Oasis fans issued urgent warning as reunion tour kicks off in Cardiff

In a matter of hours, Oasis will officially return for their first gig in 16 years – but fans need to be careful.
The first reunion gig on the Oasis Live '25 tour gets underway this evening as Liam and Noel Gallagher play their first show together since 2009, and it's no surprise that people are still on the lookout for last minute tickets.
Not surprisingly, shows for the UK and Ireland run – which includes dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin – sold out almost instantly lat summer.
Even today, fans are still being offered 'last-minute ticket deals', but if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
On Friday's episode of Lorraine, host Ranvir Singh warned fans about 'last-minute ticket deals that are not deals, they're just scams'.
Financial journalist Claer Barrett said: 'The message to get across is that social media and ticket sales are not a good look.
'There's lots of scams going on, the banks are all warning people to be wary of bot accounts on social media that don't have many followers but are following lots of people and offering tickets.'
Instead, she encouraged fans to 'stick to the official resale site' and 'be very careful'.
As well as social media scams, there is also the issue of resale sites like Viagogo, which at one point was listing tickets for up to £1,263 for tonight's show, according to The I Paper.
Indeed, tickets bought on some sites – like Viagogo, Stubhub and others – can be voided under original purchase conditions, and might not be valid.
For the eighth year, 150,000 festival goers will descend on Glasgow Green from 11-13 July to see the liked of 50 Cent, Gracie Abrams and Biffy Clyro, and you could be there!
Metro has teamed up with Rockstar Energy presents TRNSMT Festival to offer four VIP tickets to one lucky winner.
For a chance to win this massive music prize, simply enter your details here.
You have until midnight on Sunday 6 July 2025 to enter using the form below. Entrants must be 18+. Good luck! T&Cs apply*.
Click here if form is not loading.
* Open to legal residents of Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 or over. Promotion opens at 18:01 BST on 2 July 2025 and closes at 23:59 BST on 6 July 2025. The promotion is free to enter; however internet access is required. Entrant must visit https://metro.co.uk/2025/07/02/win-vip-tickets-see-50-cent-gracie-abrams-biffy-clyro-trnsmt-festival-2025-23539991/ and when prompted by the form, submit their name, email, telephone number, date of birth and postcode. Acceptance of the terms and conditions is necessary to enter the promotion. There will be one (1) winner. The winner will win four (4) VIP weekend tickets for TRNSMT Festival, running from 11th – 13th July 2025 at Glasgow Green, in Glasgow ('Prize'). Proof of age and photographic ID are required for entry for all guests (the guests of the winner must be at least 16 years old at the time of entry). The Prize, including entry and attendance at TRSNMT festival, is subject to and governed by the Promoter's full ticket terms and conditions. 1 prize available. 1 entry per person. Full T&Cs apply, see here.
Instead of online touts, which can come at an inflated cost or even be for a ticket that the seller doesn't even have yet, fans have been directed to Twickets – the official resale platform for the UK and Ireland tour.
On the site, tickets can only be sold for face value (plus an admin fee), which makes it a fairer, safer and more affordable option. More Trending
There is high demand with fans advised to keep refreshing the oasis resale page rather than rely on the now-disabled 'alert' function for the tour.
Explaining how Twickets works, a spokesperson told the Mirror: 'Twickets is an ethical ticket resale marketplace, enabling users to sell spare tickets at the price they paid, or less.
'We have partnered with Oasis as their official ticket resale platform to protect fans from being ripped off by profiteering resale sites that encourage ticket touting.
'Sellers sell for free, and buyers pay a standard booking fee of 10-15% of the sold for ticket price. Buyers can purchase with all major debit / credit cards as well as PayPal.'

Hollyoaks confirms Sienna's fate as aftermath of Jez showdown is revealed

Hollyoaks has confirmed that Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) will live following her showdown with dastardly killer Jez (Jeremy Sheffield) – but an unexpected twist follows. The much-loved show favourite, as viewers know, uncovered the truth about evil dad Jez earlier this week after finding Robbie Roscoe's (Charlie Wernham) body at the allotment. Robbie was one of several characters killed by serial killer Jez, who has been claiming lives for much of his, documenting his kills in a disturbing journal which he keeps at the flat. Sienna had some knowledge of Jez's brutality when she discovered that he'd killed Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith) earlier this year and, in unsettling scenes, she assisted him in burying the body. Jez vowed that he had turned over a new leaf and Sienna hoped that he was telling the truth. However, things took quite a turn last week when she learned via Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) that Dilly's DNA had been found in connection with Dennis and Ian Stone the social worker. Given that Dilly died in January and Ian was killed just a matter of weeks ago, it didn't take long for Sienna to work out that something was awry. Desperate for answers, the former high school teacher made a beeline for the allotment, where she uncovered Jez's grisly crimes, unearthing the body of Robbie Roscoe, who had also been killed by the murderer. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Monday's (August 11) edition of the Channel 4 soap dealt with the aftermath of the discovery as Sienna demanded that Jez come clean over his actions. Jez wasted little time in showing just how twisted he truly is, basking in his killer nature as he told Sienna he was relieved that he no longer had to hide from her. Utterly appalled by the depths of his evilness, Sienna feared for the lives of her loved ones, reminding him that he's already killed family members in Dilly and Dennis. In tense scenes, Sienna raced across the city walls and made a phone call to Dodger – but Jez intervened. A dramatic face-off ensued, with Sienna pushing her villainous dad away. As he teetered on the edge of the faulty railing, he pulled Sienna with him as the two plummeted to the ground below. The immediate aftermath of the showdown will be revealed on-screen this week but new spoilers for next week confirm that both Sienna and Jez escape the situation with their lives intact. Their memories, however… well that's another story. In upcoming scenes set to air next week, Sienna tells Jez and Liberty Savage (Jeramy Stoddart) that it's looking unlikely that will ever regain the lost memories. Liberty worries that SIenna is keeping something from Jez. It seems there is more to this than meets the eye as, at one stage during the week, Sienna logs on to a chatroom, hoping for advice on having a serial killer as a father. Later, she frantically tries to sell the stall and stock, much to Lib's horror. More Trending Afterwards, Sienna pays a visit to see Dodger at the station but before she gets to speak to him, Jez arrives. The question is: is the truth coming back to Sienna? And either way, will Jez claim her life? Or is the clock finally ticking on the villainous gardener? Will Sienna prove instrumental in taking him down? Will Liberty finally see him for who he is? Hollyoaks confirms devastating funeral scenes as major character is laid to rest

Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) will lay son Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe) to rest in emotional Hollyoaks scenes next week but with tensions running high the funeral service proves eventful. Bobby, as viewers know, was serving time in prison after he killed Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle) and Verity Hutchinson (Eva O'Hara) several years ago. He also attempted to murder Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) – who was seeing his mum at the time – as he set a fire in Price Slice, which led to DeMarcus' (Tomi Ade) life being put in danger. Bobby escaped captivity earlier this year and reunited with mum Mercedes, who urged him to turn himself in to the police and finish out this sentence so that he could come home to be with her and his sisters. The teen resolved to do just that but he was subsequently accused of the murder of his social worker Ian Stone, who was killed by Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield). Bobby later discovered that Jez was to blame after Martha (Sherrie Hewson) inadvertently spilled the beans about her murderous son, which prompted a showdown between Bobby and Jez. One thing led to another, with Bobby determined to hand himself in to the police but when Jez got wind of his plan, he tracked the teen down and killed him in horrifying scenes. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), however, believes that he was to blame for Bobby's death given that he was driving a car along the very road where the boy's body was found. Mercedes, meanwhile, was left devastated by her son's death, seeking comfort in Tony, who confided in Diane (Alex Fletcher) about what he thought he did to Bobby. Diane assisted him in covering up the crime, crashing the car he was driving and hiding it in the garage, which is currently vacant. With a few weeks having passed since the tragic event, next week sees Mercedes and the rest of the McQueens prepare for Bobby's funeral. In a bid to allow others who aren't able to attend view the service, the decision is made to livestream the funeral. John Paul (James Sutton), meanwhile, is still struggling with his alcohol addiction and tries to get served at The Dog. Tony and Diane refuse and Mercedes subsequently enters the pub, spooking Tone as she reveals that she knows who killed Bobby. Is Tony's secret set to out? Does Mercedes believe that he was to blame? It appears not as Mercedes instead asks Tony to attend the funeral with her for moral support. Conflicted, Tony agrees. John Paul, meanwhile, recalls a flashback. More Trending On the day of the funeral, Mercedes stands in front of a handful of friends and family and shares some heartfelt words on her beloved Bobby. A confrontation, however, soon ensues at the funeral, which is being live-streamed to the village, and it leaves one resident feeling very smug. The question is: just what has unfolded? And why exactly does it please this one mysterious resident? View More » Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4's streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4. Oasis 'flooded with huge offers for 2026 shows including Knebworth' amid reunion success

Liam and Noel Gallagher could carry on their huge Oasis reunion tour into next year as offers have reportedly been put to the band as the decision is all in their hands Oasis are said to have been inundaded with offers for shows for next year following their mega reunion this year. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher put their decades long feud aside as they reunited the iconic band for a string of shows. ‌ They kicked off in Cardiff last month before heading to Manchester, London and Edinburgh. The Britpop stars are set to carry on to Dublin before moving over to the US, Asia, Australasia and South America. ‌ Rumours have already been circulating that Oasis could carry on into 2026. It comes after Paul Weller revealed the unusual reason he refuses to watch Oasis concerts. ‌ Fans are hoping Oasis will head to Knebworth House next year as they mark the 30th anniversary of their two historic shows there. It would mean they would tip rival Robbie Williams off the post as the artist to have played the most shows at the Hertfordshire venue. According to the Sun, Oasis has been offered four dates at Knebworth along with a possible residency at their beloved Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. Fake posters of a 2026 tour have already appeared online as fans hold out hope for a chance to see the brothers back in action. ‌ However, it all boils down to whether Liam and Noel are really up for carrying it on. 'They'll be having a well-earned holiday as soon as this tour finishes later this year,' a source told the publication. 'As for 2026, they've seen the speculation, they've heard about the offers and they know what the fans want. But it's ultimately up for them to decide." Oasis: What's Their Story? An unofficial celebration magazine on sale now! A few simple words on social media on August 27 in 2024 were enough to spark pandemonium among Oasis fans and were the catalyst for the most eagerly awaited UK gigs of all time. This special unofficial magazine, available to order here, marks the reunion and honours the band both now and down the years with our incredible archive of photos and interviews - and with exclusive reviews and photographs of their first show! ‌ They added that it is up for Liam and Noel to weigh up if they want to "draw a line in the sand" or "keep the magic going". Yet, it is a "difficult decision". Festivals have also been holding out hope to bag Oasis at their events as they added both Coachella and Benicassim have sent offers to the band. The current tour was announced last year, almost 15 years to the date of their split, and a move that fans never believed would happen due to the tensions between Liam and Noel. ‌ Ever since Noel walked away, the two siblings have hurled insults at one another across social media and in interviews. But now, those days are firmly in the past with the two brothers walking out on stage each night holding hands, as though there had never been any bad blood. Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp! Oasis' manager, Alec McKinlay, previously said that the current dates are the only ones that the band will be performing. He said in May: "This is very much the last time around, as Noel's made clear in the press. ‌ "It's a chance for fans who haven't seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. No, there's no plans for any new music." But Liam later hit out at the comments, saying that they came from "the accountant". Replying to a fan on X, he fumed: "Neither do I and the only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID [Noel] so let's just take it one day at a time."
