Agent: ‘Only a few can afford' Donnarumma

Gianluigi Donnarumma's agent, Enzo Raiola, says 'only a few' can afford the Italy captain, and that rumours of a move to Napoli are 'pure fantasy.'
Donnarumma returned to Coverciano on Monday to begin preparation for the World Cup qualifiers.

'We hope Italy won't miss the next edition,' his agent Enzo Raiola told Radio CRC via Calciomercato.com.
'We don't deserve to be left out of the World Cup three times in a row. Hopefully, this will be the right one.'
Donnarumma has just won the Champions League with PSG, lifting the cup with the big ears for the first time in his career.
'Fans in Paris always loved Gigio, but the criticism comes more from Italy,' said Raiola.
'In the last Champions League matches, he was truly decisive.'

''We did it, ' and he hugged me,' Raiola revealed.
'I believed in him and told him so from the very beginning. It was his dream to reach the top of Europe, and he made it. Few words, but they say everything.'
There has been speculation that Donnarumma could be set for a move to Napoli also because he's from Castellammare, a town in the Metropolitan City of Naples.
'His mother is a huge Napoli fan, and she gets anxious watching their games. Gigio is connected to that,' Donnarumma's agent admitted.
'He grew up as a Milan supporter, watching his older brothers in a Rossoneri shirt, but he never denied his roots. In fact, his first stop during the holidays is always Castellammare.'

However, he has never been in talks with the new Serie A winners.

'It's pure fantasy. I've an excellent relationship with Director Giovanni Manna, but we've never discussed Gigio.
Lastly, Raiola confirmed his client has already received several offers.
'It's an obvious question; many would like him, but only a few can afford him. He feels good in Paris, we're at the European champion club, so we have no complaints.
'We are working on a renewal [with PSG].'
Donnarumma kept 12 clean sheets in 40 PSG appearances this season, conceding 39 goals.

Napoli complete Miguel Gutierrez transfer from Girona

Napoli have completed the signing of Miguel Gutierrez from Girona. The Athletic reported in July that Gutierrez had decided that he wants to leave Girona this summer after three years at the club, with a deal processed for €18million (plus a potential further €2m in bonuses), with clubs from England, Italy and Spain interested. Advertisement Real Madrid owned 50 per cent of the 24-year-old left-back's rights as part of the transfer agreement that brought Gutierrez to Girona in 2022, with the Spanish capital club due to receive half of this transfer fee. Before making the move, Gutierrez decided to change representation to agent Manolo Garcia Quilon, who represents Theo Hernandez and Lucas Hernandez, among others. Gutierrez, who was part of Madrid's UEFA Youth League-winning in 2019-20, made 10 first-team appearances for the Spanish capital club but was behind first-choice left-back Ferland Mendy, preceeding his switch to Girona — where he has scored six goals in 111 matches. Jamie Vardy to Napoli?! Ex-Leicester star eyed as next Premier League hero to join Kevin De Bruyne and Scott McTominay as Antonio Conte seeks Romelu Lukaku replacement

Napoli interested in Leicester legend Vardy Seen as short-term solution to Lukaku injury Speculation sparked by social media posts from his wife Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? Napoli has been dealt a major blow after their striker, Lukaku, was ruled out for three months with a thigh injury. This sudden development has forced the club back into the transfer market. As a free agent after his glittering 12-year career at Leicester, Vardy has now emerged as a surprise target for the Italian club, according to Daily Mail. His impressive track record of winning the Premier League and scoring 200 goals, combined with his renowned professionalism and fitness, makes him an attractive option for Napoli. THE BIGGER PICTURE Napoli's pursuit of Vardy is a pragmatic move to address an immediate crisis. While the club had previously explored more expensive and high-profile options like Rasmus Hojlund and Darwin Nunez, Vardy represents a different approach. He is a proven, battle-tested striker who would command a much lower salary and no transfer fee, making him a perfect fit for a short-term solution. This potential signing would allow Napoli to remain competitive while Lukaku recovers without committing to a long-term, expensive investment. DID YOU KNOW? The speculation around Vardy's future has been a rollercoaster, largely thanks to his wife, Rebekah. A recent family holiday to Italy sparked rumors about a move to Napoli, and a playful social media post of her children wearing Inter Miami kits set the internet ablaze with talk of a move to the MLS. However, this particular rumour has been decisively shut down by sources close to Miami, who stated there was "absolutely no way" he would be joining the club. Celtic, Rangers and Everton have all shown interest in securing his services this summer. WHAT NEXT FOR NAPOLI? While Vardy is a prime candidate, Napoli are also reportedly considering other targets, such as Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea. The next few weeks will be crucial for the club as they look to finalise a deal before the transfer window closes.
