Rihanna in major career boost after axing London gigs following third pregnancy with partner ASAP Rocky
RI-START Rihanna in major career boost after axing London gigs following third pregnancy with partner ASAP Rocky
WITH baby number three on the way, Rihanna could be forgiven for wanting to just put her feet up for the foreseeable.
But after we revealed in March that she cancelled a string of live dates for this year, my insiders have told me her tour is now back on for next year.
And the shows will see her performing in the UK for the first time in a decade.
A source said: 'Rihanna pulled the plug just days before her 2025 tour was due to be announced.
'There ended up being issues with production and scheduling conflicts, plus she didn't feel like her music was ready.
'But Rihanna and her team are now confident they can make it work for next year.
'The dates will also coincide with the tenth anniversary of [her last album] Anti, and fans can expect to hear her new music too.
'Rihanna might be pregnant with her third baby but she is the ultimate working mum and has the support of her partner A$ap Rocky.
'It's going to be incredible for her fans and she can't wait to be back out on stage.'
Before Rihanna dramatically pulled the plug on her shows this summer at the 11th hour, she had reserved six dates at the London Stadium for July.
The decision to cull the shows means she now has time to make sure she is totally happy with her next album — and it gives her time to focus on her new baby.
Dream come true
Rihanna is one of the best-selling artists ever, with more than 250million records sold worldwide.
Pregnant Rihanna's third baby's gender revealed as partner A$AP Rocky slips and leaks news on Smurfs red carpet
As well as nine UK No1 singles, including We Found Love and Only Girl (In The World), she has built a huge beauty and cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty.
Being honest, it makes me feel tired just looking at what Ri-Ri juggles.
To see her back on stage in the UK would be a dream come true for next year, especially after the incredible summer of music we're having right now.

Drake posed in front of Jet2 branding at a UK airport and joked: 'From Jet2 to 2Jets ya musta mad.'
I'm sure he'll get discounted tickets if his private plane is ever grounded. It comes after Mariah Carey used the audio from the advert on a post this week.
SI'S PEGG-ER OUT IN VID
SIMON PEGG has revealed he got his todger out for a joke in a home video with wife Maureen – and accidentally played it to his parents-in-law at Christmas.
The Hot Fuzz star told the Wrong Turns podcast: 'Everyone was gathered around the TV. I found a video cassette . . . it's of my wife and myself on holiday in Catalonia. Maureen comes up and she's wearing this nice summer dress.
'Then I step in front of the camera saying, 'I'm wearing this . . . ' and as I'm watching myself, a little tremor of a memory comes back to me.
'But not before I pulled down my trousers and shorts, grabbed my penis, and I go, 'This is my shirt, this is my shorts, this is my penis.'
'Not only that, I swing it around, you know, the helicopter trick.'
Bet they all left the pigs in blankets.

She replied: 'I am happy today. I think we always reminisce, we don't have to miss.'

Jet2 slams Trump deportation meme. White House hits back
"Our branding has become something of a viral phenomenon this summer and we are pleased to see how many people have used it in good humour," a and Jet2holidays spokesperson said in a July 31 statement to USA TODAY. "This has put a smile on many people's faces, just like our holidays do." 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday': Mariah Carey, Jeff Goldblum and more stars jump on trend The statement continued: "We are of course aware of a post from the White House social media account. This is not endorsed by us in any way, and we are very disappointed to see our brand being used to promote Government policy such as this." In a video posted on the White House's official social media accounts on July 29, people are escorted out of a van and marched onto a plane while their hands and ankles are handcuffed. Though federal agents' faces are blurred, the detainees' faces are not. The footage is set to the audio of the 2024 commercial, which blasts British singer Jess Glynne's 2015 song "Hold My Hand" as it advertises a limited-time vacation package deal for customers. The caption for the White House's post, which references the script heard in the advertisement, reads: "When ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. ?? Nothing beats it!" Since his return to the White House, President Trump has spearheaded a mass deportation campaign, targeting undocumented workers and families across the 50 states. 'The memes will continue': White House When reached for comment by USA TODAY, the White House's deputy press secretary vowed to continue using memes to promote the Trump administration's campaign promise for a crackdown on people living in the U.S. without documents. "There is nothing more unifying and positive than deporting criminal illegal aliens and making American communities safer," said Abigail Jackson. "The memes will continue until every criminal illegal alien is removed!" 'Makes me sick': Singer slams White House for using her song to promote deportations Trump has long vowed to deport undocumented immigrants, citing threats to public safety. Deportation efforts, which have involved a huge budget increase for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and an expansion of jail facilities, including the so-called "Alligator Alcatraz," have contributed to steep declines in border crossings by unauthorized migrants. Despite claims of a focus on those with criminal backgrounds, there are reports of people, including schoolchildren, farm workers, those who are married to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents without criminal records, also being targeted by the Department of Homeland Security. Singer Jess Glynne 'sick' over deportation video using 'Hold My Hand' Glynne, 35, whose pop hit helped propel the widely parodied commercial to fame, has also spoken out about the White House's use of it. "This post honestly makes me sick. My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity - never about division or hate," she wrote in a July 30 Instagram story alongside a screenshot of the White House's deportation video on X. Know your meme: The Jet2 holiday audio, explained What is 'a Jet2 holiday'? The 2024 commercial, which has blown up on TikTok with nearly 2 million videos using its audio, features British actress Zoe Lister heartily declaring, "Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday. And right now, you can save ?50 per person! That's ?200 off for a family of four." Many users feature the upbeat sound in their videos, juxtaposing it with a horrifying vacation incident or a funny, candid moment. One post depicts a traveler standing in a construction zone after allegedly being stranded in Croatia because their hotel "hasn't actually been built yet." Another shows a person spraying a fire extinguisher around an airport terminal after attempting to sneak on an airplane.

Beautiful island worth £25m just 39 miles from UK's 'worst seaside town'
Boasting more than 500 acres of rustic gardens orchards, meadows, and salt marsh - and five miles of soft golden sand - you wouldn't expect this breathtakingly beautiful island to be in the UK A stunning island with five miles of soft golden sand feels worlds apart from its infamous neighbour. Situated on the idyllic Blackwater Estuary, and surrounded by some 550 acres of rustic gardens, orchards, meadows, and salt marsh - lies the enchanting isle of Osea. With secluded beaches and huge mansions, you'd expect to find a retreat this tranquil in the iconic Hamptons, or on a remote archipelago in the Caribbean. Instead, Osea Island (formerly known as Osey) is in Essex, and is located less than 40 miles from Clacton-on-Sea, a 'rundown' seaside town often ranked one of the worst in the country. In the words of Tatler Magazine, it 'feels more Martha's Vineyard than East Anglia'. On its official website, Osea Island describes itself as: "An idyllic haven basking serenely on the Blackwater Estuary, yet remarkably, just a little over an hour's drive from the city! "It's a place to switch off from a troubled world and savour moments as you wander along its five miles of private beaches, rarely bumping into another soul." Touted as a blank canvas for 'creating memories that will live on for years to come', this exclusive island is filled with charming cottages, apartments and grand houses which are all available to book for holidays and family get togethers. You can even hire out the entire island for private events, making it a magnet for celebs. In fact, it is reported Rihanna, Jude Law, Stormzy, and Daniel Radcliffe have all stayed at the island in the past - whether it be for filming locations, inspiration to write music, or a much-needed escape from reality. Last year, the island and all of its 38 residential properties, unexpectedly went up for sale - with a guide price of £25 million. However, the listing was later removed from Right Move. "The island is rich in history with evidence from the Viking, Norman and Roman eras and has connections with the brewing family Charrington (c.1903) and, during WWI, it was a secret naval base named 'SS Osea' and also referenced in WWII," said estate agents Fine & Country. "Today the island offers unique beauty in a natural habitat combined with the recent celebrity and business ventures." Luckily, tourists can still stay on Osea Island - but spending the night won't come cheap. For example, a two-night stay (Wednesday, July 30 - August 1) at the Captain's House, which features seven double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and extensive gardens that lead down to the beach, will set you back a whopping £5,980. If you're a group of 20 friends, this works out at around £300 per person. There are less grand properties on the island, such as Manor Beach 2. This luxury cottage sleeps up to four people, consisting of two double bedroom suites, a wood-burning stove, a kitchen and a dining area. Staying here on the exact same nights costs £960, which equals £240 per person.
