Apoorva Mukhija reveals spending ₹3 lakh on her makeover but ‘nothing really changed': Hairdo, veneers, IV drips, more
Apoorva Mukhija spends lakhs in her makeover
The video began with Apoorva giving a before-and-after peek at how she looked. She said, "So I started introspecting about why people didn't like me, and then I realised it's not me, it's God's fault. Kyunki bhagwan ne mujhe attitude toh Aishwarya Rai wala diya par shakal ye diya hai (God gave me the attitude of Aishwarya Rai, but this face). Mujhe realise hua ki main agar thodi zada hot hoti toh (I realised that had I been a little more hot then) I would have gotten away with everything, including what I said on Latent (India's Got Latent)."
Apoorva gets her hair done, opts for veneers
At first, Apoorva visited the hair salon, where she got a new hairdo. She finished her salon treatment with a pedicure. Apoorva then went to the dentist to get veneers and then visited her dermatologist. Apoorva said in the video, 'Mujhe vishwas nahi ho raha hai ki main life mein itni ameer ho chuki hoon ki mere paas ye bhinn-bhnn prakaar ke doctors hai (I can't believe I've become so rich that I now have different types of doctors)."
Apoorva talks about her childhood
"Mere papa bachpan mein ek uncle ko phone lagate the jo humari building mein rehte the, aur wohi humari saari beemariyon ka ilaaj kar dete the (As a child, my father would just call an uncle from our building to treat all our illnesses)...But now look at me, taking six appointments in a day," she added.
Apoorva takes several treatments
Apoorva then went to a nail salon, followed by a laser treatment and ended her day by getting an IV drip. After returning home, she said, 'I spent close to ₹3 lakh, and this is what I finally look like now. I honestly look the same. Whatever little difference is there is because of the makeup. Nothing really changed even after spending ₹3 lakh, except for my teeth, which you all seem to hate... So if you liked this video, please like, share, and subscribe, and help me earn my ₹5 lakh back."
She shared the video with the caption, "I am a different person now." Her video has over 7.87 lakh views and over 81K likes. Apoorva has over 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube.
About Apoorva and India's Got Latent row
Apoorva, famously known as The Rebel Kid, was embroiled in India's Got Talent controversy earlier this year. She was accused of making an objectionable comment during the YouTube show. There was a major controversy after Ranveer Allahbadia made crude comments about parents and sex. Multiple complaints were filed in Mumbai seeking action against him, Apoorva and the show's host Samay Raina.
About Apoorva's other projects
Apoorva made her Bollywood debut with Nadaaniyan. Directed by Shauna Gautam, it released on Netflix in March. It also starred Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza and Jugal Hansraj, among others. She was last seen in the show The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar. It also featured Maheep Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Raj Kundra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Raftaar, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, Jannat Zubair, Elnaaz Nourozi, and Uorfi Javed.

Saiyaara director Mohit Suri reveals he was blackmailed with negative reviews, reacts to allegations of fake audience reactions
The romantic drama Saiyaara has taken the industry by storm, grossing over Rs 500 crore in the last few weeks and launching the careers of newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The movie also revitalised director Mohit Suri's career, which had been faltering in the last few years. He said in an interview that he'd been written off by the industry following the failure of his last film, Ek Villain Returns, and acknowledged that the same people who dismissed him were rattled by Saiyaara's success. He also spoke about viral videos of audience members having animated reactions while watching his film, and revealed that he'd been blackmailed for positive reviews by people he considers 'friends'. Chatting with Faridoon Shahryar on YouTube, he was asked about those viral videos, which showed audience members ranting, raving, fainting, and having exaggerated reactions to the film. He said that it is difficult to 'lie' about having a physical reaction to a film, which is what his mentor Mahesh Bhatt always told him to aim for. He said that it is easier to 'lie' in a review. 'I just don't read reviews,' he said, adding, 'A couple of them called me also, saying, 'We are going to write a bad review unless you…' I'm like, 'Write it, I won't read it'. I'll make a film, you have a right to watch it or not watch it. Same way, you make your content, I won't read it.' He said that Aashiqui 2, his previous major hit, was ignored by certain circles entirely. 'Now, when my film releases, I delete all my social media. I stay away, because I don't know which one is genuine and which one is not. Some of them are my friends, and I know that they charge money for it,' he said, adding that on-ground reactions cannot be faked. Also read – Saiyaara actor, 51, recalls facing bankruptcy, says he spent final Rs 250 on cheap booze and Chinese food, had zero money for three full days: 'I don't wear those days as a medal' In the same interview, Mohit Suri said that he had been written off by members of the industry following the failure of Ek Villain Returns, but YRF's Aditya Chopra not only believed in him, but urged him to make Saiyaara with newcomers. The movie has its origins in Aashiqui 3, but due to some differences between warring production banners, the story was turned into Saiyaara, and produced by YRF instead.

South Korea's top court rejects 'Baby Shark' copyright claim
. South Korea's Supreme Court has dismissed a 30 million won (about $21,600 or €18,454) copyright claim over the viral children's song "Baby Shark." US composer, Jonathan Wright, claimed the 2015 hit "Baby Shark" by South Korean education startup SmartStudy, now known as The Pinkfong Company, copied a song he released in 2011. But the court ruled Thursday Wright's rendition wasn't original enough to qualify for protection, upholding earlier decisions. Pinkfong's "Baby Shark" exploded globally after its 2015 release and now has more than 16 billion views on YouTube. Wright, known as Johnny Only, recorded his version in 2011, four years before Pinkfong's version. 'Baby shark' based on traditional melody popular at US summer camps Both songs are based on a traditional melody that has been popular at children's summer camps in the United States for many years. South Korean courts cleared Pinkfong of copyright infringement in 2021 and reaffirmed the decision in 2023. The Supreme Court upheld both rulings. "The Supreme Court accepts the lower court's finding that the plaintiff's song did not involve substantial modifications to the folk tune related to the case to the extent that it could be regarded, by common social standards, as a separate work," it said in a statement. Pinkfong said the court's ruling confirmed "Baby Shark" was "based on a traditional singalong chant that has entered the public domain."
