EX-QUIZ-ITE NEWS Hollywood star to host new ITV game show which is already a smash hit around the globe A GLOBAL quiz phenomenon is coming to ITV on Saturday nights — and chances are, if you've been abroad lately, you have already heard of it. Like The Traitors or Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, The Floor is a blockbuster format that's conquered TV markets around the world, including the US, where it's fronted by movie star Rob Lowe. The show will land here next year, though ITV bosses are yet to reveal which famous face will be taking the helm in our version. Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's director of entertainment, said: 'The Floor, with its compelling gameplay, is an excellent addition to our roster of existing popular quiz shows across ITV and ITVX.' Originally a Dutch show, it features 81 quiz fanatics facing off in duels on a giant LED floor divided into 81 squares, each representing its own field of knowledge. Advertisement The goal is to conquer the entire floor and take home a huge cash prize, with each duel upping the stakes and the tension. The Floor has already been a big hit in countries including Australia, Poland and Spain and recently launched in Estonia and Latvia. Over in the US, it has already run for three seasons, and hiring such a big Hollywood name to front it was an instant sign of TV bosses' confidence in the format. Now broadcaster Fox has ordered two more seasons, continuing the format through next year and 2027 in America. Advertisement Sounds like they'll soon be flooring Brit quiz fans, too. Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie also star, with the movie debuting in cinemas on August 22 before it appears on Netflix on August 28. 'Molly came to me with this stuff, and I said, 'What you're best off doing with him, Molly, is walking away because if he is not gonna change himself, he doesn't think that much of you, does he?'' In the show, fighter Tommy discusses alleged infidelities prior to their brief split last year, but he maintains: 'The reason for our ending the relationship was alcohol.' Emmerdale double exit sealed in Aaron storyline as star reveals all on emotional scenes

Could a double exit be on the cards as John Sugden continues to struggle with what he has done to Nate and others, and Aaron starts to feel regret over his liaison with ex Robert? Emmerdale star Ryan Hawley has teased a double exit in a new storyline. Robert Sugden made his return to the village a few weeks back and it has been quite the dramatic few weeks involving his love Aaron Dingle. ‌ Viewers know John Sugden - Aaron's new husband - is a serial killer and only wants bad things for the village and its residents. Robert is onto him - but no one believes him, with everyone convinced John is such a nice guy. ‌ Next week, Aaron and Robert give into temptation - and it's clear Aaron still has feelings for his ex. But will he manage to convince Aaron to change his mind and stay in the village - or leave with John? It comes after a Coronation Street and Mrs Brown's Boys actor dies after short illness. ‌ Asked how Robert will react when he finds out that Aaron and John are leaving the village, he said: "He will be devastated, obviously. Robert came back to the village for Aaron, really. He'd be devastated - it was his reason to come back. He will be very worried about Aaron's safety, but at the same time, I think at this point, maybe he's starting to doubt whether or not he's right about John. "Maybe John's gaslighting and manipulation's got through to him. Because everyone's saying the same things to Robert, that he's wrong about John and that he's just jealous." ‌ It has been a tough return to the village for Robert - who has been shunned by pretty much everyone over his behaviour with John and his hope of breaking things off between the village hero and Aaron Dingle. "Everyone's moved on and Aaron's moved on and there's a happy equilibrium it seems that Aaron's found in his relationship with John. And I guess that Paddy and people care about him. Chas, they're all riled to see Robert's back because they know that that will kind of disrupt that. He's unanimously looked down on. Well, actually, except for people like Caleb," he said. ‌ "Caleb gives him a chance as does Moira, Moira gives him a chance, but yeah, it turns out that Robert of double crosses her and betrays Moira. Victoria's kind of the only one that's really there and caring for him and supporting him and trying to help him through." Whatever happens next, Ryan warned there would be some exciting scenes ahead. He shared: "I'm genuinely excited about the year that we've got ahead. I think the show's in a great place at the moment. "I think the next year, the kind of the story arc that I've been told, I'm really interested in and really excited about. And the Corrie Dale, the crossover, that's going to be a great a great week for both shows."

Strictly 2025: Everything To Know About Balvinder Sopal

After months of rumours and speculation, and with just weeks to go before this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing launches, the star-studded line-up is slowly being revealed. Gladiators star Nitro – whose real name is Harry Aikines-Aryeetey – was the first big name announced for the upcoming season, followed by Dani Dyer, Alex Kingston and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Soap actress Balvinder Sopal is set to join them and head to the dance floor, as she swaps Albert Square for the Argentine Tango. 'Being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen. Working on EastEnders and being a part of Strictly Come Dancing is the stuff that dreams are made of,' she said. 'I'm far too excited to put into words how I feel but I'm incredibly excited at the prospect of dancing across the ballroom!' She revealed she has already done ballroom and Latin dancing as a 'hobby'. 'I think when you've got a passion for something, you're naturally inclined to enjoy it. I'll enjoy it but I don't know if I'll be any good,' she said. Balvinder is an actress, who currently plays Suki Kaur Panesar-Unwin on BBC soap EastEnders. Balvinder was born on 4 December 1978, making her 46. Balvinder lives in Medway, Kent. 'I love where I come from. It's taken me a while to really appreciate how creatively diverse Medway and surrounding areas in Kent are. Sure, some places aren't as beautiful, affluent or full of rows of quaint little coffee shops, but it is full of heart, and it's where I grew up,' she said. 'It's where I come from.' Balvinder is not believed to be married in real life. Before joining EastEnders in January 2020, Balvinder has appeared on other soaps Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors. Over her 20-year-long career on stage and screen, she has also been on Waterloo Road and Call The Midwife. But it's as villainous and protective matriarch Suki and the character's lesbian relationship with Eve Unwin (portrayed by Heather Peace), which fans called 'Sukeve', that she's made her name. 'I've always played downtrodden, submissive women, so to be out there and sort of the female version of Phil Mitchell, I think is great,' she said. Eve and Suki married in January, becoming the first lesbian couple to tie the knot on the show. Shereen Low is a senior news and entertainment writer for Grazia UK, who enjoys watching everything from Love Island and Race Across The World to real-life crime shows and thrillers.
