Fiorentina set to sign Parma's Simon Sohm
FirenzeViola report that the deal has been finalised and Sohm was the main target for Fiorentina since June. The transfer will be done for a fee of €15 million this summer and the exchange of documents is expected to be done by the weekend.
After that, final agreements will take place and medical will be done. Friday evening has proved key in talks as an agreement was reached between Fiorentina and Parma.
It remains to be seen if Fiorentina sign another midfielder, with Nicolo Fagioli still at La Viola and Stefano Pioli considering the idea of using Sohm in an advanced role from next season onwards.
The Firenze club can still come forward for another forward, especially with Lucas Beltran on his way out amidst an offer from Flamengo which is being considered.

Report – Inter Milan To Sign Fifth Striker Even If Lookman Pursuit Falls Through
Inter Milan will reportedly sign a fifth striker this summer even in the event that their pursuit of Ademola Lookman falls through. This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. Inter Milan have been pushing to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman for several weeks. The Nerazzurri's pursuit of the Nigerian international has become the soap opera of the summer transfer window. There is still no certainty on whether Inter will manage to land Lookman's signature. However, the longer that the transfer saga drags out, the less likely it appears. Inter To Sign A Fifth Striker – Even If It's Not Ademola Lookman PARMA, ITALY – APRIL 05: Giuseppe Marotta of FC Internazionale during the Serie A match between Parma and FC Internazionale at Stadio Ennio Tardini on April 05, 2025 in Parma, Italy. (Photo by) According to Sky Sport Italia, even if Inter are unable to sign Lookman, they will still sign a forward. Right now, the Nerazzurri can call upon Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, as well as summer signing Ange-Yoan Bonny and youth academy graduate Francesco Pio Esposito. Meanwhile, Mehdi Taremi is expected to leave the club. According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter simply do not believe that four forwards enough. Attacking depth proved to be an Achilles' heel for Inter last season. Furthermore, new Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu wants to experiment with a 3-4-2-1 formation. Therefore, Inter will sign one more forward this summer. Lookman or no Lookman.

Report Catamo targeted by Como with opening 20m offer
Serie A big spenders Como are reportedly planning a €20m proposal for Sporting CP winger Geny Catamo, who is also linked with Fenerbahce. The 24-year-old is a Mozambique international winger who plays primarily on the right side, but can also work on the left. According to transfer pundit Ekrem Konur, Como are getting ready to make an opening offer that should be worth in the region of €20m. Catamo scored seven goals and provided five assists for his teammates in 48 competitive appearances for Sporting CP last season. He first moved to Portugal with the Sporting CP academy in 2019, although there were loan experiences at Amora FC, Vitoria Guimaraes and Maritimo. Como have been the biggest spenders in Serie A so far this summer, bringing in the likes of Jacobo Ramon, Nicolas Kuhn, Jesus Rodriguez, Martin Baturina and Jayden Addai.

Barcelona academy graduate's potential move to Italy hits a roadblock
Barcelona and Como took to the field last night in the Joan Gamper trophy clash and the game ended in a 5-0 win for Hansi Flick's side in what was a landslide result. Notably, however, the connection between the two clubs this summer spans far beyond the mere 90 minutes of football they engaged in last night. Currently building an exciting young team under the tutelage of former Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas, Como have been alert to the situation of all exit-linked Barcelona players. Inaki Pena has thus emerged as a player they retain an interest in. Falling apart While the Serie A side were touted to be a potential destination for Barcelona outcast Inaki Pena, SPORT relays in a recent report that the youngster is now far from the move that was highly speculated. Pena's move to Como likely to fall through. (Photo by) There have already been official contacts between the two clubs, but they stand significantly apart in terms of their terms, and an agreement is unlikely. The player, in fact, has begun studying the other options on his table at this point, and so have Como, who are determined to find a starting goalkeeper at the earliest. In fact, they are now being linked with ex-Barcelona and current PSG star Arnau Tenas. Given the urgency that the Italian side are in and the relatively massive demands from Barcelona, there is little scope for a change in the situation in Pena's case. Moreover, Barcelona do not wish to let him go until Joan Garcia is officially registered. Should the Como option fall apart, Pena will turn to the interest he has received from the likes of Celta Vigo and Sevilla. In such a case, however, it is likely he renews with Barcelona and leaves on loan with an option to buy.
