Scheana Shay's Scathing Takedown Of Lisa Vanderpump Explained

Graziadaily5 days ago
Vanderpump Rules brought us a lot of joy and heartbreak. One thing is for certain: the castreally gave us the best days of their lives (and many of the worst towards the end). Scheana Shay, one of the series' originals, has recently shared some unsavoury reflections on restauranteur, reality star and Vandermpump Rules' executive producer Lisa Vanderpump.
The mother-of-one started the series off with a difficult conversation with Vanderpump's then friend and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' castmate Brandi Glanville - the wife of the man Shay had an affair with. Now she's saying her former boss used her for TV.
Shay is doing the publicity rounds as she's releasing a new memoir, My Good Side . She told US Weekly , 'She low-key used my real-life pain to launch her TV empire — and what an empire she has. She gaslit me about it for a decade instead of just coming to me in the beginning. That's the thing with Lisa: She doesn't make mistakes. She makes moves and then calls them coincidences.'
She detailed another experience in which she felt manipulated during the series. 'I got a phone call from Lisa. She didn't want to fire James, so she needed someone to stand up for him. If you go back and watch, I'm getting a death stare from Lisa, like, "When are you going to speak up? When are you going to stick to the script?" That's when I stopped following her orders, and I feel like the relationship changed after that.'
The comments follow Bravo's announcement in November that they would be rebooting the series with a whole new cast.
In the memoir, Shay shares details of her husband Brock's affair while she was pregnant. She told US Weekly, when she found out she considered leaving him. 'Had there been no kid or, honestly, had I found out when he did it … 100 percent, without a doubt, I would have left. I've always been a person who said, 'If I'm ever cheated on, I would leave.' My ex-husband [Mike Shay] had an emotional affair, which honestly could be worse than physical, but this was such new territory for me to navigate.'

ITV Coronation Street fans rumble 'fake death' as they say one character will make shock return

Coronation Street viewers are convinced that one character who is meant to have been dead for years will soon make a shock return to Weatherfield. Coronation Street may soon be seeing one character return from the dead with fans claiming to have spotted some solid clues in the ITV soap. The character in question was thought to have been killed off screen years before but viewers only learned of their existence in the past year or so. ‌ Becky Swain was the mother of teen Betsy Swain, and the wife of detective Lisa Swain. Lisa has opened up about the loss of her spouse in the line of duty a couple of times and was also recently forced to face her sad past when she spoke about it in therapy. ‌ Becky's alleged death was revisited more than once in recent times with newcomers Matty and Logan Radcliffe's link to the death being revealed earlier this year. Details about what caused Becky's death and rumours of her being corrupt ahead of her murder, have kept the plot and the mystery surrounding her demise going. ‌ Fans who picked up on the constant mentions of her and the desire to know what really happened have now suggested there's more to be revealed when it comes to Becky's story, the Mirror reports. Amid some fresh spoilers that tease a twist about Lisa's new partner Carla Connor, fans are wondering if a huge bombshell will be dropped in the soap soon. ‌ While fans are waiting in anticipation to find out if Becky is actually dead while others are calling for the speculation that she is still alive to end, others can't shake the idea that she may be in hiding. The theory has been doing the round following new episodes and twists with fans now once again convinced that Becky will soon head to Weatherfield very much alive. ‌ Taking to social media one fan suggested: "What if Carla really does do a deep dive and finds out Becky is not only bent but also alive? What if those scenes at the park are her having to break the news to Lisa alongside the Private investigator?" Another fan echoed: "Feels like a juggernaut coming down the line but I could be wrong. Is Becky - deceased wife of DC Swain and mother of Betsy - not dead? "My very much of a guess is - she was undercover as a bent copper, big scary criminals, faked death to save her family, witness protection, yadda yadda yadda and suddenly TA-DA!!! ‌ "It's all the endless references and musings about a character we've never met. Feels like something's afoot. Also a handy nemesis for Carla? That's always a good thing." A third agreed with the theories, saying: "I agree that the endless references about someone who we have never met is suspicious!" Another torn fan then posted: "The only reason I think she has to be dead is surely a post mortem was carried out given the circumstances and surely Lisa had to identify her or saw her in her coffin." ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Someone else, who did not seem as impressed by the rumoured storyline, wrote: "Typical soap, if they don't die on screen, they're not actually dead." The theory kept on being shared, with somebody adding: "Yeah, I don't recall exactly what it was, but before the footy break a Swarla convo made me say Becky isn't dead." Yet another viewer chimed in: "Wouldn't surprise me if Becky's still alive."

Corrie confirms what Carla is up to in ITVX release - and it's unexpected

This article contains spoilers for tonight's Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX. Carla Connor (Alison King) has been concerned about girlfriend Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) in recent Coronation Street scenes, and tonight's episode revealed exactly what she planned to do about it. Lisa has been struggling since the death of colleague Craig Tinker brought back painful memories of wife Becky's murder, which have affected her ability to do her job. After making a mistake at work, which resulted in Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) suffering a seizure while in custody, Lisa was relegated to desk duty and ordered to attend a course of therapy sessions. Unfortunately, she didn't react well to the mention of Becky during her first session, and has since been tormented by the unanswered questions she has about the events surrounding her death. Last week, Lisa shared her fears with Carla about the allegations that Becky was a corrupt cop, as she worried that she didn't really know her wife at all. In tonight's episode, when Lisa confessed to Carla that she was concerned that she may never be able to return to active duty, Carla decided to do whatever she could to help Lisa get her life back on track. When Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) borrowed Carla's laptop, he stumbled upon a request for a visiting order that she had written to Logan Radcliffe. Logan has been in prison since the murder of his younger brother Mason, but his brother Matty also previously alluded to them both being involved in Becky's murder. Michael was horrified by the request, and quickly confronted Carla, reminding her that Logan had previously attacked her and left her with serious health issues . However, Carla was determined to help Lisa, and explained to Michael that she wanted her girlfriend to be able to move on with her life, and if that meant getting answers from Logan, then so be it. More Trending By the time Carla got home, Lisa appeared to be feeling much more certain, as she revealed to Carla that she was going to forget the past and focus on her future and getting her career back on track. With Lisa determined to move on, Carla sent Michael a text admitting that he was right, and promising not to visit Logan.
