Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 certification reveals their battery capacities
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 in early July, and ahead of that the duo has undergone UL Demko certification in Denmark, which has revealed their battery capacities.
The Fold7 has two batteries, 2,126 mAh and 2,146 mAh rated capacities, respectively, making for a total of 4,272 mAh. This is likely to be marketed as 4,400 mAh typical capacity by Samsung, which means the Fold7's battery capacity will be unchanged from that of its predecessor.

The Flip7's cells are 1,189 mAh and 2,985 mAh, for a total of 4,174 mAh, which is probably going to be marketed as 4,300 mAh typical capacity. This would mark a 300 mAh increase compared to the Flip6, which isn't outstanding but it's still nice to have.
It's unclear why Samsung still refuses to up the Fold's battery capacity, which has been the exact same 4,400 mAh since the Fold3 launched in 2021 (and we should also mention that the Fold2's battery was actually 100 mAh larger at 4,500 mAh).
Anyway, speaking of things Samsung doesn't want to change, both the Fold7 and Flip7 will only support 25W wired charging, unchanged since the Flip4 in 2022 and the Galaxy Z Fold2 in 2020, respectively.

Samsung's big "Ultra" foldable tease had fans hoping for more — but is it just marketing buzz?
For a moment, it looked like Samsung was planning a major shake-up for its foldable lineup. A teaser from the company earlier this week promised an "Ultra" experience for its upcoming foldables, sparking buzz that a Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra might be in the pipeline. But according to a trusted source, that's not the Max Jambor, who has a solid track record with Samsung leaks, took to X to pour cold water on the rumors. "Funny that some think Samsung's teaser hints at a 'Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra'," he wrote. "That was clearly meant to stir hype." Funny that some think Samsung's teaser hints at a 'Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra'. That was clearly meant to stir hype — but there's no Ultra model, at least not this summer. The Z Fold7 itself will bring the 'Ultra' experience — Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) June 4, 2025 Jambor's post follows a full day of speculation fueled by Samsung's recent marketing language, which many interpreted as a sign of a new, possibly premium-tier model in the foldable family. That led some fans to believe the Z Fold 7 Ultra could join the lineup alongside the regular Fold and Flip models, mirroring the strategy Samsung uses with its Galaxy S if Jambor is correct, and he usually is, Samsung's next foldable flagship will remain a double-device release — a Fold and a Flip, as usual. That aligns with what we've seen from past Galaxy Z Fold launches, where only one main Fold model was introduced each year. Still, that doesn't rule out significant upgrades. The phrase "Ultra experience" may suggest Samsung is packing more high-end features into the standard Z Fold 7 , possibly to match the Galaxy S Ultra line in performance, camera capabilities, or display tech. Samsung has yet to officially announce the date of its next Galaxy Unpacked event, but early reports point to early July in New York City. That's when the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and potentially new wearables or tablets. Until then, fans will have to manage expectations. Based on current leaks, it looks like we're getting just one Galaxy Z Fold model, but one that might be "Ultra" in everything but name.

No, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra is not coming
Samsung teased its upcoming Galaxy Fold smartphone yesterday, with its press release using the word "Ultra" a few times. The Korean brand said that the "Ultra experience is ready to unfold" and that this device will offer "an Ultra-experience that goes beyond a simple list of upgraded features." This led many to believe that Samsung was referring to the Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra, but apparently, that's not the case. Tipster Max Jambor claims that what Samsung did "was clearly meant to stir hype," and there will be no Ultra foldable coming. At least not this summer. The "Fold7 itself will bring the 'Ultra' experience," said Jambor. That implies we'll only see three foldables from Samsung at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event - the Galaxy Z Fold7, the Galaxy Z Flip7, and the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. Samsung hasn't announced the date of the Unpacked event, but rumors claim it will take place in New York in early July. We should hear more about it and the foldable devices in the coming weeks.
