Cristiano Ronaldo Proposes To GF; Former EXO's Huang Zitao Plans His Wedding Ceremony
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have taken their relationship to the next level with a long-awaited proposal. Meanwhile, former EXO member Huang Zitao (黄子韬) is planning a high-profile wedding ceremony with fellow artist Xu Yiyang (徐艺洋). Although the details of each event are different, both couples are entering meaningful new chapters. Their love stories have captured the attention of fans across the globe.
Starting with Ronaldo, he met his now fiancée back in 2016, and since then, they have been inseparable. Over the years, they've welcomed five children together. Yesterday, Georgina posted a photo on her Instagram, showing off a wedding ring with a diamond nearly half the size of her pinky. In her caption, she wrote, 'Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives'. The football world is now overjoyed by this momentous occasion.
She had reportedly been seen with the ring before. However, this post marks their official engagement announcement. Reportedly, Ronaldo had been waiting for the perfect moment to tie the knot after all these years. In a recent behind-the-scenes feature for Netflix's 'I Am Georgina', he spoke about the wedding. He said that no matter how long it takes, he is confident it will happen.
Moving on, Huang Zitao proposed to his girlfriend Xu Yiyang in August of last year. A few months later, in December, the couple shared photos of their official marriage certificates. Since then, they haven't released any updates about whether a ceremony has already taken place. At the same time, rumours have circulated about Xu Yiyang possibly being pregnant, though the couple has not addressed the speculation.
Recently, during an interview on the 'Dare or Not' variety show, the rapper confirmed they will hold a wedding ceremony this October. He mentioned plans for a large event with celebrity guests. To keep fans involved, they will invite up to 100 fans to attend in a reserved section. They may even livestream the celebration so more people can take part.
We give our congratulations to Ronaldo and Georgina, and wish a wonderful ceremony for Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang. As both couples move forward into these exciting new chapters of their lives, fans around the world are celebrating their love stories. Whether it's a dazzling proposal or a long-awaited wedding, their journeys remind us that even under the spotlight, genuine connection and commitment still shine the brightest.

Linda Chung on natural childbirth experience: 'I struggled to walk afterwards'
Hong Kong-based actress Linda Chung shares three children with Jeremy Leung, whom she married in 2015. Photo: Linda Chung/Instagram Canadian actress Linda Chung has been happily married to chiropractor Jeremy Leung since 2015, and the couple share three children – Kelly, eight, Jared, six, and Anika, two. In a recent interview on Hong Kong actress Carol Cheng's online programme, Chung said marriage and family had always been part of her dream since she was younger. 'But after entering the entertainment industry, that dream kept getting pushed back. At one point, I even thought I might never get married,' the 41-year-old said. Chung, who's based in Hong Kong, then recounted her first pregnancy, revealing that the biggest struggle was dealing with the hormonal changes in her body. 'Although I looked slim, some parts of my body became swollen and painful,' the former TVB star said. The actress went on to explain why she chose a natural delivery over a caesarean section. 'I wanted to experience what my mum went through when she gave birth to me,' she shared. Chung revealed that the recovery was grueling as she had torn badly, adding: 'I struggled to walk afterwards.' Still, enduring the physical pain of a natural delivery made her realise just how strong she was. For her second and third child, Chung took an even bolder step, opting for home births. Inspired after speaking with other parents, she thoroughly researched the process and adjusted her diet to prepare. Her efforts paid off in the end. 'No stitches were needed then. I could walk right away, and the wound healed well,' she said.

#SHOWBIZ: Madonna urges Pope Leo to visit Gaza, pleads for aid to starving children
NEW YORK CITY: Madonna has urged Pope Leo to make a humanitarian visit to Gaza to help save starving Palestinian children, warning that "there is no more time" to act. The American pop icon, who was raised Roman Catholic, made her appeal in an Instagram post on Aug 11, addressing the pontiff directly. "Most Holy Father, please go to Gaza and bring your light to the children before it's too late. As a mother, I cannot bear to watch their suffering. The children of the world belong to everyone. You are the only one of us who cannot be denied entry," she wrote. Madonna explained she turned to the pope because she believes political solutions alone cannot end the crisis. "Politics cannot affect change. Only consciousness can," she said. Her plea coincided with her son Rocco's birthday, which she used as an opportunity to highlight the plight of children in Gaza. "I feel the best gift I can give him as a mother is to ask everyone to do what they can to help save the innocent children caught in the crossfire," she added. The 65-year-old stressed she was not taking sides in the conflict. "I am not pointing fingers, placing blame, or taking sides. Everyone is suffering, including the mothers of the hostages. I pray they are released as well," she said. Pope Leo, who assumed the papacy in May, has been openly critical of Israel's military actions in Gaza and has repeatedly expressed concern for Palestinian civilians. The Vatican has not yet issued a response to Madonna's request, and it remains unclear whether Israel would grant the pope entry into Gaza. Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government has restricted access to the enclave, even to humanitarian aid groups and journalists. Other artistes who have spoken out about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza — where thousands face severe food shortages amid ongoing fighting — include U2 and Massive Attack.

New Lizzo song pokes at Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle jeans mess
Lizzo (left) hinted last week at being inspired by the scandal, when she previewed the new track as she sported an all-denim get-up, channeling Sydney Sweeney. Photos: TNS, American Eagle/Instagram Sydney Sweeney might be all buttoned up regarding her controversial American Eagle jeans/genes ad campaign, but Lizzo isn't ready to let the scandal die down just yet. For the rare few who missed the Internet's ire over the Euphoria star's jeans ads that launched late last month, many took the 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' slogan as a nod to Nazi-era eugenics. Grammy winner Lizzo, 37, shared a clip from the I'm Goin' In Till October music video on Wednesday, less than a week after American Eagle broke their silence on the denim mess. 'No kizzy, he ain't got no business being with me/ Fat a– pretty face with the t—s,' sings the Juice pop star, real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson. 'B—, I got good jeans like I'm Sydney.' Though some might assume the winking lyric should be spelled 'genes,' Lizzo hinted last week at being inspired by the scandal, when she previewed the new track as she sported an all-denim get-up, channeling 27-year-old Sweeney. The video, captioned 'Lizzo's got Good Jeans,' began with a pundit slamming the 'woke agenda' and the response to the Emmy nominee. It was a since-deleted commercial that courted controversy as the Anyone But You star tells consumers, genes, or jeans, are 'passed down from parents to offspring, determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour.' The blue-eyed, blonde bombshell — whose own look the Internet quickly equated to the Aryan aesthetic favoured by Adolf Hitler — then proclaims that her 'jeans are blue.' American Eagle insisted the campaign 'is and always was about the jeans' and that the retailer would 'continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.' Lizzo's tongue-in-cheek move comes two years after her own reputation took a hit in August 2023, when her former dancers filed a lawsuit accusing the body positive songstress of racial and sexual harassment and weight-shaming. A September 2023 lawsuit filed by Lizzo's former wardrobe assistant was dropped in December 2024. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
