Why Pamela Anderson Was Miley Cyrus's Role Model Growing Up
Miley Cyrus has always been anything but ordinary. When children often list their parents, doctors, of firefighters as the people that they look up to, Cyrus had a completely different concept of who she wanted to idolize, and looked none other than to Pamela Anderson for inspiration when she was older.
"Ever since I was little, it was only Pam when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up, I would say you," the former Disney Channel star said while in conversation with The Last Showgirl actress. "And the whole thing. The tattoos, the hair, all of it. That's all I wanted to do, I wanted to be a showgirl!' I love watching you evolve because it's been inspiring me so much."
Much like how Anderson has had a style and career rebirth in recent years, Cyrus said that she could also relate to being in different stages of her life. 'I've had so many different pivots and evolutions and—one might say—detours within my path,' the pop star, who sings "Beautiful That Way" in Anderson's latest movie, said. 'But it always ends up coming back around to make the next stage of who we are. Something that's more potent, something that's more real.'
Anderson explained that she sometimes wishes she could erase all the bad things from her life. When the Baywatch actress told this to a friend, he suggested that she take all the negative experiences in her life with her and use it to live authentically. Cyrus could relate, especially as she's had a few faux pas of her own.
'Funnily enough when I look back, all the mistakes, anything I was unsure of or I didn't understand, I am so proud of every moment and now every stage of my life,' Cyrus reflected. 'I would not go back and change anything. Except a couple things I was wearing!'

Miley Cyrus Wears Nude Mesh Schiaparelli Gown to 'Something Beautiful' Premiere
On Friday, Miley Cyrus attended the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new visual album, Something Beautiful, wearing a SS25 haute couture Schiaparelli gown by Daniel Roseberry. The net dress was in woven nude fabric and hung with crystal water drops that made the star shimmer as she arrived. The wide weaving revealed her nude bodysuit underneath. The gown's skirt ended in a dramatic fringe and she wore a matching fringe stole over the ensemble, allowing it to drape down from her arms. She accessorized with Schiaparelli's Anatomy Jewelry Bag and wore a pair of nude pointed-toe heels. Her hair was parted to the side and in her ears were a pair of dangling crystal drop earrings. Cyrus wore a second Schiaparelli look to the after-party from the fashion house's RTW FW25/26 collection, a bustier dress embroidered with golden and silver mirrors in an organic pattern. She was seen walking hand-in-hand with her boyfriend, Maxx Morando, carrying a black clutch and wearing gold pointed-toe heels. In a recent interview on the Every Single Album podcast, Cyrus talked about her former relationship with Liam Hemsworth, who she met in 2009. While talking about her 'Younger Now' era, Cyrus brought up Hemsworth and how she embraced 'innocence' in her image at that time as a way to reconnect with him in her personal life. 'When me and Liam split up the first time with 'Bangerz' because I was this provocateur, like, highly sexualized,' she shared. 'For 'Younger Now', the reason I kind of played into this innocence was because I think it was a way to keep—a way to stay—by being younger now and a less sexualized woman publicly, and this was a way to keep a happy home.' Cyrus and Hemsworth were off-and-on from 2010 to 2012, then got married in 2018. They filed for divorce before reaching one year of marriage. Hemsworth went on to date model Gabriella Brooks, while Cyrus connected with Morando.

They came in like a wrecking ball. Miley Cyrus, the Disney child star turned pop sensation, was heckled by fans at the world premiere of her 'Something Beautiful' long-form music video screening during the Tribeca Film Festival, footage of the awkward exchange showed. Getty Images for Tribeca Festival 'We thought this was a concert, we paid $800,' one person shouted at her during the Q&A segment that took place on stage after the film. 'Are you actually going to sing?' another person questioned. The festival promoted Friday's event as a 'one-of-a-kind pop opera featuring thirteen original new songs from the Something Beautiful album' with 'an exclusive conversation' with the three-time Grammy winner after the 55-minute project aired. However, some fans who purchased their tickets on resale websites accused the third-party ticketing platforms of misleading them. A user on X posted a screenshot from a Google search of the event, which read 'Miley Cyrus Tickets & 2025 Endless Summer Vacation Tour Dates — though the 'Used To Be Young' singer is not on tour and the 'Endless Summer Vacation' record came out in 2023. 'This is the link I clicked on to buy. Says concert tour dates not movie dates,' the fan alleged on X. 4 Some fans thought the event was going to be a live concert. Dia Dipasupil Other fans who allegedly bought resale tickets were stunned that the expensive event wasn't a concert and even left early out of frustration, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 'No one would've spent this much money if we had known,' an attendee told the outlet. 'She doesn't tour, she doesn't play live often.' As of May 27, resale tickets for the Upper Balcony on Vivid Seats started at $510 and became more expensive closer to the stage. The Post reached out to Vivid Seats for comment. 4 Cyrus released her ninth studio album 'Something Beautiful' on May 30. Ouzounova / The 'Flowers' hitmaker eventually gave in to the hecklers' requests and sang her hit 'The Climb' in a cappella fashion. Tickets to see the 'Hannah Montana' alum's visual album and conversation at the 2,600-seat venue were initially sold on Ticketmaster and titled 'Miley Cyrus World Premiere of Something Beautiful.' It was one of the rare opportunities fans had to see the 'Flowers' singer in person. 'I can't. Not only 'can't…' because can't is your capability, but my desire,' Cyrus told British Vogue in June 2023. 'Do I want to live my life for anyone else's pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?' 4 Cyrus started dating boyfriend Maxx Morando in 2021 after they were set up on a blind date. GC Images Cyrus added that she felt disconnected from her fans while on stage. 'Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn't really the thing that I love,' Cyrus shared. 'There's no connection. There's no safety.' The 'Party in the USA' singer's last big tour was for 'Bangerz' in 2014. Cyrus performed in over 70 shows on the 'Bangerz' tour and followed that up with her '2015 Milky Milky Milk Tour,' which consisted of only eight shows. On top of feeling 'isolated' while on the road, the 'We Can't Stop' vocalist has a medical issue impacting her performance abilities Cyrus claimed she has Reinke's edema, a disorder she described as an 'abuse of the vocal cords.' 'It's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on,' the star revealed during an interview with Apple Music.

Miley Cyrus Says She ‘Wasn't Allowed' to Perform ‘Hannah Montana' Songs After She ‘Left Disney': ‘Not Like I Wanted To'
Miley Cyrus had to leave 'Hannah Montana' behind after exiting the Disney Channel. In a recent conversation on Spotify's 'The Ringer' podcast, Cyrus said she 'wasn't allowed' to sing any of the original songs from her hit TV series 'Hannah Montana' after the show ended in 2011. 'It's not like I wanted to, I mean, performing 'The Best Of Both Worlds' between 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball,' wouldn't have really made sense.' 'It was still sad knowing those songs have my voice, my face, and I wasn't allowed to sing them,' she added. However, after Cyrus was named a Disney Legend at D23 2024, she was 'given permission to perform those songs in the future,' which Cyrus said was 'pretty cool.' 'Hannah Montana,' which followed a regular teen who lives a double life as the titular pop sensation, ran for 100 episodes from 2006-2011 on the Disney Channel. Other cast members included Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mitchel Musso and Moises Arias. The former child star's latest project is 'Something Beautiful,' a 55-minute visual album that hits theaters June 12. At the premiere, Cyrus paid tribute to all the female artists who inspired her work. 'I completely worship and idolize the Tina Turners, the Donna Summers, Diana Ross and so many ladies before me that paved this path that I'm on,' she said. 'This is my journey but they made it so much easier because they've already broken down all the doors for me.'
