The Arizona Cardinals have met with a number of draft prospects at the NFL combine this past week. One such player is linebacker Femi Oladejo. He told reporters at his media interview at the combine that he had an informal meeting with the Cardinals.
Oladejo played two seasons at Cal and his final two seasons for UCLA. He converted from playing off the ball to playing the defensive edge. Last season, with UCLA in the Big Ten for the first time, had 4.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 57 total tackles.
He is 6-foot-3 and 259 pounds. At the combine, he posted a 36.5-inch vertical leap, a 10-foot broad jump and 20 bench press reps at 225 pounds. He did not run the 40-yard dash.
He will likely be a late-day pick considering he is still developing as an edge rusher. But because the Cardinals need multiple players at the player, he could be a target for the Cardinals.
