The dazed teenager takes time to adjust to the fact that she is in fact not dead and is told by Weems that she is her new spirit guide. She was stranded at the school without her psychic powers and had to rely on her wit and sharp detective skills in order to solve the age-old murders that she had stumbled upon. With the help of her chaotic and crazy uncle Fester, Ortega did begin to solve the murder mystery and stumbled upon Lois, who wasn't a person at all but an acronym for something dark and sinister.
