'Bachelor in Paradise' bartender Wells Adams reveals drink requests

New York Post12 hours ago
They're old-fashioned.
'Bachelor in Paradise' bartender Wells Adams revealed the drink requests he received from senior contestants competing on the show this season.
'They drink like old people drink, which is like, 'I need two fingers of Glenlivet. I need some Chablis mixed in with some Mylanta,'' he told The Post.
This is the first summer 'BiP' welcomed alums of the franchise's spinoffs for seniors, 'The Golden Bachelor' and 'The Golden Bachelorette,' ranging in age from 62 to 72 — and Adams, 41, raised a glass to their traditional taste.
'They drink like people should drink, which is like old school. I appreciate it,' he said.

'I made a couple of Manhattans, I made a couple martinis, I made a couple Old Fashioneds.'
Adams, a California native, made his Bachelor Nation debut in 2016, when he competed on JoJo Fletcher's season of 'The Bachelorette,' landing in eighth place. [Fletcher ended up marrying his fellow contestant, Aaron Rodgers' brother, Jordan.]
That same summer, he competed on 'Bachelor in Paradise' — where castoffs from 'The Bachelor' and 'The Bachelorette' mingle on the beach — and was asked to man its bar the following season, after the show's original bartender, Jorge Moreno, left.
4 Alums of 'The Golden Bachelor' and 'The Golden Bachelorette,' the spinoffs that feature senior citizens as contestants, joined 'Bachelor in Paradise' for the first time this summer.

He said the most popular drink in 'Paradise' amongst the 20- and 30-somethings was created by Moreno and kept the contestants — who were dating in the Costa Rican sun — cool as cucumbers.
'He had this drink called the Jorge Special . . . you cut up some cucumbers . . . then throw in some vodka, let the vodka infuse into the cucumbers, then throw in some ice, then it is soda water, splash of 7-Up or Sprite, and then garnish with a lime wedge,' he explained.
'It's so hot in 'Paradise' that that drink really, really is refreshing.'
4 'Paradise' host Jesse Palmer has started a tradition of drinking rum during the show's rose ceremonies.

Only one person has ordered beer in 'Paradise' — show host Jesse Palmer.
'I've only ever served four beers. They've all been to Jesse,' said Adams.
He gave the former Giants quarterback — who took over 'Bachelor' franchise hosting duties after Chris Harrison stepped down — credit for changing a longstanding bubbly tradition.
'I gotta give Jesse props. You know, for years you had to come and start a rose ceremony with a glass of champagne and this year he changed things up, and it was appropriate for where we were,' he noted.
'He came with a rocks glass full of really nice rum. And so, every rose ceremony, some producer would be like, 'Hey, Jesse needs his rum.''
4 Adams married Sarah Hyland, who developed a crush on him after seeing him on 'The Bachelorette.'

The reality star did end up meeting his wife, Sarah Hyland, through the ABC franchise, since the 'Modern Family' actress watched his season of 'The Bachelorette,' and tweeted about having a crush on him.
The couple married in 2022 and Adams always makes sure to keep up with his other half's drink of choice, which has changed over the years.
'I made her a spicy cranberry margarita, she really liked that. And then I got her on Old Fashioneds and she really liked those,' he said.
'And then she maneuvered into just wanting bourbon neat cause she's a badass. She likes gin martinis as well. But rosé is her go-to drink.'

An Epcot Guest Fell In The Water On Living With The Land, But It's What Happened Next That Has Us Furious

Walt Disney World is a place where they say anything can happen, and guests routinely prove that statement true by getting up to some of the wildest stuff that you can imagine. This includes one guest who was caught on video getting soaked on one of the rides where that isn't supposed to happen: Epcot's iconic Living with the Land. Living with the Land is a favorite attraction at Epcot for a lot of people. It is also a unique attraction in that the boat ride has no restraint system, and no on-board Cast Member, meaning riders have to be on their best behavior. Unfortunately, sometimes they are not, as guests showed in a TikTok that's gone viral, revealing somebody getting out of the water.

This 21-year-old NJ resident was crowned Leonardo DiCaprio doppelgänger

He's been crowned Dicaprio's doppelgänger. It was Leos galore in New Jersey on Saturday as lookalikes for a DiCaprio lookalike contest battled it out on stage for a $50 cash prize. Among the seven contestants from places like Philadelphia and Providence was Nick Fine, 21, who was eventually crowned the winner. The swarthy local confessed to The Post he was thrilled to be likened to the handsome Academy Award-winning heartthrob. Advertisement 'It's an absolute honor. I'm just very grateful I came to the pier this morning. I'm a big Leo fan, love his movies,' smiled Fine, who went on to name 'Shutter Island' as his favorite DiCaprio flick. The contest, which took place at Pier A Park in Hoboken and drew in a crowd of 40, was organized by a group of college friends. 3 Nick Fine of Hoboken won the Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike contest. Leonardo Munoz Advertisement Hoboken resident Colleen Flickinger, who works as a public relations specialist, concocted the idea to celebrate her pal Margaret Pfeifle's 25th birthday — a play on the fact that DiCaprio, 50, has a habit of dumping his girlfriends once they turn 25. 'Leonardo DiCaprio never dated anyone above 25, so for many, many years, that was the joke, so, when Margaret was turning 25, we just kind of were inspired by that, and we were like, 'How funny would it be if we had a look alike contest?'' Flickinger, also 25, explained. 'It was a complete joke. I printed out maybe 10 fliers, and then we posted it [on social media] and that's when it kind of took off.' 'Hopefully it's good for a laugh if nothing else,' Pfeifle, the birthday girl, added. Advertisement When only one contestant — who had seen it advertised on social media — showed up, the girls started recruiting potential contestants in the park. 3 Seven men competed for a $50 cash prize. Leonardo Munoz They ended up finding five Leo lookalikes. [The seventh contestant, who had also learned about it on social media, arrived later.] 'I'm kind of shocked how many people that look like Leonardo DiCaprio are walking around the park.' Flickinger said. Advertisement As fate would have it, Fine, who incidentally lives across from the park, happened to be strolling by with his friends. 'Actually a friend of mine was recruited, and then I got looped into it, and they said that they would cheer for me, so it all worked out, I guess. It is amazing,' he gushed. 'I was just eating breakfast like two seconds ago, I came out to the pier for a second.' Joining him in the competition were Michael Stewart, 47, a local retired iron worker, David Flanigan, 26, an underwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John Santos, 22, a jack-of-all trades from Providence, Rhode Island, and Eric Stylianidis, 22, a consultant who resides in the Big Apple. 3 Fine and David Flanigan, an underwriter from Philadelphia, shake hands. Leonardo Munoz Each contestant was asked to introduce themselves and were judged by the amount of applause they received. When it was Fine's turn, he simply stated, 'I'm Nick, I live across the street. Leo is an absolute man rocket.' Advertisement After the first round, it came down to two contestants, Fine and Flanigan. Then the crowd was asked to applaud again, and Fine was awarded the honor. Soon after he was named the victor, he revealed what he'd be doing with his $50 winnings. 'I'm gonna go get a few beers, probably within the next 30 minutes,' he said. Advertisement

‘Superman' flies into first place on its opening day, obliterating any competition

'Superman' didn't just fly — the film almost destroyed the competition. The movie was the superhero of Friday's box office with The Man of Steel rocketing to the top spot. On its opening day, it raked in a heroic $56.5 million, according to The Numbers. The Post called the film — 'entertaining,' and its star David Corenswet 'an instantly likable upgrade,' but said its director, James Gunn, 'goes overboard with silliness at times.' It had the second largest opening day in 2025 behind 'A Minecraft Movie,' and is slated to earn up to a total of $120 million this weekend. 3 'Superman' star David Corenswet graduated from Juilliard in 2016. ©Warner Bros/Courtesy Everett Collection 'Jurassic World Rebirth' came in second, taking in $11.37 million on Friday, its second in theaters. The prehistoric flick, the seventh installment in the 'Jurassic Park' franchise, had a reported production budget of $180 million. 3 'Jurassic World Rebirth' is Scarlett Johansson's first film in the 'Jurassic Park' franchise. ©Universal/Courtesy Everett Collection Landing in third place was 'F1: The Movie,' with sales of $3.7 million. The Brad Pitt-driven film has already become Apple's highest-grossing ever, dethroning 2023's 'Napoleon' by earning $293 million globally in just 10 days. 3 'F1: The Movie,' starring Brad Pitt as a Formula One driver, is Apple's highest grossing film. AP 'How to Train Your Dragon' moved down a spot to fourth, with $2.3 million in revenue on its fifth Friday in theaters. Disney and Pixar's 'Elio' also fell a notch to fifth, but still with a healthy $1.2 million-dollar take.
