The Pitt Season 2: Everything We Know
Strong vital signs resulted in a swift Season 2 renewal for the Noah Wyle medical drama The Pitt, which is on track to return with new episodes in a matter of months. The pickup came just seven hours into Dr. Robby's shift — long before the acclaimed series' 15th and final hour dropped on April 10.
'We're excited and delighted with the audience response for our first season of The Pitt and can't be more appreciative of our partners at Max and Warner Bros. Television for all of their extraordinary support throughout our first season,' Wyle and fellow executive producers R. Scott Gemmill and John Wells said in a joint statement on Feb. 14.

Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch had to be talked off a ledge by Dr. Jack Abbot, who offered to connect our grizzled hero with his therapist…. Nurse Dana Evans, still reeling from her assault, had not yet decided whether she was going to return to work the following week (if ever)…. Dr. Frank Langdon, at risk of losing his job, was staring down the barrel of rehab…. Dr. Heather Collins was at home with her phone off, presumably fast asleep and blissfully unaware of what went down at PittFest.
Dr. Cassie McKay avoided arrest, but still had to get her ankle monitor fixed…. Dr. Samira Mohan was struggling with work/life balance…. Dr. Melissa 'Mel' King, juggling the demands of residency and looking after her autistic sister, had just retrieved Becca from her care facility…. Dr. Trinity Santos invited med student Denis Whitaker to come live with her…. and fellow med student Victoria Javadi seemed unsure if she wanted to pursue a career in emergency medicine — or any career in medicine, for that matter — after a hellish day in the ED.
The Pitt Season 2 will pick up roughly nine-to-10 months after the events of Season 1.
'We're going to do Fourth of July weekend,' Gemmill previously told TVLine. 'Nine, basically 10 months later, gives a lot of room for us to have developed a few stories in the interim and catch up with everyone.'
The next 15-hour shift will mark Langdon's first day back at work after agreeing to go to rehab, and we'll 'get to catch up as he catches up' with everyone. That includes Dr. Robby, who will be 'getting himself mentally healthy again' in Season 2.
Gemmill also confirms that charge nurse Dana Evans isn't going anywhere — though that doesn't mean she didn't take some time off between the events of Seasons 1 and 2.
'I think if next season were to take place the next day or the next week, you wouldn't see Dana,' he said. 'I think she needs to take some time off to really talk to her husband, talk about what she wants out of life…. I think when she comes back, she's going to have a bit of an attitude adjustment, though. She'll be even less tolerant of bulls—t. She's going to be much more protective of her flock.'
The time jump will also facilitate changes in hospital hierarchy: 'Because it will be July, everyone has been promoted or graduated to the next level,' Gemmill pointed out. 'For instance, Whitaker will be an intern next year — so, finally, his character will be getting paid.' Javadi, meanwhile, 'is going to be doing a sub-internship, and we find out that maybe that's just her stalling because she doesn't want to make up her mind about where she wants to go.'
The Pitt Season 1 cast consisted of series regulars Noah Wyle (Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch), Tracy Ifeachor (Dr. Heather Collins), Patrick Ball (Dr. Frank Langdon), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Samira Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. Cassie McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. Melissa 'Mel' King), Isa Briones (Dr. Trinity Santos), Gerran Howell (med student Dennis Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (med student Victoria Javadi) and Katherine LaNasa (charge nurse Dana Evans).

According to Gemmill, you can expect to see all your favorites back in Season 2: 'Some people might be working different hours and different shifts, but it's pretty much the same crew.' He also confirmed that the show will 'introduce a couple of new characters, as well, because there are always new people coming in and out of the hospital, so that will give us some new dynamics.'
The Pitt Season 2 is on track to premiere in January 2026, just one year after the debut of Season 1. TVLine will update this page when a precise premiere date has been confirmed.

'The Boys' just dropped an unhinged video poking fun at 'The Bear,' 'The Last of Us,' 'House of the Dragon' and itself
"The Boys" season 5 is still filming and is tentatively projected for a 2026 release window. But in the meantime, "The Boys" season 4 is campaigning for Emmy nominations, and it's doing it in a way that is as delightfully demented as the twisted superhero show itself. Titled "Acting for Awards Season," this for your consideration (FYC) video is a parody of "Masterclass" that stars "award-winning" director Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne), who directed the Vought Studios films "Dawn of the Seven" and 'Training A-Train.' In the video, the (entirely fictional) director lays out his guide to dominating awards season and makes fun of several very real shows along the way. None of these shows are explicitly named, but you can pretty easily spot most of them. First up? "Mare of Easttown," and its "Philadelphia accents," which get attacked at the 0:36 mark. Then it's on to skewering "Bridgerton" and its prolific amount of promiscuous people, while possibly also going after "Shogun" and its use of seppuku. Of course, "Game of Thrones" wasn't going to escape Bourke's razor wit. "Dragons. Cheesy as hell," the director declared, clearly taking aim at "House of the Dragon." "But banging your sister on a dragon? Jackpot!" Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. From there, we go into a brief musing on whether or not the stars of "The Bear" are qualified to speak on political issues like immigration before giving praise to "The Last of Us" season 1 for being "one-eighth gay." This is, of course, a reference to the season 1 episode "Long Long Time," which is possibly the best episode of any show ever. If you've never seen it, or you don't believe me, go watch it on Max right now, then come back and tell me I'm wrong. You won't be able to because, like Bourke in this video, you'll be too busy choking back sobs, having just watched an absolute masterpiece. Finally, "The Boys" took aim at itself, declaring you should "never do a superhero TV show." Granted, it then couldn't resist a parting shot at "Friday Night Lights," but it was still nice to see a moment of self-deprecating humor amongst the deluge of potshots at other acclaimed shows. EMERY KNOWS |Early in the episode, Emery lets Joe know that he's very aware of the youngest Stabler brother's contact with Elliot. So he makes sure Joe is present when Emery has his thug kill a man who reneged on a deal. The unspoken message: Fear my wrath. On Emery's orders, Joe trashes the place afterward, but makes sure to leave a little clue for his brother before he goes. Det. McKenna is first on the scene and finds the foil-wrapped packet of drugs Joe placed at the scene. While McKenna doesn't know the ins and out of Joe's involvement, he knows enough to call Elliot to let him know what they found. The substance is something brand new, and when Det. Tanner gets wind that McKenna gave Stabler a heads-up, she wants to know why. Oh, and she also informs him that they're now working the case together. Stabler makes reference to his confidential informant being on the inside of whatever's going down, but when she presses him for more information, he's squirrelly. Eventually he lets her know that his CI is his brother, and I'm grateful for her very important reminder that THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA. Law & Order: SVU Season 27: Everything We Know So Far View List WHO'S USING WHOM? | Joe calls Elliot to give him a heads-up about a big drug deal that's about to go down, but after they get off the phone, we see that Emery is forcing Joe to feed his brother misinformation. There is, indeed, a drug operation at the address Joe gives Elliot. But when the New York Police Department rolls in to shut it all down, it's not quite the huge deal Joe implied. Tanner quickly realizes that Emery used them to take out his biggest competition in selling the new drug, and as much as Elliot doesn't want to admit it, it seems like his brother is playing him. 'COME HOME' | Meanwhile, Randall finds out that Joe called Elliot — thanks, Kathleen — and storms down to the office to yell that he's having premonitions that something bad is going to happen to their little brother. Elliot lets him know that Joe is back in town, and tasks him with telling Joe to call Elliot the next time he rings Bernie's cell. Randall does as instructed, which leads to Elliot and Joe having a rooftop meet-up. Joe gives El the location where Emery is going to seal a gigantic drug deal the next day. El gives Joe a medallion — likely the same one Bunny gave him in the season premiere, no? — and says that Bernie wanted him to have it. Joe desperately wants his mother to know he's clean, but Elliot reassures him that she never knew he was using heroin in the first place. They hug before they part, with Elliot telling his brother, 'Come home.' GOODBYE, JOE | Thing is, Joe lied to Elliot to keep the cops away from where the deal is actually going down, in a whole different borough. But ANOTHER thing is, Elliot is a lot smarter than his Guy Fieri-haired sibling. And when the cops creep in with a caravan of backup, Emery figures out that Joe's new medallion has a tracker on the back of it. An incensed Emery, Joe and Emery's thug make a run for it; Elliot is desperately searching the warehouse when he gets a call from Emery. The rich Brit, who has a gun on Joe, offers a deal: 'Remove the APB on me,' which will allow him to leave town unencumbered, 'or he dies.' Stabler stammers that he'll work on the situation, but as a helicopter circles overhead, it's too late. Emery hangs up, and Stabler hears a gunshot in the vicinity soon after. He runs to find Emery gone and Joe bleeding out from a gunshot wound to the chest. 'I mailed it,' the younger Stabler gasps, blood trickling from his lips, as Elliot pulls him close and begs him to stick around because 'Mama's been waiting for you.' But things are going downhill very quickly. 'Tell her I was clean,' Joe whispers, then he's gone. Elliot puts his face very close to his little brother's and sobs. 'LET'S GO FOR A RIDE' | Later, Stabler breaks down again when another officer asks if he moved the body. 'I held him,' Elliot barely gets out, crying as he looks down at Joe's blood on his hands. Tanner arrives and sits with him, telling him to go be with his family. We watch (but do not hear) as a montage shows him telling Randall and Kathleen. (But not Eli and Becky? Or BERNIE?) Then Stabler pulls his car into an alley where McKenna is waiting for him… with Emery's thug tied up in the trunk. 'I was going to book him, but then I heard about your brother. Billy Joel shares 1st message to fans since brain disorder diagnosis
Billy Joel is sharing a message with fans for the first time since revealing he was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called normal pressure hydrocephalus. Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin, the directors of Joel's new documentary, "Billy Joel: And So It Goes," passed along the 76-year-old's message at the film's world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Wednesday. "Getting old sucks, but it's still preferable to getting cremated," Joel's note to fans stated. Lacy added that Joel is determined to return and "will be back." The "Piano Man" singer-songwriter announced in late May that he would be canceling his scheduled concerts under doctor's orders as a result of his diagnosis. "This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance," his team said in a statement on Joel's Instagram page at the time. "Under his doctor's instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period." Normal pressure hydrocephalus is one of two types of hydrocephalus, an "abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid deep within the brain," according to the U.S. National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Cerebrospinal fluid is the fluid that lives in the ventricles, or cavities, of the brain that helps cushion the brain and the spinal cord. When the flow of CSF is somehow blocked and fluid builds up in the ventricles, it causes normal pressure hydrocephalus, according to the agency. The extra fluid in the brain can cause pressure and lead to brain damage, as well as issues with walking, bladder control and thinking and reasoning. The May announcement followed an earlier postponement of Joel's tour in March, which had initially been scheduled to resume in July. At the time, Joel said in a statement on social media that he had a medical condition and he was recovering from surgery, would undergo physical therapy and was expected to make a full recovery. "While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first," he said then. "I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding." The "Billy Joel: And So It Goes" documentary features never-before-seen footage of some of Joel's performances and offers fans a glimpse into the legendary artist's private life through home videos and more. The documentary will air later this summer on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
