Lady Gaga Joins Wednesday Season 2 With New Song Dead Dance, Fans Can't Keep Calm
Get ready for a blend of creepy and iconic! Lady Gaga is stepping into the spooky world of Wednesday and this has a Dead Dance connection. The singer's brand-new track is set to drop alongside the upcoming season of Netflix's show and fans can't wait to see the magic and chaos she adds to the world of the Addams Family universe.
While Netflix is still keeping plot specifics under wraps, Variety has reported that the new track is set to release next month, along with a music video that is already generating a lot of buzz and anticipation. The timing couldn't be more perfect as it aligns with Lady Gaga's official debut in the show's second season.
Lady Gaga In Wednesday 2
In Season 2 of Wednesday, Lady Gaga will play Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious and legendary teacher at Nevermore Academy. Described as someone with a haunting aura and secrets of her own, Rosaline is expected to cross paths with Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Addams in ways that will add more layers to the already intriguing storyline. Fans are already speculating that her character may either mentor Wednesday or challenge her.
Just last month, Gaga was spotted with Wednesday creator Tim Burton on Mexico City's Island of the Dolls, a location known for its ghostly legends. The haunting backdrop is rumoured to be connected with the Dead Dance music video which she reportedly recorded with Andrew Watt and Cirkut, producers from Gaga's Chromatica and Mayhem eras.
Tim Burton Calls Working With Lady Gaga Inspirational
As for Wednesday Season 2's release schedule, Netflix is set to drop the upcoming installment in two parts: Part 1 premieres August 6 and Part 2 releases on September 3. Earlier, Burton spoke about Gaga at the premiere of the upcoming season in London last week, saying that working with the artist on the series was 'inspirational." He told Variety, 'She's such an artist and so for me, working with an artist is inspirational," Burton, who directs and executive produces 'Wednesday."
Season 2 promises to be darker and more twisted, exploring Wednesday's psychic abilities and digging deeper into family secrets. With Gaga now a part of the Nevermore world, fans can expect more twists and turns along with unexpected drama.
