DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Star Charlie Cox Talks Jessica Jones and Daredevil Dynamic and Calls Out a Defenders Plot Hole — GeekTyrant
Now that Daredevil: Born Again is back in the MCU spotlight, fans are excited about who's joining the party for Season 2 as Jessica Jones is officially back on the case.
After months of speculation, Krysten Ritter has been confirmed to reprise her role, and she's already been spotted on set with Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock. Naturally, fans have questions… and so does Cox.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Cox teased what it'll be like to see Daredevil and Jessica reunite on screen, and it sounds like we're in for a clash of personalities that could lead to some very fun friction. Cox said:
'There's a mutual respect for one another. She finds him overly serious and too much of a choir boy, and he finds her to be crass and making light of too many serious situations; she's more antihero than hero.'
That contrast is exactly what made their brief interactions in The Defenders pop, but Cox also flagged a little continuity issue that's been lingering since that miniseries wrapped:
'When did Jessica Jones find out that I'm not dead? At the end of Defenders, everyone assumes I'm dead.'
Fair question. Jessica is a damn good private investigator, so chances are she put two and two together once Daredevil resurfaced in Hell's Kitchen. But it's one of those funny MCU timeline quirks that might get hand-waved, or explained with a single throwaway line. It will be interesting to see how the writers bridge that gap.
As for what's next, Cox didn't give away too much, but he did open up about some concerns he had during production.
'Before production was halted because of the writers and actors strikes, Vincent and I had expressed concern that some of the ingredients that the show had found in the original iteration, that we felt were a key factor in its success, were being omitted. I didn't watch the show until it was out, partly because I was nervous about it.'
Even with some bumps along the way, Cox is still optimistic. 'There were some things that we shot that didn't make sense in the narrative. I'm in awe of what Dario achieved,' he added, referring to showrunner Dario Scardapane.
As for Ritter, she sounded pumped about her return during a recent Disney Upfronts appearance.
'It's so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders and now joining the MCU. I'm so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!'
We still don't know how many episodes Jessica will appear in or if other Defenders like Luke Cage or Iron Fist will pop up, but for now, the prospect of Matt and Jessica teaming up again and seeing more of their dynamic is more than enough to keep fans watching.

Apple Music Gets 3 New Features With iOS 26: WWDC 2025 Recap
Apple Music in iOS 26 Apple's latest iOS 26 update for iPhone brings a slew of changes to system apps. It makes the Photos app usable again and includes new features within Messages, Wallet, Maps, and more. But with the storm of information, one of the apps that could've gone under the radar during Apple's WWDC announcement is Apple Music. The Cupertino tech giant is supercharging Apple Music with new capabilities. To be specific, Apple is adding three new features to its Music app with iOS 26 and here's why they matter. This feature helps you understand the words in your favorite non-English tracks. If you're listening to Spanish country music or a French romantic song, you'll now see the lyrics translated in real time. It's built to make music more accessible and lyrics understandable, regardless of language barriers. The translations appear in a smaller font than the usual lyrics font. I installed the iOS 26 Developer Beta 1 to check if it also translates Hindi songs (Hindi being my primary language) to English. Thankfully, it doesn't. My Bollywood music retains its original lyrics while I can get Gasolina translated in real time. Apple Music's Lyrics Pronunciation does exactly what it says—it teaches you how to sing the lyrics correctly. I'm looking forward to understanding how it works so I can sing along to my favorite non-English and non-Hindi songs without butchering the chorus. Under Settings > Apps > Music, Apple now offers a Lyrics menu. You can choose whether lyrics or pronunciation appears larger when both are displayed. I haven't seen pronunciation in Music so far, but I expect it to roll out to more songs gradually. Automix in Apple Music on iOS 26 can turn your playlists into a DJ-like continuous listening experience. It lives under Settings > Apps > Music > Song Transitions, which replaces the Crossfade toggle. Using time stretching and beat matching, Apple Music now transitions between songs like a DJ would. It can theoretically remove silences between song transitions and deliver a clean, flowing vibe to your playlist. Automix is stated to transition songs 'at the perfect moment, based on analytics of the key and tempo of the music.' You can still find and toggle Crossfade just below Automix. All of these new Apple Music features will come to supported iPhones with the iOS 26 update.
