Coronation Street legend who was killed off signs up for Celebrity MasterChef
The former Waterloo Road actress will appear alongside Blue singer Antony Costa, Love Island beauty Uma Jammeh and RuPaul's Drag Race star Ginger Johnson when the hit BBC One show returns later this year.
31-year-old McGlynn played Sinead Tinker in the ITV soap and started getting into food after leaving the famous Wetherfield cobbles.
The actress also appeared on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.

According to reports, she jumped at the chance to show off her culinary skills when approached to take part earlier this year.
A TV source said: 'The celebrity version of Masterchef has already been filmed and there's a great mix of people this year, including Katie.
'She brings a bit of glamour as well as that northern sense of humour.
'Viewers are going to be really impressed with the standard this year.'
After leaving Corrie back in 2019, Katie admitted that she struggled with comfort eating following her character Sinead Tinker's harrowing death.
The following year she won the NTA for Serial Drama Performance and embarked on a health and fitness programme and started cooking meals from scratch.
The source added: 'Katie is all about making healthy, balanced meals and wanted to see how far she could push her cooking skills on a show like Masterchef.'

The Cumbrian food critic was announced by the BBC as Wallace's replacement in December after he was axed due to a series of complaints about his alleged behaviour.
Speaking to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on This Morning back in December, Grace confessed it was a "dream come true" to be asked to fill Wallace's shoes.
"It's one of those wonderful shows on British TV, and when you go out into the public, you feel that you can't eat anywhere in privacy ever again, you can't even go into a supermarket without people looking into your trolley and going, 'I can't believe she's bought that.'"

'If you watch back across a lot of the season, I guarantee you that my bench, Callum's bench, Laura's bench, and Ben's bench all look pretty similar, because the first thing we ran for were little containers that could have our spoons, have our salts, and have our butter,' he details. 'We were trying to recreate a professional environment in front of us to make ourselves a little bit more comfortable. There are things that you pick up only through experience, and when you spend as much time as we all have in professional kitchens, you kind of just fall into habits that you know work, and it gives you space and time to think, and you can adjust quicker and stay tidy.' TV presenter Jay Blades to appear in court charged with rape
TV presenter Jay Blades is due to appear in court charged with rape. West Mercia Police previously said the 55-year-old, who fronted primetime BBC show The Repair Shop, will face a first hearing at Telford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Blades faces two allegations of rape but will not be expected to enter pleas during his first appearance. The defendant, of Claverley in Shropshire, found fame on restoration programme The Repair Shop, which he started presenting in 2017. He stepped back from presenting the show last year. Blades also appeared on Celebrity Masterchef, Celebrity Bake Off and Comic Relief, as well as presenting the BBC's Money For Nothing until 2020.

We can officially add Russell T Davies to the list of creative people who've become irritated with fans wanting updates on a particular project they're inextricably linked to. Think George R.R. Martin and The Winds of Winter, or James Gunn and The Batman Part II. Now, the Doctor Who showrunner from 2005-2010 and again since 2023 would like you to stop asking him Doctor Who questions. No doubt those queries have only gotten more intense thanks to the utter lack of updates about the show's future. Ncuti Gatwa's run as the character ended when the Fifteenth Doctor regenerated—confusingly—at the end of May, and fans still have no idea what's coming next, if at all. 'There's nothing to report, nothing's happening. You'll know when you know, when we know. I don't know,' Davies said on the Pilot TV podcast this week (via Doctor Who TV). He also pointed out, 'Conversations are between the BBC and Disney. I don't work for either of them. I work for Bad Wolf, so I'm not part of those rooms. So I literally don't know. And even people I work with every day, so they couldn't know what's really going on. I'm going, 'I don't know.' I really don't know.' In another recent interview, this time with the Big Issue magazine (via Deadline), he brought up the fact that even though he's devoted a lot of his career to Doctor Who, that's not all he's done. 'I love Doctor Who, but I don't own it. It's not mine. So in the end, my heart will always be with the things that I own,' including shows he created himself like Queer as Folk. The magazine did ask him about the future of Doctor Who, because frankly, people are dying to know. He gave a one-word answer: 'Behave!'
