Man Utd new boy Matheus Cunha splashes £5m on luxury property as he buys Zlatan Ibrahimovic's old home
MAN United new boy Matheus Cunha has bought the former home of ex-Old Trafford superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Brazilian striker, who signed for the Red Devils last month, snapped up the luxury property for £5million. 3 3 3 Cunha, 26, is set to face Arsenal in the club's Premier League opener tomorrow, where he will wear the No 10 shirt once graced by Ibrahimovic. Cunha's new gaff in Hale, Gtr Manchester, has six bedrooms and six bathrooms and boasts a gym, bar, cinema, studio and pool room. United's £62.5million signing from Wolves will hope it is perfect place to settle in the North West with wife Gabriela, who recently gave birth to their second child. The Swede scored 29 goals in 53 games for United from 2016 to 2018, winning the Europa League, the EFL Cup and the Community Shield. Cunha was handed Ibrahimovic's old shirt number after its previous occupant Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona on a season-long loan. He and fellow new signings Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko are also set to play tomorrow at Old Trafford. Manager Ruben Amorim is looking to improve on last season which saw United finish in 15th place and lose in the Europa League final.

Jags WR/CB Travis Hunter misses practice with injury
August 15 - Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter is dealing with an upper-body injury and could miss Sunday's preseason game at New Orleans, coach Liam Coen said Friday. Hunter, the No. 2 overall pick who is playing both cornerback and wide receiver, did not practice Thursday and may sit out against the Saints as a precaution. Hunter won the 2024 Heisman Trophy while starring on both sides of the ball at Colorado, but this injury will no doubt restart the debate about how sustainable two-way play is at the NFL level. Jacksonville's most recent depth chart released on Tuesday has Hunter listed as a No. 1 receiver, along with Brian Thomas Jr. and Dyami Brown. He is listed on the second team at cornerback behind starters Tyson Campbell and Jourdan Lewis. Hunter, 22, caught both of his targets for 9 yards in the Jags' 31-25 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in last Saturday's preseason opener. He played 10 snaps on offense and eight on defense. Following Sunday's game at New Orleans, the Jaguars finish the preseason at Miami on Aug. 23. They kick off the regular season at home against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 7. --Field Level Media

Battlefield 6 players get free gift if they cause $1 trillion of damage in beta
EA has set Battlefield 6 players an explosive challenge in the open beta, depending on exactly how much property damage they cause. Battlefield 6's second open beta officially went live on Thursday, adding an additional map called Empire State and two new modes in Rush and Squad Deathmatch. The beta is set to run until Sunday, August 18 at 9am BST, and developer EA has leaned into the franchise's appetite for destruction via a new challenge for players. If players around the world manage to collectively cause $1 trillion worth of damage in the Battlefield 6 beta, everyone who participated will receive a Destruction weapon skin for the M60 machine gun when the full game launches on October 10, 2025. At the time of writing, the total amount of financial damage is just over $100 billion, a figure carried over from the first beta, so players have a lot to demolish over the next two days if they want to claim their prize. If you want to see how much you've individually contributed to the desecration of virtual architecture, EA has a way so players can see their specific 'destruction receipt' too. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. In order to access the results of your destruction, you first have to take part in some obligatory social engagement. You can find a breakdown of the steps below. Blow up stuff in the Battlefield 6 beta. Post a gameplay video of your destruction on X or Instagram with #BF6Receipts and @battlefield mentioned in the post. Within 24 hours, your receipt will be added to the online leaderboard here, where you can search for your username and find your total. So what's the best way to cause the most destruction? While you can rack up damage by hopping in vehicles and unloading at buildings, character class wise you're best to pick the Engineer, who comes with a rocket launcher and mines as side weapons. More Trending If you fancy seeing your player stats from the first open beta, you can check out those by entering your EA ID here. While the jury is out on whether Battlefield 6 will threaten Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7, the latter's release date is a whole month later according to a recent leak.
