Bengaluru tunnel road sparks fresh clash: Tejasvi Surya dares govt for open debate, alleges mega scam

Metro, suburban rail, buses and tunnel roads — all of it together will cut travel time, reduce air pollution and boost the economy. The Congress also claimed that it welcomes 'technical advice and public scrutiny' but accused Surya of grandstanding for the sake of headlines. Surya has also hinted that he will soon submit a memorandum to the Governor and even move court if the government pushes the project without wider consultations and a detailed independent review. Urban transport activists say the government has failed to clearly disclose detailed project reports, cost-benefit studies or independent environmental impact assessments. Tharoor to be kept away from all Congress events in Thiruvananthapuram: Muraleedharan
T'puram: At a time when the status of Shashi Tharoor 's relationship with his own party remains uncertain, senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan has said the party has decided to keep the Thiruvananthapuram MP away from its functions in the state capital, from where Tharoor was elected for four consecutive terms. "It is up to the party high command to decide whether to take action against him or not.
