Oasis fans from across the globe flock to Dublin for 'electric' weekend of concerts

One of Oasis' youngest potential fans stole the show outside their pop-up merchandise shop in Dublin on Friday.
Eight-week-old Ollie Marsh from Killiney in south Dublin was blissfully unaware as he sat in his pram with fans including his doting mother Nicole Richardson, who dressed him in a newly bought Oasis baby grow.
The pair were queuing to buy band paraphernalia ahead of the Gallagher's sold out show this weekend.
'I'm here with my sister Fiona and her daughter Charlie and my mother. We are all going to the concert and mum is babysitting,' said Nicole. 'I had Ollie eight weeks ago and couldn't resist getting him the outfit.
'We are huge fans, so we are really looking forward to it. We lost our dad a year ago and he would enjoy all of this,' she said, adding that their cousin Jemma McGee, who was also with them, had travelled all the way from Melbourne in Australia to join them in Croke Park.
'Oasis hadn't announced their Australian gigs when the reunion tour was unveiled at first so we just went online and got the first ones we could get,' Jemma said.

'My sister got tickets for Cardiff and Dublin. Croke Park falls on my birthday so here I am. I flew in on Thursday night I've had my curry chip and I'll have a few pints later. I am all set."
The atmosphere across Dublin has been described as 'electric' as the city gears up for the much-anticipated arrival of Oasis, who will perform two sell out shows at Croke Park.
Fans began flooding the city centre on Friday, having travelled from all over the world including south Korea and the US.
By 10am on Friday dozens of workers in hi vis vests were gathering at the various entrances of Croke Park preparing for their security plans for the weekend.
A short distance from the venue on Hill Street was a large mural of the brothers painted on the side of a building with the Adidas sign.
Pubs, clubs, and eateries all hung images of the famous siblings outside their venues, as they hope to pull diehard fans indoors ahead of what is expected to be a spectacular two-day event.
Liam and Noel's mother Peggy who was born in Co Mayo — where the brothers spent many of their summer holidays growing up — is expected to be among the crowd at their reunion gigs.
Oasis are due to play to 160,000 fans in what will be their first Irish shows since they played Slane Castle in summer 2009.

The Epic Museum has even got in on the act and has offered fans a chance to trace the Gallagher's Irish roots.
'Definitely Irish: The Oasis Tour', provides an exploration of Noel and Liam Gallagher's connections to Mayo and Meath, where their estranged father is from.
The band's pop-up shop at St Stephen's Green also added extra opening days following overwhelming demand.
The store was originally scheduled to operate from August 4 until August 17, coinciding with the second Oasis gig at Croke Park. It will now stay open until August 19.
It is offering official Oasis Live '25 merchandise, exclusive vinyl, adidas originals x Oasis collaborations, and more, and has quickly become a must-visit for fans.
Meanwhile couple Jiwon Park and Dong Holee from South Korea arrived in Dublin ahead of the shows on Friday after a 15-hour flight.
'We had no direct flights, so we transferred at Istanbul. We are staying here for two nights,' said Jiwon.

'From South Korea to Istanbul was 11 hours and then to Dublin maybe more than 4 hours.
'We went to London two years ago, so we wanted to look around Dublin and decided to get the Oasis tickets.
'We bought T-shirts, and we are really looking forward to seeing them.'
American tourists Sammelle Zane and her husband Kent Johnston travelled from Utah for the event because 'the European experience is so much better".
'We are fans years, they are from here, it is a wonderful place to see the show,' said Sammelle. While her husband Kent said he 'never thought we would get to see them again, we feel so lucky'.
Their friend Robert Arnau from California explained that he left his wife 'sleeping' after the long flight because 'I was too excited to go to bed'.
'We bought these tickets a year ago, we were shocked, we tried 13 websites in Britain and the two shows here in Dublin were the only ones I could get on, I was thousands behind in the queue, but Sammelle beat us to it.
'This is a magical city, and we will spend a week here in your magical country and we are really looking forward to it."

Watch: Peter Crouch legs it from TNT desk to catch Oasis in Dublin

The Premier League may have begun this weekend but all anyone can think about in Ireland is Oasis playing in Dublin tonight. The band continue their reunion tour in Croke Park as they are set to perform in front of two sold-out crowds this weekend in the first shows in Ireland since 2009. It's been the hottest ticket in town for a while now and it's been a much sought after one as no one wants to miss the Gallagher brothers reunite, including Premier League legend Peter Crouch. Peter Crouch. Pic: Neal Simpson/Sportsphoto/Allstar via Getty Images The ex-Liverpool man was on the job for TNT Sports as one of his former sides Aston Villa took on Newcastle United in both sides' opening game of the Premier League season. It wasn't a game to write home about as despite Ezri Konsa getting a straight red card for the Villains, neither side really had many chances in what was a drab 0-0 at Villa Park. It was still however a good point for Newcastle, who are still in the midst of the Alexander Isak transfer debacle as the Swede is looking to leave Tyneside for Liverpool. Pic: @footballontnt/ X After all the post-match festivites and interviews the TNT broadcast was coming towards an end when Peter Crouch started to look a bit nervy, especially when host Lynsey Hipgrave teased that they could go on for a but longer. Hipgrave said; 'That's about all we've got time for, oh actually sorry my producer is just telling me we have got a lot more time, he said we can carry on talking.' Crouch replied; 'Lynsey, you know I'm going to Oasis tonight, it's not happening.' Pic: @footballontnt/X Hipgrave questioned Crouch 'Where you going?' But Crouch had no time for any messing around, revealing he was heading to Dublin to see Oasis. 'I'm going to Oasis, I've got a flight to catch'

Irish teen, 16, tipped to be next Dolores O'Riordan after viral busking video with TikTok star ‘changed life forever'

AN Irish teenager is being hailed as having a voice like Dolores O'Riordan after a video of her singing in Leicester Square went viral. Dubliner Mathilde Mullins, 16, has become an online sensation after she duetted with YouTube star Luke Silva on the streets of London last month. 4 Mathilde Mullins and YouTube star Luke Silva Credit: Social Media Collect 4 Their version of Coldplay song The Scientist has 2.5million views on TikTok Credit: Social Media Collect 4 She is tipped to be the next Dolores O'Riordan Credit: Getty - Contributor Their version of Coldplay song The Scientist has an astounding 2.5million views on TikTok. Italian performer Luke — who has 2.1million followers on TikTok and 1.88million subscribers on YouTube — invites people to sing with him in the English capital. Mathilde told The Irish Sun: 'I knew Luke has millions of people watching his videos on YouTube and TikTok but I never thought I would be in one. 'That was until I went on a trip to London with my mum a few weeks ago. 'I heard music coming from Leicester Square and realised it was Luke performing one of his famous videos. 'I really wanted to talk to Luke about us duetting together. But I was nervous about asking him as he is such a big inspiration. However, my mum then told Luke that I was a great singer.' Although the DJ and vocalist had finished for the day, he asked Mathilde for her Instagram account, @mathildemullinsmusic, and promised to be in touch. She said: 'The next day I got a message from Luke saying, 'Hey Mathilde, I'm in Leicester Square today and will be singing around 3pm, will you make it?' 'I was like 'oh my god', Luke Silva just replied and he wants me to sing with him!' 'I was so excited replying back to him, saying 'Yes, I'll be there'. Luke then sent me this list of songs and asked me to pick three.' DREAM COME TRUE That afternoon Mathilde found herself side by side with Luke introducing herself to onlookers in the famous square featuring London's biggest movie screens. She said: 'Hi I'm Mathilde Mullins, I'm 16 years old and from Dublin' — before the pair of them launched into the famous Coldplay song The Scientist. Before long a huge crowd had gathered to watch the pair, drawn in by their enchanting singing. Mathilde said: 'It was like a dream come true. 'I could feel all the love around me from people watching and so many people coming up after complimenting me. One of them told me they found all the emotion in my voice very, very touching.' However, the vocalist had no idea that more plaudits were to come her way when Luke posted the edited video of them singing together, first on his YouTube channel and then on his massive TikTok account. So far the Coldplay cover has attracted a staggering 2.5million views on TikTok, boosting Mathilde's own TikTok account from a few hundred followers to nearly 6,000. Luke was wowed by the range of Mathilde's voice as along with the Coldplay cover she performed two other songs, Stay by Rihanna and All I Want by Kodaline. And asked about the reaction since, Mathilde said: 'A lot of people are comparing my voice to Dolores O'Riordan. They asked me would I cover Zombie by The Cranberries, so I posted that and we've had 31,000 views on TikTok. 'I can't wait to see what the future holds. Busking in London has changed my life forever. 'After we performed that day in Leicester Square, I remember Luke said to me, 'Wow Mathilde what a voice and a great range you have. Keep going, I know you'll go far and you are only 16.'" He also said, 'Never give up, you've got talent and your journey has just begun.'" And she's found similar success to Irish sensation Allie Sherlock, who also went viral on social media. Allie's success even led to one of her videos being shared by pop sensation Justin Bieber. The then 14-year-old student amassed a hug following since she started her singing career, garnering over two million subscribers on YouTube and over one million followers on Instagram. And now, Allie is performing at some of Ireland's most popular music festivals, including Kaleidoscope. She joined headliners including Texas, The Coronas and Ocean Colour Scene. Ireland's largest family-friendly music event, took place across from July 4-6 at Russborough House in Wicklow. And after her big performance, she shared a video on social media, saying: "One of my biggest performance ever Kaleidoscope." 4 Allie Sherlock found fame when she went viral on social media Credit: Instagram

Price of a pint of beer for Oasis at Croke Park confirmed

Oasis have arrived in Ireland to play two sold-out shows in front of what promises to be a buzzing Croke Park crowd. More than 80,000 'mad fer it' fans will attend each concert on Saturday and Sunday (August 16 and 17), which have been marked by the band's now traditional drone show above the venue ahead of this weekend's festivities. A pint of Guinness at Croke Park for the shows will cost punters €7.35, while a Rockshore pint will set you back €8. Cider is the same at €8 a pop, while a 187ml of red, white or rose wine costs €9. Drink prices at Croke Park So far, the reunion tour has broken an array of records, with its Wembley Stadium leg notching a particularly important gong. Oasis fans set a new record for England's national stadium by drinking an average of 250,000 pints across each of their five nights there. To do so, attendees parted with some serious cash, with a pint of Stella Artois at the venue bars setting customers back £7.85 (approximately €9.10) while a Magners Cider was priced at £7.75 (approximately €9). Elsewhere, at the more recent Murrayfield Stadium concerts, a pint of Heineken amounted to £7.85(approximately €9.10), with a half pint of the lager costing £4.30 (approximately €5). Amstel was a little cheaper, at £7.50 (approximately €8.70), and a full pint of Inch's cider cost the same. Heineken 0% was available, and at a slightly cheaper price of £6 (approximately €6.95), with a gluten-free lager option valued at £7 (approximately €8.10). Back in the brothers' home city of Manchester, during their Heaton Park gigs, pints of both Brooklyn Pilsner and Brothers Apple Cider set fans back £6.50 apiece (approximately €7.50), considerably cheaper than the first two comeback performances at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. There, a pint of Heineken cost £8.20 (approximately €9.50), as did a Dark Fruits, Strongbow or Murphy's.
