H.H. Sheikh Mohammed highlights public-private partnership key to UAE's growth

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has credited the key partnership between the public and private sector for accelerating the country's development journey.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted Dubai's unique growth model, saying it is based on 'innovation, openness, and competitiveness,' while hosting a group of citizens, business leaders and officials in Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed that under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE continues to follow a development model rooted in investing in people, openness, innovation and strong community values.
He highlighted that Dubai's futuristic vision is built upon a competitive and sustainable economy driven by innovation and supported by investment in advanced technology and smart infrastructure.
He emphasised the importance of creating a flexible legislative environment that keeps pace with global economic shifts and meets the aspirations of investors and entrepreneurs.
"Excellence and leadership are not achieved by chance, but through hard work, long-term planning, and the firm belief that nothing is impossible when backed up by an unwavering ambition," Sheikh Mohammed stated.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Development, presented the 'Year of the Community' initiative, calling it a national movement to boost social cohesion, empower citizens and enhance public welfare.
She highlighted key initiatives such as 'Hewi Dubai' and the 'Community Development Fund', as well as partnerships that have led to employment for over 3,800 people.
She added that 842 public welfare organisations and 70 places of worship for non-Muslims reflect the UAE's inclusive values and stated that empowering communities is a sustainable, long-term strategy.

The ranking spotlights figures driving the most ambitious destinations, hotels, airlines, airports, and tourism initiatives, and reflects the sector's rapid momentum fuelled by government strategy, record investment, and bold Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, topped the list for the fourth consecutive year. Other prominent UAE-based leaders in the ranking include Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of Tourism at DCT – Abu Dhabi, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group; Mohamed Abdallah Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral; Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports; Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, Secretary-General Elect of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Antonoaldo Neves, Group Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Aviation Group, Elena Sorlini, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, and Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of UAE's dominance was followed by Saudi Arabia with 24 leaders on the list, Egypt with seven, Oman with five, and Jordan and Morocco with four each. Qatar and Bahrain each contributed three leaders, while Kuwait and Tunisia had one representative apiece—from Kuwait Airways and the Tunisian National Tourist Office, Middle East said it assessed candidates from both the public and private sectors based on organisational scale—measured by revenues, asset values, hotel keys, and passenger numbers—alongside professional achievements, experience, and overall impact on the year's list also spotlighted regional milestones, including Miral's announcement of the Middle East's first Disney theme park and resort on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, developed in partnership with The Walt Disney Company. The park will be the seventh Disney resort worldwide. Other entries reflected a focus on heritage preservation and eco-tourism, such as projects led by Saudi Arabia's Diriyah Company, Boutique Group, the Royal Commission for AlUla, and newcomer ENVI Lodges. 11 Aug 2025 23:56 ABU DHABI (WAM) His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Monday offered his sincere condolences to the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Ghana, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, over the victims of the recent military helicopter crash. In a phone call with his Ghanaian counterpart, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah expressed sympathy for the deaths of the Ministers of Defence, Environment, and Science and Technology, along with other senior officials, who were killed in a military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region.
