She added, 'A heartfelt thanks to the band and their amazing team for welcoming my family with warmth and kindness. It was all...fantastique'

Recently, Dion was seen enjoying the show as Coldplay performed on the latest stop at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for another night of their Music of the Spheres World Tour.
One photo shows the 'Power of Love' singer in a huddle with the band, while another captures her deep in conversation with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Other snaps in the post include her waving at members of the crowd and making a heart gesture with her hands after appearing on the concert's big circular screen, reported People.
The setlist included Coldplay classics such as 'Paradise,' 'Yellow,' and 'Clocks.'
Dion appeared to have been joined at the show by her three sons -- Rene-Charles, 24, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 14 -- whom she shared with her late husband, Rene Angelil, reported People.
Dion and Angelil's love story began in 1980 when a 12-year-old Dion auditioned for him. He became her manager, and their professional partnership lasted seven years before they started dating in 1987, when Dion was 19. At first, Dion kept their relationship private, worried about public opinion.'I was afraid of what people would think,' she told People in 1994.
The couple also revealed their relationship publicly after being engaged for several years. 'When I was at the age to be able to say to people [we were together] ... It was like bang! Love! Love always wins,' Dion wrote in her memoir. The two were married on December 17, 1994, in a lavish ceremony at Montreal's Notre-Dame Basilica, which was broadcast live in Canada.
In recent years, Dion has faced health challenges of her own. In December 2022, the singer shared her diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, which has impacted her career.
Earlier this month, Dion shared how her children have inspired her to fight stiff-person syndrome. She was diagnosed with the rare autoimmune and neurological disorder in August 2022, almost six years after Angelil died from throat cancer.
'I barely could walk at one point, and I was missing very much living. My kids started to notice. I was like, 'OK, they already lost a parent. I don't want them to be scared',' said Dion.
'I let them know, 'You lost your dad, [but] mom has a condition and it's different. I'm not going to die. It's something that I'm going to learn to live with,' reported People. (ANI)

Ricky Gervais calls the Toronto Islands one of his favourite places in the world as he enjoys off day in the city

Comedian Ricky Gervais is shown in Toronto in this image shared to social media on Aug. 12. (rickygervais/Instagram) Ricky Gervais appears to be making the most out of a trip to Toronto for a sold-out show at Scotiabank Arena later this week. The Toronto stop on Gervais's 'Mortality' tour isn't until Thursday night but the comedian took to social media on Tuesday to share an image of himself on a boat in Lake Ontario, noting that he had a few days off in the city and was headed to the Toronto Islands for the day. A few hours later, Gervais shared another picture from a nondescript pathway on the islands, calling it one of his 'favourite places in the world.' That image has since been liked more than 10,000 times on Instagram. Dozens of Torontonians also commented on the post, some of whom shared advice on what the comedian should check out while in the city. Another quipped that it was good he had arrived in Toronto two days early, as it may take him that long to get to the venue from his hotel due to the city's notorious traffic. Gervais last performed in Toronto back in 2023.

Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations,' Bublé shared with his millions of followers on Instagram about the Disney cruise experience, which departed from Vancouver. 'I'm not exaggerating when I say the staff, the food and all of our fellow passengers totally rocked,' he continued on July 29. The five-time Grammy Award winner and B.C. resident insisted the post wasn't an ad, but admitted that 'it sure does sound like one.' Bublé included photos of his wife, Luisana Lopilato, and four kids aboard the cruise ship, posing with staff and Disney characters, and whale watching. ' I just genuinely loved everything about it so much I had to give props where they were due ,' he said. 'We're already trying to figure out how to get back on that boat again! Thank you to everyone who we met, danced, ate, and hung with on our trip to Alaska.' This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. The rave review comes at a time when many Canadians are choosing not to travel to the United States due to ongoing trade tensions between the two countries. Bublé, who has often emphasized his love for Canada and its culture, has spoken out against U.S. President Donald Trump's repeated comments about making Canada his nation's 51st state. During his opening monologue at the 2025 Juno Awards, he said, 'We are the greatest nation on Earth. And we are not for sale.' The Disney Wonder designates the Canada Place cruise ship terminal in downtown Vancouver as its home port every spring through the end of summer for its Alaska itineraries. Country singer Dallas Smith winks at Trump's annexation threats with 51-date tour

Country singer Dallas Smith isn't looking to stir the political pot, but he admits it's no coincidence that his upcoming Canadian concert tour is booked for 51 dates. In a wink to U.S. President Donald Trump's threats of making Canada the 51st state, the British Columbia-born country singer and frontman of rock band Default says he's investing in his homeland with an acoustic tour that rolls through 51 communities starting this fall. We were close to that number and then we said let's just make that happen, he said with a laugh in a recent interview. It was important for me to come, especially at this time, [with] a lot of Canadian pride. I want to get out there, really go hard, and visit all these places that I haven't been and see the country. The Dallas Smith & His Band (Unplugged) tour will focus on places he's never toured before and is mostly booked in small theatre venues of several hundred to a thousand seats. Enlarge image (new window) Dallas Smith poses on the red carpet at the Canadian Country Music Awards in Calgary, Alta., Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022. Photo: The Canadian Press / Jeff McIntosh He starts in Fort St. John, B.C., on Oct. 3 and continues to less-travelled communities such as Kitimat, B.C., Enoch, M.B. and Wingham, Ont. By the time it's over, Smith will have wound through nine of the 10 provinces — skipping Newfoundland and Labrador and the territories — reaching his final stop in Belleville, Ont., on Dec. 14. Sporting a red-brimmed maple leaf baseball cap emblazoned with Canada, Smith explained the reasons behind making Canada his main focus for the rest of the year. There is a lot going on in the U.S. that goes against my upbringing and what I think is right, he said in a video chat from Nashville, where he was meeting with his management. So why not double down and spend the time in a place that I really want to enjoy and be around my people? 'Nooks and crannies' of Canada Few Canadian musicians take on the challenge of playing so many small markets. Life on the road can be mighty expensive once accounting for all the people required to carry a tour. With his band Default, Smith is more familiar with big venues, music festivals and major events, such as the Calgary Stampede, where he's roared through hits like Wasting My Time and Deny . LISTEN | Smith talks about switching to country (new window) He intends to revisit some of those older songs on this tour with stripped-back versions, while sharing stories of his upbringing, music career and newer solo tracks, including How Do You Miss Me and Drop . The concept is inspired by the MTV Unplugged sessions of the 1990s made famous by Nirvana and Alice In Chains. Smith said he's been throwing around the idea of exploring the nooks and crannies of Canada since before the COVID-19 pandemic, but the plan never took shape. More recently, alongside his management team, he mapped out a budget to make it happen, shedding the lavish perks and complex lighting rigs for something more modest — a single bus, trailer, full band and most of his regular crew. Together they'll work on a tight schedule that, at times, sees them booked for six consecutive nights in six different cities before they have a break. To make it happen, their stage setup will be minimal. We're gonna dial back and allow the beauty of these venues to kind of lead the way and be the backdrop, he added. Smith's approach might seem counter to the music industry trend of making shows bigger and more social media friendly — think towering digital screens and gimmicky celebrity appearances. But he said he's often rejected those pressures, and with this tour, he focused on making tickets affordable, within the $60 to $100 range, without impacting the live performance. I did not want to sacrifice how these songs would be played, Smith said. I love the guys in my band; they're like brothers to me. Playing these songs together, and paying them a full wage where they feel valued ... and balancing that with ticket price, it's a little tricky, but we landed in a good spot where everybody feels really happy.
