Why Dak Prescott may be a mid-round fantasy steal
Yahoo Fantasy analyst Matt Harmon and Establish the Run's John Daigle explain why the Dallas signal caller is primed to be a top-10 fantasy quarterback in 2025. Hear the full conversation on the 'Yahoo Fantasy Forecast' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript Just real quick, Dak Prescott, um, this is another situation that, man, every time I look at this Dallas Cowboys passing offense, I get more and more excited. Um, the running back room is not inspiring. The offensive line could be pretty good in the interior. I'm all in on George Pickens and C.D. Lamb. Dak Prescott, somebody you're comfortable with is a QB1 or, or, or no? Absolutely. Someone who also bakes into my plans at quarterback if I miss out on Jalen Hurts. And it's because Dak is practically the opposite of Baker Mayfield, Pizzaro Baker, and finishing a career low in touchdown rate in points per game. Remember, if we strip away 2024, back in 2023, not long ago, Dak was the QB5 in weekly points and 2nd in MVP voting behind Lamar Jackson. He was that good. And now we're giving him his 2nd best receiver. I'll argue in his career. If someone wants to put Amari Cooper at the end of his prime or rookie or Michael Gallup next to George Pickens, I'll listen, but George Pickens is getting. With at least the best quarterback of his career is going to open up everyone, C.D. Lamb included. So I'm someone who drafts C.D. Lamb over Justin Jefferson comfortably when I'm looking at wide receiver, and I also look at the range that George Pickens is going and make sure I put him at the top of that tier because I want this entire offense that Prescott included.
