The busy business area has been transformed into downtown Manhattan for the Marvel flick starring Tom Holland as the friendly neighbourhood web-slinger.
Filming has seen a tank roaring through the city centre while a fleet of NYPD cars speed after it with their red and blue lights flashing.
And film-lovers managed to get a behind the scenes glimpse of how the MCU's sensational action scenes are made.
Movie crews have been setting off explosions as part of the tremendous pursuit.
This morning, hundreds of onlookers gathered at barriers on the edge of the film set.
The tank began speeding down Bothwell Street and drove past a raised crane arm with the explosives attached to it.
As the armoured vehicle roared past, the blast erupted in the air above the street, sending a huge fireball erupting in the air.
Police cars were skidding and screeching along the street as part of the jaw-dropping stunt.
Windows in nearby office buildings were shaken by the blast.
One worker said: "So many people are here today to see it. It's been busy for the past week with people coming to watch them filming.

"Everywhere just seems a lot busier now they know the car chase is being filmed.
"I watched today's explosion from the office window. As soon as it went off I could hear the glass shaking."
Another explosion was filmed over the weekend with a fireball erupting on the road in front of the three police cars being used in the chase.
Part of today's movie action has seen another cop car raised onto its side.

Earlier this week, movie star Holland, 29, was spotted on set filming scenes for his fourth instalment as the red-and-blue wall crawling hero.
He even donned the iconic costume when he came to meet fans.
Holland's stunt double was even seen swinging through the skies while attached to a huge scaffolding structure.
The action stand-in also rode on the roof of a speeding car.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will see Tom Holland return as the legendary hero.
It will also star his real-life girlfriend Zendaya, 28, and star Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.
The movie will be released on July 31 2026.

Maya Jama 'offered millions for Love Island as Netflix tries to poach her
Love Island host Maya Jama could reportedly secure a lucrative deal for ITV's longtime reality show hit to prevent losing her to rivals like Netflix. The twist-filled, sunny dating show just wrapped up for another year, and the show seems to be on the up and up with some fans hailing it 'the best season ever' and their viewing figures hitting 2.5 million – higher than it has been in years. A large part of this recent success coincides with the 30-year-old host taking over as the presenter in 2023 (after it experienced all-time lows of 1.3m viewers), not only revitalising the format but also gaining 3.2m followers along the way. As such, a source told The Sun's Biz on Sunday column that ITV has paid out to make sure she sticks around. The insider said: 'Maya is a huge hit with fans and the bosses. ITV are desperate not to lose her. They're acutely aware that she's being offered lucrative work with other companies, such as Netflix. She's hugely in demand. 'Maya is proud to be part of Love Island, and bosses want her to continue with the series for the All Stars and summer format. 'It is still early days but bosses are preparing an extremely good package for Maya that she would find hard to turn down.' The package is reportedly set to include a pay cheque of £800,000 to host the main summer series plus another £800k to host the All stars. That's a told of £1.6million. On top of this, she would be paid extra for hosting After Sun. The star clearly still has a lot of love for the show as she took to social media to celebrate Toni and Cach's victory in last week's live final. 'We are one of the few shows to do our finals live and I'm so grateful for the trust because it gives so much room for silliness and iconic moments, you truly never know what will happen and I had so much fun,' she wrote in a heartfelt post. More Trending Outside of her professional life, romance is also blossoming for the TV personality as she firmly put her relationship with Stormzy, and a high-profile break-up, in the past. In June, she was seen on a very lovey-dovey holiday with her boyfriend, Portuguese footballer Ruben Dias whom she was first linked in November. View More » Love Island is available to stream on ITVX. Jimmy Bullard returning to I'm A Celebrity... for All Stars
Jimmy Bullard returning to I'm A Celebrity... for All Stars The ex-Soccer AM host will be hoping to do better than his original stint in 2014 Jimmy Bullard and Carl Fogarty (Image: Mirrorpix) Jimmy Bullard is to take part in I'm A Celebrity... All Stars. The 46-year-old former footballer is said to be returning to the jungle alongside a number of other former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestants from previous years and the ex-Soccer AM host will be hoping to do better than his original stint in 2014, when he was the first campmate to be voted off. A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Jimmy had a brilliant time in the original series he took part in and it really opened the door to his broadcasting career. "He was voted off first last time and he felt he had a lot more to give. "Now he's got the chance to get stuck in again, although he's a bit older so he is worried he might find it harder to rough it. "His banter is still on top form though. Producers are hopeful he'll have a bromance with Harry Redknapp, who is also taking part." As well as Jimmy and 2018 King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp, The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins - who lasted only three days in the jungle when she took part in the 2014 edition of the programme - and 2016's third-placed Adam Thomas are also set to take part. Adam memorably took part in a record 12 Bushtucker Trials during his time in the Australian jungle and returned to present the companion series I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp with Joel Dommett and Emily Atack in 2019. A source told The Sun newspaper of his decision to sign up for All Stars: "This will be a glorious return for Adam as he established himself as a true fan favourite through his series in camp and then on the spin-off show. "He's stayed in the limelight, too, with Waterloo Road and then on ITV alongside brother Ryan with challenge show 99 To Beat. "It's the perfect time for him to head back into the jungle and affirm his position as Mr Bushtucker Trial." The first legends series aired in 2023 and saw the returns of former campmates Myleene Klass, Helen Flanagan and Jordan Banjo. Article continues below A source said: "That was one of the biggest entertainment shows of the year averaging 5.2million views across its consecutive weeknight run. "We're very excited about bringing back campmates from over the years in a brand-new setting in South Africa."

Christine McGuinness says she has can have a deeper connection with a woman The 37-year-old TV star – who split from Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness, 57, in 2022 – revealed she wants her next serious relationship to be with a woman as she doesn't want someone who is "playing games". (Image: INSTAGRAM) Christine McGuinness prefers dating women as she can have a "deeper connection". The 37-year-old TV star – who split from Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness, 57, in 2022 – revealed she wants her next serious relationship to be with a woman as she doesn't want someone who is "playing games". She told The Sun newspaper: "I describe my sexuality as being a free spirit. Now I'm enjoying spending time with women. I can just have a deeper connection with a woman. I like someone who knows what they want and isn't playing games." Christine – who has three children with Paddy – has only dated women for the past three years, with previous partners reported to include rapper, model and DJ Roxxxan, and singer Chelcee Grimes. However, she refuses to put a label on her sexuality – which she said Paddy has always been aware of. She said: "My ex-husband knew about it from when we first met and was fine with it." Meanwhile, Christine briefly joined the latest series of E4's Celebs Go Dating but pulled out soon after filming began. Dating expert Anna Williamson told The Sun: "It wasn't the right time for Christine to continue her journey in the agency. Article continues below "I think this is the absolute beauty of what the Celebrity Dating agency does - yes, it's a TV show, but it's also real. "And for Christine it was very brave that she wanted to dip her toe back into the world of dating and throughout the process of us getting to know her, she realised that perhaps this actually wasn't quite the right time for her to be doing that and took a great deal of confidence and bravery inside to recognise and actually now is not the right time."
