Marc Jacobs perfume that ‘smells wonderful' and is ‘always admired' is now £35
This summer has seen some amazing sales launched at some of our favourite beauty retailers, and one that we've been keeping a very close eye on (and shopping constantly) is LookFantastic's. Whilst it's been great for restocking some of our makeup and skincare faves, it's also been offering some brilliant deals on fragrances, with plenty of big brands slashed by 50%.
One deal not to be missed is the Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense Eau de Parfum, which has been slashed from £71 to £35.50 for a 30ml bottle. Whilst there's no word on how long the sale will last, it's a great opportunity to bag yourself your favourite fragrance or take a punt on a new scent without breaking the bank.
The perfume is a great scent for summer, full of zesty and floral notes that are guaranteed to feel like heading off on holiday every time you spray it. The top notes are roasted almonds, pink pepper and grapefruit zest for a spicy, fresh and earthy scent, before giving you floral heart notes of jasmine and daffodil.
It finishes with base notes of sesame oil, sandalwood and cashmere, which gives a rich, warm scent with a 'second skin finish'. The Perfect Intense Eau de Parfum was created to be both comforting and unconventional, and designed to inspire individuality and self-expression.
LookFantastic isn't the only retailer offering some great savings on fragrances. Sephora has slashed its perfumes by up to 40%, with offers on brands like Kayali, YSL and Prada.
If you love Marc Jacobs' perfumes and want to add some more to your collection, you can also get 50% off Daisy Glow Limited Edition Eau de Toilette at Debenhams, which has been slashed from £73 to £36.50 for a 50ml bottle. Alternatively, The Perfume Shop has deal stacked its 50ml bottle of Perfect Intense, taking it from £102 to £39.99 – just £4.50 more than buying the 30ml bottle at LookFantastic.
Shoppers have been praising the Perfect Intense Eau de Parfum over on LookFantastic, saying: 'Lovely product, smells wonderful and was delivered really quickly.'
A second agreed: 'Love this! This is a gorgeous perfume for day and night. The scent lasts a long time and my perfume is always admired by my friends and work colleagues.'
Some found the Perfect Intense Eau de Parfum didn't quite live up to its 'intense' name, with one saying: 'A heavier version of the Perfect perfume but I expected it to last a lot longer and while it is 'heavier' it's not necessarily stronger. Still very nice but I think I would just repurchase the original before getting this again.'
However others loved its longevity, writing: 'Really lovely bottle. Smell is nice but smells strong and lasts properly.'

'I've never used dry shampoo but I broke that rule for this pocket-sized powder alternative'
Shopping Writer Meghan has never used dry shampoo to avoid aerosol sprays and white casts left behind, but this powder alternative she found has 'been a game-changer between hair wash days' I know a lot of people who have relied on dry shampoo to get through that last stretch before hair wash day, but it's never been something I thought I'd use. I don't like using aerosol products if I can avoid it. I've seen the dreaded white powder left behind from popular drugstore dry shampoos, and my hair is so thin that anything remotely heavy just sits on top of it, making it plainly obvious there's product in my hair without doing the job properly. I thought I'd never use dry shampoo—until I tried this Hair Gain Peptide Puff Dry Shampoo, a powder alternative to aerosol products that is completely weightless and doesn't leave behind that white residue, even on my thin hair. And what's more, it's budget-friendly at £15 from Lookfantastic, Cult Beauty, or All Beauty. My new non-aerosol, volumising dry shampoo effortlessly absorbs grease and oil while caring for your hair and scalp in between washes, without leaving weird textures and smells behind. It comes in a pale pink, pocket-sized compact and is equipped with a padded puff dispenser for precise application at home and on the go, with no need to spray. Just tap, puff, and refresh - it's that simple and effective. I barely even noticed the fine powder coming out of the puff when applying it, it's that weightless and light on the hair. Retailing at £14.99, this powder dry shampoo adds volume, body, and texture to dull locks for a just-washed finish that isn't emphasized by white residue left behind. It instantly absorbs oil, sweat, and odour, boasting an advanced Peptide Complex with Biotin and Caffeine that works to nourish your hair and style it. I've found it's the perfect go-to for reviving a dull style or keeping my hair looking fresh out of the salon in the days between hair washes. Suitable for all hair types and gentle on the scalp, this non-aerosol dry shampoo comes in a small and convenient container, ideal for taking on the go, whether on a trip away or in your handbag for a long day. I've found it's especially useful for nights spent away when you don't have time to do your whole haircare routine the following day, as it's perfect for giving my hair a pick-me-up that makes me ready for whatever plans I have that day, without spending half an hour in the shower. But it isn't just me; plenty of shoppers are singing the praises of this powder alternative from Hair Gain, which was a finalist in the Pure Beauty Awards 2024. One 5-star reviewer remarks: "Amazing dry shampoo. This is the best dry shampoo I have ever used, I've tried tons of different sprays and they never actually worked whereas this little beauty really does!! It absorbs all grease and leaves hair soft and shiny, I can't recommend this enough if u have fine hair that normal dry shampoo doesn't work on." Another buyer beams: "Great product. I was offered the chance to try this before it was released and it was honestly game changing. Ive always wanted a dry shampoo isnt a spray. It smelled lovely, it was easy to apply and easy to throw in your bag as its travel sized. I was able to control where the powder is applied to tackle areas that needed a freshen up. Id use this again for sure." And the same sentiments are shared by this shopper who says: "Absolutely love this. I have always attempted to use aerosol dry shampoo and failed at every try, it just make my hair worse. I was sceptical with this one also but I was so surprised, it was absolutely brilliant. Very easy to apply and honestly lasted all day, I even used two days in a row as I was so busy, it was a lifesaver. The small bottle is deceiving a small amount goes a long way. 100% recommend." You can pick up my new go-to dry shampoo powder from Lookfantastic or Cult Beauty, where it sells for £15, or head to All Beauty, where (at the time of writing this) it's available for the discounted price of £11.45.

Another reviewer observed: "Each one of these four mini Versace perfumes are beautiful and a great price. A third noted a different opinion: "I have been wearing this for over a week now and am not really impressed with it. Usually a really good perfume will last all day. By evening this has worn off. I think it is way overpriced for what you get."

And scientists at the Norsar foundation — set up to detect earthquakes and nuclear explosions — noticed a clear increase in energy frequency of around two to three hertz, A source said yesterday: 'When tens of thousands of people move in synchrony in this way, the vibrations propagate through the ground and are registered as small but clear signals by seismometers. 'When about 40,000 fans jump at the same time, even an earthquake station can't help but dance a little.' It's not the first time Sheeran, 34, has caused earth tremors at a concert. In August 2023 fans were so excited when he brought local rapper Macklemore on stage at Lumen Field in Seattle they caused a minor earthquake. A month earlier energetic dancing by Taylor Swift fans at the same US venue registered seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake. At the time Prof Jackie Caplan-Auerbach, a geology professor at Western Washington University said: 'Ed Sheeran is not someone who I associate with rampant crazy crowd behaviour, 'However, he did bring Macklemore onstage. So here you have a local artist playing Can't Hold Us, which is a very jumpy song and a very high energy song, and the crowd responded appropriately, and it's definitively the strongest shaking we saw.' Ed Sheeran teams up with school pals AND 00s rock legend for epic performance Sheeran is one of the most successful singers of his generation and the third most followed artist globally on streaming platform Spotify. His 2017 hit Shape of You has been streamed 4.5billion times. Perfect, from the same year, has 3.5billion streams and 2014's Photograph just over three billion.
