SoCal toddler found wandering barefoot on railroad tracks; parents arrested
Around 6 a.m. Sunday morning, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of the 2-year-old at L and Broadway streets. They found the child alone, wearing no shoes and roaming along the track, according to a release from the Sheriff's Department Colorado River station.
Authorities said that the child's parents, identified as Bradley Underwood, 48, and Sara Estrada, 30, then arrived at the scene. The railroad runs alongside the family's neighborhood, the department said.
The couple were intoxicated from a "central nervous system stimulant," authorities said. Evidence was gathered at the couple's home nearby, and they were both arrested on suspicion of child abuse and taken to the sheriff's Colorado River station jail. Underwood also faces a potential charge of violating post-release community supervision and was held with no bail. They both await court hearings, with Estrada's bail set at $50,000, authorities said.
The toddler was taken to the station, where Child and Family Services later assumed custody of her, the release said.

$30,000 of stolen Labubu dolls recovered from San Bernardino County home, police say
Nearly $30,000 worth of stolen Labubu dolls were recovered from a San Bernardino County home after they were taken in a burglary, police said on Monday. Investigators didn't say exactly when they dolls were taken, but said that they were recently investigating a warehouse burglary where suspects stole boxes containing the "highly sought-after Labubu collectible figurines," according to a news release from the Chino Police Department. "These items, popular in pop culture and often sold for high prices online, were taken in multiple trips over several days," police said. While investigating the theft, police served a search warrant at a home in Upland, where they found 14 boxes of stolen merchandise. They also recovered evidence indicating that the items were being prepared for resale across the country. One suspect, who tried to flee from police, was arrested at the scene. They have not yet been identified. Police said that the dolls were returned to their rightful owners. Last week, authorities in La Puente, which is about 25 miles from Upland, were looking into a similar theft of Labubu dolls from One Stop Sales, a novelty store in the 600 block of Glendora Avenue. In that case, thousands of dollars worth of the collectibles were also taken. Days after the theft, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies helped recover some of the stolen items. Investigators did not reveal if the two incidents are connected. Labubus dolls are characters created by the artist Kasing Lung from his "The Monsters" book series. They have become especially popular in recent months as plush dolls.

5 Carmel teens arrested in connection with Aug. 9 shooting that left man hospitalized
Five teens have been arrested in connection with a Carmel shooting that left a man injured. About 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 9, police were called to the 1100 block of Golfview Drive after a man was shot. He was taken to a hospital, but the shooter had fled. The arrests were made less than 24 hours later, the Carmel Police Department announced. All five teens are Carmel residents. Man found in sewer drain after large search forces shelter-in-place in Montgomery County
An 18-year-old Kentucky man was arrested Monday morning after being found in a sewer drain during a large search in southern Montgomery County. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said late Monday morning that she was taken into custody and was treated for injuries. Both Walker and the female, who is believed to be a juvenile, had been reported missing from Kentucky. During a search for Walker, a shelter-in-place advisory was issued for the area after police found ammunition and firearms in the stolen vehicle. Officers also learned he had reportedly been involved in recent armed robberies. WKYT, a CBS affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky, confirmed with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in Kentucky that Walker broke into a home in the county overnight.
