Buffalo Bills drafted T. J. Sanders in the second round of the 2025
NFL
Draft as the 41st overall pick. NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus wrote on his X that the Bills had signed Sanders to a four-year contract worth $10.645 million, with $10.073 guaranteed.
An X user instantly commented, 'Huge guaranteed money for second rounder.
' But that's not the case.
Just a day prior, Alfred Collins, a defensive lineman, signed a four-year rookie contract deal worth $10.3 million with $9 million guaranteed. The San Francisco 49ers drafted Collins in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft as the 95th overall pick. An X user rightly commented, 'Another near fully guaranteed deal in the second round, this trend is real.

Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk explains the meaning of 'guaranteed' in contract talks
On July 18, Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk under NBC Sports explained the term 'guaranteed' in contract talks. It means that 95 percent of the contract becomes guaranteed. It has been a hook for the second-round picks to sign their rookie contracts with their respective NFL teams this year. Smith further gave two examples.
On May 9, Cleveland Browns linebacker Carson Schwesinger signed a fully guaranteed four-year rookie contract worth $11.8 million.

Schwesinger was a second-round, 33rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Another rookie is Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins. On May 8, he signed a four-year rookie contract deal worth $11.7 million guaranteed. These two rookie players became the pinnacles of expectation for NFL agents.
The agents demanded 30 other second-round picks for guaranteed money.
But then, for straight two months, no second-round pick signed any deal.
With training camps right around the corner, the teams are under a lot of pressure regarding rookie deals. And, so, Smith reported that a lot of second-round picks have signed in the past 24 hours. Adding to those, came–T.J. Sanders' deal with the Buffalo Bills.

Karthik continued, 'Look, at lunch, India were down and out. People thought they'd be rolled over. But Gill and KL steadied things, then Jadeja and Washington finished it brilliantly. Even the lowest scorer after ducks — KL Rahul — got 90!' Vaughan agreed, noting how England, too, wouldn't have acted differently: 'If we had a young player on 85, no way would we have come off. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Swelling and internal bleeding in the brain, help this baby Donate For Health Donate Now Undo We'd have said, 'Get your hundred, then we'll shake hands.'
