British couple on Air India flight named
Fiongal and Jamie Greenlaw-Meek, who run a spiritual wellness centre and yoga studio, spoke of their love of India and the 'mind-blowing' experiences they had had just hours before the flight took off.
Just after leaving the airport, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was engulfed in a huge fireball after plummeting into a building in the suburb of Ahmedabad, the largest city in Gujarat state.
The flight, with 242 people, including 53 British nationals, on board was en route to Gatwick airport. Eleven children were among the passengers.
On Tuesday, the Greenlaw-Meeks had posted on their social media accounts from their boutique hotel in the city, The House of MG, about how they planned to create a vlog documenting their time in the city and were excited to tell people about the details.

Sitting beside his husband, Fiongal said: 'So it's our last night in India and we have had a magical experience, really – there have been some quite mind-blowing things that have happened.'
Jamie said: 'We really have been on quite a journey, and then just spending the last night here in this amazing hotel, and we have just had the most delicious Tali food. It was a perfect way to round up the trip. Excited to share it all with you'.
Other videos show Fiongal discussing how they were 'feeling very, very, very happy' and showing off the 'treasures' that they had bought before a final video showed them in the airport as the plane was boarding.

The couple run The Wellness Foundry in south London and Ramsgate, Kent, which offers psychic readings, tarot, Reiki and yoga.
It has collaborated with brands including Dior, Google, and Netflix, according to its website, and was due to offer readings at Ramsgate's Pride march on Saturday.
In January, Fiongal appeared on ITV's This Morning to talk about people's auras and what they mean.
The couple's Wellness Foundry described it on Instagram as their 'biggest gig so far', adding that it was 'very nerve-wracking' but that Fiongal was 'honoured to chat about one of his favourite topics to such a big audience'.
The couple documented their professional and personal lives on social media, advertising 'psychic development' and spiritual retreats in the UK and Spain.
They have been together since 2019, getting married in various ceremonies, including one in Las Vegas, in 2022.
Jamie posted a series of pictures of their wedding day at Mill Farm in Gamlingay, Cambs, on Facebook, adding that they had made 'so many wonderful memories and fun to last a lifetime'.
He added: 'Thank you to my wonderful husband for keeping me calm in times of stress (sunshine after the rain)... My heart is so full of love and gratitude…'
Jamie has previously spoken about how he developed a passion for wellness and health when his late father was diagnosed with cancer.

Passengers find cockroaches on recent Air India flight
A recent Air India flight had some unexpected passengers onboard: cockroaches. "On flight AI180 from San Francisco to Mumbai via Kolkata, two passengers were unfortunately bothered by the presence of a few small cockroaches on board," a spokesperson for the airline told USA TODAY in a statement. They notified a crew member who relocated them to different seats, where they were "comfortable thereafter," the airline continued. During the scheduled fuel stop at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, the aircraft was deep cleaned by the ground crew to address the issue and continued its journey to Mumbai as scheduled. "Despite our regular fumigation efforts, insects can sometimes enter an aircraft during ground operations," the airline added. "Air India will be undertaking a comprehensive investigation to determine the source and the cause of this incident and implement measures to prevent recurrence. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to the passengers." This isn't the first time a cockroach has made an appearance on an Air India flight. In 2019, a passenger said he found a dead bug in the in-flight meal he was served. Earlier this summer, a TikTok went viral after a Spirit Airlines passenger shared her experience of finding cockroaches crawling around on the bulkhead near her seat. She said she told the flight attendants, who didn't help, and the airline ended up offering her a voucher.

The buyer is a trust tied to billionaire retail magnate Les Wexner, the longtime head of L Brands and founder of Victoria's Secret, according to the Real Deal. Known as Blue Heron Farm, the 28.5-acre Chilmark property had been off the market for more than a decade, following an extensive transformation under its previous owners, British architect Norman Foster and his wife, Elena Ochoa Foster. 9 The Martha's Vineyard estate once rented by Barack and Michelle Obama as their summer retreat has sold for $37 million. But for the Obamas, its draw was more emotional. In a previous statement, Dougherty and Gold Seelig explained, the family initially chose the property 'for its incredible privacy, serenity and significance.'

Major hotel chain faces backlash for allegedly outsourcing check-ins — to India
A Miami hotel is facing backlash over a viral video that claims the front desk was staffed by an outsourced worker to welcome new guests during the check-in process. In the video, a guest who booked a stay at a La Quinta by Wyndham was welcomed by a tall screen displaying a virtual front-desk employee — who allegedly was in India. 'Do you need one room key or two room key?' the worker can be heard asking in the video, which has more than 2 million views since being posted on Saturday. The guest replies: 'Two, just in case I lose one.' The hotel customer then signs a form on the screen using their finger. 3 A traveler staying at a La Quinta by Wyndham hotel was allegedly checked in by an outsourced, virtual worker. @languageguy1/Instagram The interaction led social media users to slam the hotel chain for outsourcing jobs to overseas workers. 'More American jobs outsourced overseas. At some point this should just become illegal. If you make money in America, you should hire Americans,' one user wrote in a post on X. Another sniped: 'What hotel, so I can be sure to avoid it?' Some frustrated users even called on President Trump to target the practice by slapping tariffs on US-based companies that outsource jobs to overseas staffers. Wyndham does offer mobile check-in for some guests, according to its website. A video posted to YouTube in February appears to show the same large tablet screen being used by an outsourced worker in a Wyndham hotel in Bonita Springs, Fla. 3 Outraged social media users were quick to slam the hotel chain on social media. @languageguy1/Instagram 'I checked into a hotel by talking to a man on a screen in the entryway. I scanned my ID, swiped my credit card, and the machine provided me a key,' the user who posted the video wrote in the caption. Another social media user said they had a similar experience with a virtual front-desk employee at a hotel in Dublin. 'Honestly, it was a lot quicker than dealing with front desk staff, and it prints out your keycard,' the hotel guest wrote in a post online. Meanwhile, a hotel in Amsterdam allegedly used a fully-automated check-in process, where guests fill out a form on an iPad, take a key card from a pile and tap it on a reader to activate it, according to another user on X. 'There's really no reason for these jobs at all in today's age,' they added.
