DAY6 To Bring 10th Anniversary Tour To KL In January 2026
Korean pop band DAY6 (데이식스) is celebrating their 10th anniversary later this year with a special anniversary tour! Earlier today, the band announced they're bringing the celebration to a global level and will perform in Malaysia in 2026! On 5th August 2025 (Tuesday), the band announced the first batch of dates and stops for their 10th anniversary tour, 'The DECADE'. After kick-starting the tour in Seoul at the end of August, DAY6 will perform in several Asian cities, including Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. Their show in KL will take place on 31st January 2026 (Saturday) at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil. More details for the concert will be unveiled soon. This upcoming concert marks the second time DAY6 has brought their tour to Malaysia. The band last performed in KL in October 2024 at Mega Star Arena. The demand for the pop band was so high that organisers added a second show after tickets for the first one sold out. The two-day performance was a huge success, with many Malaysian MYDAYs hoping for the band to return as soon as possible. DAY6 will celebrate their 10th anniversary on 6th September 2025 (Saturday). To commemorate the milestone, the band will also release their 4th full-length album titled 'The DECADE' the day before their anniversary. As for their anniversary tour, fans can expect exciting performances of the songs from the new album, as well as DAY6's biggest hits, including 'You Were Beautiful' and 'Time of Our Life'. Dinesh Ratnam returns to iQIYI as senior MD for Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore
KUALA LUMPUR: Chinese streaming platform iQIYI has named Dinesh Ratnam as senior managing director for Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. In his new role, Dinesh will oversee operations in the three markets, focusing on growing subscribers, expanding local content, building partnerships and boosting audience engagement. This is a return to iQIYI for Dinesh, who previously helped launch and grow its presence in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei. He later became senior director for international business before leaving in 2023 to head Warner Music Group's Malaysia and Singapore operations. Dinesh said it feels like a true homecoming, noting iQIYI's significant growth over the years with its strong catalogue of Chinese dramas, Korean series, anime and local productions. "I'm excited to build on this momentum and tap into the immense creative potential of Southeast Asia. Hybe denies K-pop group BTS involvement ‘in any capacity' in Michael Jackson tribute album
SEOUL, Aug 5 — Hybe has denied that BTS is participating in a Michael Jackson tribute album, following reports that the K-pop group had recorded music at a studio in Ireland. The agency, the parent company of BTS' agency Big Hit Music, said in a statement today that the claims were false and that the group had not visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland. 'BTS has neither visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor taken part in any recording sessions at the location for the mentioned project,' said Hybe, adding, 'The group is not involved in the tribute album in any capacity.' 'We continue to take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of inaccurate information,' the agency clarified in the statement posted on social media platforms in both Korean and English. The report cited Paddy Dunning, owner of Grouse Lodge, who claimed BTS had visited the studio to re-record a previously unreleased song by Jackson. Jackson reportedly stayed at Grouse Lodge with his family in 2006 while working on an unreleased album; however, the project was never completed as he passed away in 2009. Dunning added that the tribute album, described as 'Jackson's next Thriller,' would feature about 10 songs written by Jackson's past collaborators, including Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew. He also claimed to have spoken with Michael Jackson's estate and received permission to release the song and a related documentary. However, according to Buzzing Pop, representatives from Michael Jackson's team stated in an email to the entertainment news outlet that any tribute album for the singer 'was not authorised by his estate.'
