Jessie J gives update after breast cancer surgery
The Price Tag singer announced in early June that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer and that she would be undergoing treatment.
The artist, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, posted a carousel of images and videos on Instagram documenting the 48 hours before and after her surgery.
She said: "This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours.
"I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit.
"I am home now, to rest and wait for my results.
"Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!"
The carousel included photos and videos of the singer in the hospital, her partner Chanan Safir Colman, and their child, Sky Safir Cornish Colman.
In one of the videos, the singer is seen singing the words: "I've now been at the hospital for six-and-a-half hours and I'm still waiting to go down to the theatre."
The singer-songwriter, best known for her number one songs Domino, Price Tag, and Bang Bang, performed at Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on 15 June and made an emotional speech promising to "beat breast cancer" in her final performance before her surgery.
She said: "I feel so proud to be feeling OK, to be this honest person where you say what you feel, and this being my last show before I go and have surgery."
The artist has battled with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020.
She was awarded four MOBO awards in 2011, including Best UK Act, Best Newcomer, Best Song for Do It Like A Dude, and Best Album with Who You Are. She also won the Brit Award for Rising Star in 2011.

Styled By Niamh: Social media sensation Sian Walton on her not-so Simple Life
As a child, Irish social media star Sian Walton had a very different career in mind for herself – and became an influencer almost by accident. 'I am very much a big animal lover so I wanted to be a vet, but as I got older I hadn't a clue. 'I knew there was something out there for me, though influencing just wasn't a thing at the time,' Sian told Styled. Boohoo Chiffon Satin V Neck Maxi Dress – €29.00 Boohoo Suede tassel jacket €47.00 Boohoo Wide Fit Western Style Harness Detail Knee High Boots €34.00 Newbridge Silverware Dew Drop Oval Pendant with Mulberry Stone €50.00 She said inspiration first struck when she found herself adrift after leaving school. 'It was over 10 years ago. I was only 18 and had just left school, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. All my friends were in college, and I did a personal training course. 'I started sharing all my workouts, food and anything fitness related. A lot of gym selfies,' she laughed. Sian grew up in the north Dublin countryside but went to school in Loreto on the Green in the heart of the city centre. 'It was a journey every day, but I absolutely loved being in the city – especially growing up in the middle of nowhere basically. It was exciting and different.' Horse & Carriage Enamel Hinged Bangle Bracelet – Gold €125 But she confided, she didn't have many friends at school and ended up losing the few she had because of her hugely popular Instagram and Youtube accounts. 'It was seen as 'embarrassing' at the time. So that really pushed me, and I devoted all my time to posting online. 'I would post every single day. 'After 10 years I've definitely grown a thick skin. I used to be very shy and sensitive, and I've changed a lot by putting myself out there,' she admitted. 'There have been times in the past where I have been upset over comments. Although it's not OK, I do think if you are getting negative comments – it just means you're doing something right!' Hollister Low-Rise Medium Wash Shortie Shorts € 45,95 Savida Maddie Rib Trim T-Shirt €12 However, she says YouTube is worse than Instagram for toxic comments. 'I remember getting a comment on my YouTube channel telling me to go drink bleach. I think I was around 20 at the time. That comment has always stuck with me, she admitted.' Sian – who credits her unusual name, which she 'loves', to her mum's influence – grew up as the youngest of three, with her older brother and sister now living abroad. Her father, Philip Walton, is a professional golfer who took the winning putt in the 1995 Ryder Cup, so it's little surprise that she loves to hit the links. I definitely would love to play it more – I grew up around it. My dad has taught me a lot, and I absolutely love to go to the driving range with him.' The gym has, unsurprisingly, also been a huge part of her life over the last 10 years. 'I wouldn't call it a hobby, more of a lifestyle – I can't imagine my life without it. Not just for the physical benefits but mentally also. 'It's a complete escape for me and it always puts me in the best mood.' Boohoo Structured Satin Skater Mini Dress €32.50 Sian met her boyfriend and 'best friend', Brook Wright, seven years ago and she currently works front of house at his new venture in Swords, The Brook. 'We met in a nightclub in town and just hit it off from there. We are complete opposites if I'm honest! I'm probably a bit too laid back and he's super organised. 'They do say opposites attract. He has always pushed me to be my absolute best and to believe in myself at times when I haven't,' she said of his support. V by VeryDenim Co-Ord High Waist Jeans – Mid Was €52 Boohoo Studded Felt Detail Western Cowboy Hat €16.00 For now, she doesn't know what the future holds; she is just 'taking it day by day'. But despite her glamorous lifestyle, she does see herself on a farm one day. 'Growing up we had hens, a horse, donkey, cats, the list goes on… but I have always wanted to be on TV as well, so who knows!' The Simple Life Say what you will but fun fashion peaked in the early 2000's. And few people encapsulated bright, bubbly fashion like the glamorous double act that was Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie in their mega successful reality show The Simple Life. Pairing neon bikini tops and bandanas with the shortest of denim shorts wasn't out of the question, and flip-flops, low-rise jeans, even high heels for a day on the farm was par for the course. Cowboy hats, hairbands, neck scarfs, and oversized, outrageous totes and sunglasses can all be used to give a nod to to the style icons if you don't feel like going full-Paris. I Dream of Jeanie V by Very Denim Co-Ord Asymmetric Waistcoat – Mid Wash €42 Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle jeans campaign has made denim the outfit du jour. Denim can be both fun and functional – its beauty lies in the fact it's versatile enough to be styled for any occasion. The one thing to consider when choosing a perfect pair of jeans is that body type is all-important. Asos Nike Basketball NBA Unisex LA Lakers Lebron James jersey vest in yellow €83.99. Levis 501® 90's Jeans €84.00 Skinny jeans are flattering for most body types, whilst barrel-leg jeans work particularly well for pear and hourglass silhouettes. Flares can be tricky to pull off so approach with an abundance of caution. But luckily for us ladies, high-waisted jeans have made a massive comeback and are generally flattering for all shapes and sizes. Fest-Fabulous The festival season is in full swing with Electric Picnic just around the corner. So here is a handy guide to all weather festival essentials. Go wild and express yourself – just don't forget to pack a good pair of wellies. It's a time when you can let your hair down and discard the office day wear in favour of something fun, like hot pants and a cowboy hat. Flowy skirts and oversized shirts and sweaters look great in festival photos, and they have the added benefit of keeping you warm if it gets a bit nippy-which let's face it, it usually does in Ireland. A good jacket is essential, preferably one with a hood, while a tote bag fulfils a dual purpose – they hold a lot and look great in pics. Above all, don't forget to pack SPF and sunglasses. The first is always essential and the sunglasses – well, hopefully you'll need them! Love Island's Jamie Jewitt admits he didn't LOVE his kids when they were born – after welcoming three children
Jamie reflected on his feelings upon first becoming a dad dad struggle Love Island's Jamie Jewitt admits he didn't LOVE his kids when they were born – after welcoming three children LOVE Island star Jamie Jewitt admitted initially feeling a disconnection from his children when they were born. Reality star Jamie, 34, met and began a relationship with Camilla Thurlow on the ITV2 dating show in 2017. 4 Jamie Jewitt shares three children with wife Camilla Thurlow Credit: Instagram 4 The couple met on Love Island and married four years later Credit: The Mega Agency 4 Jamie has addressed initial challenges of fatherhood Credit: Instagram The couple married four years later and welcomed Nell, four, Nora, two and nine-month-old Brodie together. Writing on his Substack, Jamie reflected on becoming a father for the first time. He penned: "Let's talk about the moment you become a dad. The "big one". "The Hollywood moment... you're supposedly overcome with a tidal wave of love the instant your baby enters the world. Except... what if you're not?" In particular, Jamie recounted the birth of his first daughter, Nell, back in 2020. He continued: "You're standing in a room that smells like bleach and adrenaline, watching the love of your life go through something you can barely comprehend. "And then someone hands you this tiny, wrinkled screaming creature and your first thought is: "Oh... so this is it?" Admitting it had taken time to feel a bond with his kids, Jamie questioned the widespread belief that new dads should feel an instant burst of love. He wrote: "We've been fed a lie. A dangerous, damaging, and ironically, well-intentioned lie. "A mother has carried the baby for nine months. Her hormones have transformed her body, rewired her brain, and prepared her emotionally and physically for motherhood. Love Island star reveals 'toughest' health battle with pain, anxiety and depression, saying 'I broke down at the side of the road crying' "A father, by contrast, is often still adjusting to the idea that there's even going to be a baby. And yet, the expectation is that we're both supposed to experience that first moment exactly the same. Spoiler alert: we don't." Meanwhile, the star also claimed that he wasn't alone in feeling these emotions. He said: 'I didn't feel anything… at least not at first. They whisper it. They say it like it's a confession. Like they're broken, or deficient, or cold." Jamie then said fathers' hormonal shifts come later - and through day-to-day interaction with the baby. He penned: "That's the secret no one tells you: love predominantly grows in the doing. "It's in the late-night bottle feeds, the burp that hits your chest like a warm milk bomb, the moment your baby recognises your face and cracks their first real smile. "It's not love at first sight. It's a love that builds with effort, sacrifice, presence.' Jamie continued: "It didn't happen the day my child was born. It happened after weeks of showing up through the self-doubt and battles with that internal monologue. "Until one day I realised the moment had crept up on me… I had slowly and assuredly snuck into the spotlight and became a leading character in my little girl's world. "To this day my world is dedicated to becoming the best dad I can be. Not because I'm supposed to. Because I want to. Because I love them. "When I look at any of my children bleary-eyed, heart full, I realise I would do anything for them. Jamie said he hopes sharing these thoughts will help ease pressure on first-time dads. He said: "If you're a new dad and you're not feeling it yet, relax. There's nothing wrong with you. You're not broken. You're not cold. You're just not done. "Give it time. Show up. Keep showing up. Because when that connection does hit, it won't be because the world told you to feel it. It'll be because you built it."

USA star Ilona Maher mulling move to WWE after Rugby World Cup
USA rugby player Ilona Maher is contemplating an offer to participate in WWE wrestling as a stepping stone to Hollywood after the Women's Rugby World Cup that kicks off on Friday in England. "I've been approached before by the WWE," she told the BBC, joking that her ring name would be 'Maher-vellous'. "I should think about it, there is great money in it." Maher is the world's most followed rugby player with nearly nine million followers across Instagram and TikTok. She was also a contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars', posed for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue and was named best breakthrough athlete at this year's Espys, ESPN's annual award show. "I would love to get into the acting space and the scripted space. I think a Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson, John Cena progression - I would love to do that," Maher said. "It would be exciting to see my body type on the screen. I'll start off small, probably like a hot assassin or something, let's not get too crazy. I'm not going to be in a rom-com just yet. "We'll see. The world is open, but I do see myself coming back to rugby."
