father, by contrast, is often still adjusting to the idea that there's even going to be a baby. And yet, the expectation is that we're both supposed to experience that first moment exactly the same. Spoiler alert: we don't." Meanwhile, the star also claimed that he wasn't alone in feeling these emotions. He said: 'I didn't feel anything… at least not at first. They whisper it. They say it like it's a confession. Like they're broken, or deficient, or cold." Jamie then said fathers' hormonal shifts come later - and through day-to-day interaction with the baby. He penned: "That's the secret no one tells you: love predominantly grows in the doing. "It's in the late-night bottle feeds, the burp that hits your chest like a warm milk bomb, the moment your baby recognises your face and cracks their first real smile. "It's not love at first sight. It's a love that builds with effort, sacrifice, presence.' Jamie continued: "It didn't happen the day my child was born. It happened after weeks of showing up through the self-doubt and battles with that internal monologue. "Until one day I realised the moment had crept up on me… I had slowly and assuredly snuck into the spotlight and became a leading character in my little girl's world. "To this day my world is dedicated to becoming the best dad I can be. Not because I'm supposed to. Because I want to. Because I love them. "When I look at any of my children bleary-eyed, heart full, I realise I would do anything for them. Jamie said he hopes sharing these thoughts will help ease pressure on first-time dads. He said: "If you're a new dad and you're not feeling it yet, relax. There's nothing wrong with you. You're not broken. You're not cold. You're just not done. "Give it time. Show up. Keep showing up. Because when that connection does hit, it won't be because the world told you to feel it. It'll be because you built it."

USA star Ilona Maher mulling move to WWE after Rugby World Cup
USA rugby player Ilona Maher is contemplating an offer to participate in WWE wrestling as a stepping stone to Hollywood after the Women's Rugby World Cup that kicks off on Friday in England. "I've been approached before by the WWE," she told the BBC, joking that her ring name would be 'Maher-vellous'. "I should think about it, there is great money in it." Maher is the world's most followed rugby player with nearly nine million followers across Instagram and TikTok. She was also a contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars', posed for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue and was named best breakthrough athlete at this year's Espys, ESPN's annual award show. "I would love to get into the acting space and the scripted space. I think a Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson, John Cena progression - I would love to do that," Maher said. "It would be exciting to see my body type on the screen. I'll start off small, probably like a hot assassin or something, let's not get too crazy. I'm not going to be in a rom-com just yet. "We'll see. The world is open, but I do see myself coming back to rugby."
