Emmerdale reveals tragic Cain update in ITVX streaming release
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) continued to face Tracy Shankley's (Amy Walsh) angry wrath as a new week began in Emmerdale.
Last week, Cain discovered that his son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) had been murdered and understandably, he struggled to process the news.
Prior to his death, Nate had a fight with Cain over the rumour he was sleeping with Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb). He was then killed by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), but his family believed that he had gone to Shetland.
Cain eventually gave up on Nate, accepting that he no longer wanted anything to do with his family in the village and little girl Frankie. Of course, learning the truth about his son has made Cain feel utterly terrible – and matters have been made even worse due to Tracy accusing him of killing Nate.
John was questioned by the detective in tonight's episode, but it wasn't because he had been accused of murder. He managed to back up Cain's story from Nate's final day in the village, revealing he went to the hospital immediately after the barn fire to see Moira, who had been caught up in the ordeal. It added fuel to the theory that Cain was innocent but it wasn't enough to sway Tracy. Throughout the entire instalment, she remained convinced that Cain killed his own son.

That afternoon, John found Cain at the garage attempting to fix a bike. The beloved character broke down and admitted that it feels like he can't grieve for Nate because of Tracy and the constant police interference.
John asserted that the police would be off Cain's back soon, and then spied Frankie's playhouse in the garden of Tracy's.
An idea forming, John will soon plant Nate's phone in Frankie's playhouse. The police will search the premises and find the phone, therefore taking the heat off Cain and putting it onto Tracy instead.

Stephen Mulhern makes major TV mistake for first time in 10 years
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Stephen Mulhern looked mortified as he had an absolute howler on Catchphrase. The 48-year-old TV veteran has been on screen for almost two decades, and took over as the new host of the classic ITV gameshow when the revival launched in 2013. Even after over 10 years and more than 150 episodes under his belt, no one's perfect – and Stephen has proven that anything can happen in television. Over the weekend, he was fronting a celebrity special of the hit show – which sees contestants try and figure out a well-known idiom or phrase from a short animated video – featuring Jeremy Vine, Charlie Hedges and comedian Luke Kempner. The clip in question showed pastries with rapidly escalating price tags, which then burst through the roof of the coffee house. 'Literally, the prices have gone through the roof,' Stephen said, before quickly realising he'd given away the actual answer instead of just offering a helpful hint. Jeremy buzzed in and asked: 'Sorry, what? Was that the answer?' 'I have never in my life done that, in 10 years,' Stephen admitted, putting his head in his hands as the contestants and audience laughed. 'I was just thinking, 'This is a very tricky one, if it's not that,'' quipped Luke, before joking Stephen's own prize money total was up to £200. Jeremy added that the awkward moment was 'a bit of Catchphrase history'. Not surprisingly, viewers had a field day with some very tongue-in-cheek calls for Stephen – who reported to be among TV's richest stars late last year – to be 'sacked'. 'He really has to go for this. I can't see how he stays on,' @HarvesterStallo sarcastically wrote, while @stokeyjoey24 quipped: 'Embarrassing. Ben Shepard would never do anything like this.' And @utahisethan joked: 'ITV can confirm that Stephen Mulhern has been dismissed from his duties on Catchphrase and that Gary Lineker will take over until the end of the season.' Another viewer, @GavMack23, teased: 'Roy walker would never.' Catchphrase first aired in 1986 with Irish comedian Roy Walker at the helm, followed by Nick Weir in 2000 and Mark Curry two years later, before the show was axed. More Trending It returned a decade later with regular contestants, but from 2018 onwards the show has featured celebrities competing against each other to win £50,000 for their chosen charity. The programme was recently commissioned for an 11th series, and ITV commissioner Gemma John-Lewis said: 'We're delighted to announce a further series of the much loved family favourite, Celebrity Catchphrase. 'The only show where you say what you see, the hugely popular series continues to win legions of fans and with Stephen's infectious and playful humour it's a firm favourite with our viewers.' BBC EastEnders return spells trouble for major couple in early iPlayer release
This article contains spoilers for tomorrow's episode of EastEnders, which airs Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One or can be streamed now on iPlayer. Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) has returned to Albert Square, with a huge bombshell. As viewers of the soap know, the businessman has been taking some time away from the area to visit his son Xavier in recent weeks – and he clearly couldn't wait any longer to reveal some damning information about dad George (Colin Salmon). Things are already tense in The Queen Vic following the revelation that George helped his ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) with the relaunch of her boozer The Prince Albert. Her staff had walked out, and there was some serious redecorating to do, and so he paid for some hire staff to complete the tasks for her. His current spouse Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) had absolutely no idea of his kind gesture, and when she did find out, considered it to be the ultimate betrayal. As things began to thaw out in the most recently instalment, George apologises for going behind her back, while Elaine offered her own 'sorry' for kicking off at Cindy's re-opening bash. Things seemed to be going swimmingly, but they were blissfully unaware of the storm brewing. Junior swanned down Turpin Road, bumping into Cindy – who was clearly keen to kickstart their fling again. She asked him for lunch, but he had other places to be. Elaine prepared a touching gift for George to show her commitment, with the whole family gathering around to watch him unwrap. However, Junior presented his own nightmarish present. He revealed that, on Christmas night, his dad visited his mum Sabrina. This completely contradicts his previously established alibi of taking part in an illegal boxing match. An enraged Elaine ordered the family upstairs, where an argument escalated. George tried to explain his actions, saying that he needed to talk to someone who knew Junior better than anyone else in the wake of his affair with Cindy. Elaine began to understand, but then backtracked. If he was telling the truth, then why did he have blood on his shirt? More Trending George then blurted out that Sabrina had tried to kiss him, and when he rejected her, she slapped him and made his nose bleed. Elaine then began to think about how many people he got to lie for him in the aftermath – namely his brother Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) – who had no idea where he actually was. Trying to hold it together, Elaine ordered him to leave. He then sought advice from an unlikely source, with the encounter overseen by his scorned wife.
