Inter Milan are still considering what their midfield will look like next season. The Nerazzurri have plenty of options in central areas. But there are doubts about how some of the players will fit into coach Cristian Chivu's new-look 3-4-2-1 formation. Furthermore, Inter have a number of midfielders over thirty years of age. Including Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Therefore, the Nerazzurri could certainly refresh with some younger signings in midfield. Inter Eyeing Up Inter Midfielder Santiago Hezze According to Kokkinos Protahthlis, Inter are targeting one midfielder from Olympiacos. 23-year-old midfielder Santiago Hezze has come to the end of his second season in Europe. He joined Greek giants Olympiakos in the summer of 2023 from Argentine club Huracan. Kokkinos Protahthlis report that Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti is particularly pushing for the deal. Inter see Hezze's versatility and athleticism as ideal. Furthermore, the player's age and low wages could also make him a viable target. They report that the Nerazzurri would be ready to listen to bids for the Frenchman. Inter Milan signed Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich two years ago. The World Cup winner arrived in the summer of 2023. And when Pavard came to Inter, the Frenchman had a transformative impact. The former Stuttgart defender seemed to be the missing piece in defense for Inter. He was one of the outstanding performers as Inter won the Serie A title in dominant fashion. However, last season things were a bit different. Pavard dealt with a couple notable injuries over the course of the campaign. And furthermore, he made some high profile errors. And in the meantime, this allowed German international defender Yann Bisseck to become ever more prominent in the Nerazzurri starting eleven. They have gone after the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu and Yann Sommer, to no avail. However, La Repubblica report, Galatasaray see Pavard as a big name addition who would fit into their plans. Therefore, the newspaper anticipate, the Turkish champions are ready to make Inter an offer. Then, it will remain to be seen whether the bid is sufficient to interest Inter. Or if it is another non-starter as with Galatasaray's pursuit of Calhanoglu and Sommer.
