Hollywood star Glen Powell spotted 'jumping' on Edinburgh street as tourist yells 'that's him'
Twisters star Glen Powell was captured filming scenes for sci-fi film Ghostwriter on Candlemaker Row in the capital
A Hollywood actor has been spotted filming in Edinburgh leaving locals and tourists feeling star struck.
Twisters star Glen Powell was captured filming scenes for sci-fi film Ghostwriter.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, the footage was filmed on Candlemaker Row in the capital after a number of streets across the capital were transformed into a film set.
The movie, which is due for release in 2026, is also set to feature Wednesday star Jenny Ortega, Sex Education's Emma Mackey and Pulp Fiction actor Samuel L. Jackson.
The clip shows Powell in a cream and green coat as he prepares to film the scene.
He starts to jump up and down before pacing up the street for the apparent scene. Blue lights are flashing above him and security guards are present too.
Pam, who witnessed the scene unfold, said: "When we travelled to Edinburgh we didn't expect to see a part of Hollywood. We were excited to see the beautiful cobblestone streets in the city and just stumbled across the set.
"We returned the next day to enjoy walking the same street, and we look forward to seeing it someday on film and knowing we were there."
Tourists were left shocked at the sight and couldn't believe their eyes. In the background of the video, one person said: "That is him, oh my gosh that is him. That is Glen Powell."
Another added: "I can't believe we just saw Glen Powell".

It's understood filming will be carrying on until Friday, June 13.

EastEnders' Elaine makes a reckless move that will cost her and Linda dearly
Elaine Peacock's (Harriet Thorpe) world is in turmoil in EastEnders next week, which results in her making a reckless move that could cost her and daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) dearly. Queen Vic co-owner Elaine left fans of the BBC soap stunned when she cheated on her husband George Knight (Colin Salmon) in shock scenes earlier this week. Elaine fell into the arms of a man named Stephen as her jealousy of George's connection to his ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) reached boiling point after he helped her out with The Albert relaunch. On Thursday, George was reeling after finding out about Elaine's betrayal, and with the future of their marriage up in the air, Elaine starts behaving erratically next week. Things start to get messy as she enjoys some drinks with Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), Mo Harris (Laila Morse), Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) and Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), and Elaine shocks Linda by declaring the prosecco is on the house all night. When Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) pops in for a drink, he notices how much Linda is struggling having to do the lion's share of the work at the Vic amid her mum's turmoil and steps in to help behind the bar. Later, a tipsy Elaine offers to book Priya a singles cruise, telling her that she can pay her back later. Linda is then horrified when she sees how her mum has taken £5k out of the business account to pay for it – but when she confronts Elaine, she shuts her down. The following morning, Elaine is viciously hungover and refuses to engage with Linda, who is still reeling at her decision to book Priya on the cruise. More info Believed to have been on the ill-fated Air India flight en route to the UK, British couple Fiongal and Jamie Greenlaw-Meek shared a heartfelt video before boarding. The spiritual wellness centre owners expressed their fondness for India mere hours prior to the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner's crash into a building in Ahmedabad, resulting in it being consumed by fire. Carrying 242 passengers, including 53 British citizens, the flight was destined for Gatwick airport. In their poignant final Instagram post before embarking on flight AI171, the couple radiated contentment, stating they were "going back happily, happily, happily calm." Fiongal remarked while at the airport: "We are at the airport just boarding. Goodbye India on a 10-hour flight back to London.", reports the Daily Record. In preceding videos, with his husband by his side, Fiongal recounted the astounding experiences and "treasures" they had acquired that would serve as mementos of their time in India. He reflected: "So it's our last night in India and we have had a magical experience really, there have been some quite mind-blowing things that have happened." Adding to the sentiment, Jamie recounted their adventures: "We really have been on quite a journey, and then just spending the last night here in this amazing hotel, and we have just had the most delicious Tali food. It was a perfect way to round up the trip. Excited to share it all with you". The Greenlaw-Meeks run The Wellness Foundry with locations in south London and Ramsgate, providing services like psychic readings, tarot, reiki, and yoga. Fiongal graced ITV's This Morning in January to share his insights on spirituality. Back in 2020, he delved into his "Celtic roots" during a magazine tell-all, with his father's Scottish lineage and his mother's Irish background coming to the fore. He shared his cultural affinity: "I think culturally there is so much magic in Ireland and Scotland." Since sparking their romance in 2019, the couple sealed their love with a vibrant Vegas wedding in 2022. Fresh heartache for Dee-Dee in Corrie as new Laila scenes leave her conflicted
Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) was recently stunned when she saw her brother James (Jason Callender) returning to Coronation Street – bringing baby Laila with him. Dee-Dee gave birth to Laila earlier this year. During the traumatic delivery she struggled to get the maternity unit staff to take her concerns seriously and eventually the baby had to have an emergency delivery. Dee-Dee almost died after losing a lot of blood and had to have a hysterectomy, meaning she can't have any more children. She'd already decided to give the baby up for adoption because she felt she couldn't cope with a baby who was the child of evil criminal Joel Deering (Calum Lill). Because James and his partner Danny were desperate to be parents, it seemed like the perfect solution to let them adopt the little girl who was named Laila. Due to various circumstances, James wasn't able to take Laila straight away, so she was cared for by the Bailey family. Dee-Dee couldn't help but start to grow attached to her daughter although she resisted this. She was therefore heartbroken when James finally took the baby back to America to live with him and Danny. Very soon he was back again, after he and Danny split up. Having nowhere else to go and needing help with Laila, James felt the only option was to return to his family. For Dee-Dee this has meant once again she's having to battle with her feelings as she has more contact with Laila. In upcoming scenes she offers to look after the baby so James can get some rest after a sleepless night. In tender scenes she can't help but smile at her little girl. More Trending Later, she has to take Laila for her vaccinations as James is away. Afterwards she tells Michael (Ryan Russell) that she found the whole experience very emotional. She's arranged to be interviewed by Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) on student radio about her experiences on the maternity ward and the wider issue of the racism that Black women often experience when giving birth. Feeling emotionally fragile, she confides in Daniel (Rob Mallard) that she's not sure she can go through with it. And when she and James argue over Laila, it seems that she's struggling to remain objective about the situation and she's finding it hard to deal with having her daughter close by every day.
