WHEN a snap of Liz Hurley kissing Billy Ray Cyrus emerged, their romance seemed so unlikely people thought the photo must be computer generated.
But while the English rose and the tattooed country singer from Kentucky are not an obvious match, the union is not entirely out of character.

Austin Powers actress Liz, 59, has a history of dating trouble men, including love cheats Hugh Grant and the late cricketer Shane Warne.
So it is perhaps not surprising to hear their bond has flourished, as Liz believes she can 'save' Billy after his years of personal woes.
The past 12 months have seen the Achy Breaky Heart singer in the grip of a family feud; facing allegations of domestic abuse by his younger, third wife Firerose — which he denies; and a cringeworthy performance at an inauguration event for US President Donald Trump, which led to him being widely mocked amid a series of technical difficulties.
But Liz has been putting in the work.
The pair first met in 2022 playing the romantic leads on movie Christmas In Paradise.
However, The Sun can reveal they reconnected last year when he turned to the actress and model for help as his third marriage crumbled.
A source said: 'Liz has been keeping the whole thing under wraps and has barely told anyone.
'She wanted to make sure there was really something special between them before telling the world.
'There has always been a spark, but he reached out again last year when his short-lived third marriage ended.
'He has had a really hard time, but she has been there helping him turn things around.
'World may lose you'
Billy Ray Cyrus finalizes divorce from Firerose and will pay ex-wife $0 after nasty court battle over 7-month marriage
'Liz has been really great for him, but her friends are cautious because of what's been said in the past about him.
'She insists he has turned a corner and is a changed man.'
The couple went public with their relationship on Sunday, when Liz shared a photo on Instagram of Billy, 63, kissing her.
Alongside the picture, she simply wrote, 'Happy Easter', followed by a heart emoji.
Showing his support for the romance, her son Damian commented with party and heart emojis.
But, tellingly, none of his six children have acknowledged the post.
That is because the Cyrus family fell into a divisive feud in 2022, when it was announced that Billy Ray and Tish — who is pop sensation Miley Cyrus's mum — were divorcing after 29 years of marriage.
The chasm widened when, just months later, Billy got engaged to Australian singer Firerose, who is only four years older than Miley.
This family breakdown is one heartache Liz has been helping Billy address.
The Bedazzled actress is famously close to her son Damian, often posting photos together online and gushing about their love for each other.
She has been urging Billy to take the same approach with his girls.
A source said: 'Liz has been encouraging him to mend his fractured relationship with his daughter Miley, as well as his other children.
'Her closeness with Damian is inspiring.'
In recent weeks, Billy Ray has publicly reached out to both his youngest daughter Noah and to Miley in posts on social media.

As well as commenting on several posts shared on Miley's Instagram — despite the fact she doesn't run her own social accounts — he has also praised them on his page.
In one message — accompanied by a photo of Miley that promotes her new album, Something Beautiful, plus a still from Noah's recent Don't Put It All On Me music video — he wrote: 'You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a dad who in less than one week's time has had his ass kicked and his mind blown by not one . . . but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus. Flesh and blood . . . completely taking their art to a whole new level. Congratulations girls!
'Well done.
'I'm so damn proud of both of you.
'I'm actually crying as I write this.
'Thank God you can't see me.
'Have fun now and be happy!
'Love Dad.'
It is a turnaround from the chaos that has surrounded Billy in recent years.

Dramas include his claims that Firerose made nearly $100,000 of 'fraudulent' credit card payments, which she said was 'untrue', and he requested a restraining order.
But she later hit back and alleged he had domestically abused her and said he was 'unpredictable and volatile' because of alleged substance use.
His lawyers insisted he 'vehemently' denied the allegations and said it was Billy Ray 'who, in fact, has been abused. Not only verbally and emotionally by the defendant, but physically'.
The couple finally settled their divorce last August.
But in January, Billy Ray's son Trace made a public plea for his dad to get help following his appearance at the Trump event, when a sound glitch led to his embarrassing a capella performance.
Trace — his second wife's son from a previous relationship, who was adopted and raised by Billy — wrote on Instagram: 'Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you've pushed all of us away.
'Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life, and you haven't even been there for her.
'We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew and hoping for the day he returns.

'Extremely close'
'You're not healthy, Dad, and everyone is noticing it.
'Just like I showed up for you at Mamaw's funeral when you didn't expect me to, I'm still here right now.
'I hope you realise this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon.'
He added: 'I don't know what you're struggling with exactly.
'But I think I have a pretty good idea, and I'd love to help you if you would open up and receive the help.'
Now it would seem Liz is behind him doing just that.
But The Sun can reveal the couple have been linked for a while — even if they are only now going public.
A source on Christmas In Paradise has told how they first grew close on set, spending long periods alone together.
While they were not seen kissing, crew members were suspicious about a potential love affair as Billy, who was still married to Tish at the time, spoke to almost no one other than Liz.
The movie, released in 2022, was mainly filmed in December 2021.
One of the producers, who wants to stay anonymous, told The Sun: 'Anytime I saw him, he was always around Elizabeth.

'They were extremely close.
'I noticed they were getting quite close.
'But he, at the time, was still married to Miley's mum Tish.
'He's quite an oddball.
'A bit strange.
'He had security guards with him at all times.
'And no one else was ever with him.'
He added: 'That was the first time they ever met.
'They hugged a few times, but I did not think anything at the time.
'But now that I saw they are dating, I thought maybe that's when it started.
'Billy was very reclusive on set, but he would spend lots of time with Elizabeth.
'They were extremely close considering he was always keeping to himself, always with his security and his manager.
'The only person who was ever really around him was just Elizabeth.
'The rest of the cast was separate.
'It was just Elizabeth and him together.'
Last May, the same month Billy filed for divorce from Firerose, Damian revealed that his mum was 'seeing someone'.
But he warned: 'We're both quite private.
'I've seen first-hand how devastating relationships in the public eye can become.
'And we've both made a decision that until somebody is incredibly serious, we're not going to speak publicly about who we're seeing.'
It would appear that time is now.

'Worst show on TV' is ending and its biggest critics are full of regret

And Just Like That… Sex and The City fans will no longer be tormented by its divisive revival. Creator Michael Patrick King has confirmed that And Just Like That, which has regularly been branded 'the worst show on TV',is coming to an end after its third and current season. In a statement shared on Instagram, King wrote: 'And just like that… the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end. 'While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That… season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop. 'Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12. 'SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season. 'It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years.' Despite the relentless backlash and calls for it to be over, viewers who have spent three seasons 'hate-watching' are still absolutely crushed. And Just Like That hater Tom Zohar wrote on X: 'PLEASE I DIDN'T MEAN ALL THE THINGS I SAID ABOUT YOU I LOVE YOU PLEASE DON'T LEAVE.' Another fan who loved to hate-watch, Felipe, tweeted: 'conflicted because the show is objectively terrible but i'd still watch 10 seasons of it.' Pop Culture Instagram account Deuxmoi commented: 'See what happens when you complain!!!!!' Others said they 'felt sick' and were 'devastated' but there was also a large sector of the And Just Like That audience who breathed a sigh of relief. Sex and The City was an instant movement when it launched in 1998, making Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes, (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte Yorke (Kristin Davis) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) four of the most loved women of the decade. Their influence has hardly faltered almost 30 years later. In 2021 the girls were back – well, without Samantha due to Cattrall's fall out with the rest of the cast – in And Just Like That, the reboot so many longed for but never thought would happen. The excitement was unrivalled but soon fizzled out when Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte were criticised for being unrecognisable to the women fans adored and watching Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez) felt like a punishment when we'd all been so patient. The latest series was praised for getting back on track but it also came with bizarre misfires. In one episode, Lisa Todd Wexley's (Nicole Ari Parker) dad died from a stroke. Fans noted that she claimed he'd already died back in season one. Producers did explain the issue, insisting the father mentioned in season one was her stepfather but fans weren't satisfied with the response. Parker shared a series of iconic Carrie moments and said the columnist with the wardrobe worth millions 'dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all.' Davis, who starred as Charlotte for 27 years, wrote: 'I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love. 'And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever.' And Just Like That is available to stream on NOW. Got a story? The guerilla artist behind Glasgow's hilarious fake street signs reveals why he does it

The anonymous artist has placed spoof signs near Glasgow landmarks to make people smile and notice their surroundings A mysterious artist has been quietly placing spoof street signs across Glasgow, aiming to bring a moment of surprise and humour to those who stumble upon them. ‌ The anonymous creative, who goes by the name @ASignOfHumour, has installed dozens of handmade signs near city landmarks. The sites of some of his more prominent signs include the Barrowland Ballroom, the Finnieston Crane, and the Glasgow Science Centre. ‌ Each sign is intended to make people pause, laugh and take in their surroundings, and maybe even look up from their phones. What began as a light-hearted way to spark joy has become a larger project for the artist. ‌ He revealed to the BBC that his work has been inspired by a growing sense that many people were missing the beauty of Glasgow. 'The main goal is to spark joy,' he said. 'But it really started as a response to a lack of appreciation for Glasgow and its surroundings.' ‌ Though his real identity remains under wraps, the artist admits his children are in on the secret. 'The kids know because I will run designs past them to get their opinions and things, but they're very much under secrecy not to tell people about it,' he said. 'If it's done anonymously then it's about the sign, it kind of adds to the fun.' Made from painted plywood and topped with custom vinyl lettering, the signs are installed using cable ties so they can be easily removed without damage. ‌ Sustainability is a key part of the project, with materials chosen to be recyclable and reusable. Unlike traditional graffiti, the signs are placed in a way that avoids interfering with traffic or cluttering busy areas. Most are found on footpaths, near rivers, in quiet parks, or along cycle routes, where passers-by can take a moment to enjoy them without distraction. ‌ Glasgow has a long-standing reputation for public art and murals, and recently hosted the UK's first major exhibition of Banksy's work. While this new artist admires Banksy, he says his approach is different. 'I love Banksy's work, but this is more about subtle moments of silliness and connection,' he said. ‌ Among the signs already placed around the city, some of the artist's favourites include a Doctor Who-themed design beside a police box, a warning about pterodactyl nesting near the dome-shaped IMAX cinema, and a sign that depicts the OVO Hydro arena as a spaceship. A few have even appeared outside the city, in places such as Largs and Bonnybridge, the latter known as the UK's UFO hotspot. ‌ Some of his creations have gained attention online, with one in particular going viral on Instagram. He said: 'People post photographs of them on their own feeds and I noticed that one of them seems to have gone absolutely viral, so it's got people from all over the world commenting on it,' he said. Despite the guerrilla nature of the installations, he has never run into trouble. He says he would willingly remove any sign if asked. Looking ahead, the artist hopes to take his signs further afield, with plans to visit Edinburgh during the city's August festivals.
