North Carolina lands big commitment from wide receiver
On Wednesday, the Tar Heels landed four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren as he verbally pledged his commitment to the program. He even scheduled a visit to UNC as the Tar Heels were involved in his new recruitment.

Now, as the Summer goes on, he officially has a new home.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Warren hails out of Bluffton, South Carolina and had a total of 18 offers in his recruitment before picking the Tar Heels. He's ranked No. 319 nationally, the No. 50 wide receiver and No. 7 player in the state of South Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
The addition of Warren gives UNC 31 commitments in the 2026 class so far and he's the fourth wide receiver to join the class, along with four-star Keeyun Chapman, three-star Kei'Maurii Miles and three-star Zamaurious Robertson.
UNC's class now ranks No. 19 nationally and they have the chance to add even more to the class before it's all said and done.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers' heartwarming interaction at celebrity golf game goes viral
Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers is making waves at a celebrity golf game — and it has nothing to do with his score. Rodgers, one of the NFL's most active golf enthusiasts, recently attended the 2025 American Century Championship, a three-day celebrity golf tournament featuring some of the biggest stars in sports — but it was a heartwarming moment with a young fan that caught the attention of many. In a video originally posted on Instagram by user Weslysniped, Rodgers invited a young child onto the golf course to take a picture with him — a moment that clearly meant the world to the young fan, evident from his ear-to-ear grin (courtesy of itsbree33 on X). Not all the headlines were as positive from Rodgers' recent attendance at the American Century Championship — as his interaction with a potential "autograph hound" went viral for all the wrong and hilarious reasons. The polar-opposite narratives painted by these two interactions reflect Rodgers' polarizing reception in Pittsburgh — but make no mistake, the four-time MVP is blocking out the noise and gearing up to lead a loaded Steelers roster in 2025. UNC freshman an early first-round pick in USA TODAY Sports' NBA Mock Draft
Thanks to Hubert Davis reinforcing his roster through the transfer portal and another solid recruiting class, UNC should return to its contending ways in the 2025-2026 college basketball season. North Carolina added necessary height via the portal, highlighted by 7-foot center Henri Veesaar and 6'11" Alabama transfer Jarin Stevenson. The Tar Heels also nabbed a starting point guard in Kyan Evans, who comes over from Colorado State, plus a pair of shooting guards in Jonathan Powell and Jaydon Young. Advertisement UNC's most anticipated roster addition, though, is 5-star freshman power forward Caleb Wilson. A versatile 6'9" standout who can finish thunderous dunks, score from virtually anywhere on the court, defend anyone and rebound with ease, Wilson should start for Hubert from Day One. Yet to play in a college game, Wilson is still garnering plenty of preseason NBA Draft hype. In USA TODAY Sports' way-too-early 2026 NBA Mock Draft, Wilson will be selected sixth overall. Leading the above Mock Draft is former North Carolina target AJ Dybantsa, who ultimately chose to play at BYU. Darryn Peterson (Kansas), Cam Boozer (Duke), former Tar Heel target Nate Ament (Tennessee) and Karim Lopez, a highly-touted Mexican prospect who plays for the New Zealand Breakers. Wilson is a 5-tool player the Tar Heels and their massive fanbase crave, as he averaged 21.7 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, 3.5 blocks and 1.9 steals per game during his senior high school campaign. Wilson led Holy Innocents Episcopal School to a state championship last fall, earned a McDonalds All-American invite and was named Georgia's 2024-2025 Gatorade Boys' Basketball Player of the Year. Caitlin Clark reacts to Indiana Fever win vs Dallas Wings
Hear what Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Stephanie White had to say afterwards In a highly-anticipated, first-ever WNBA matchup between Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, it was Clark's Indiana Fever that rolled to an emphatic 102-83 win over the Dallas Wings. Clark scored 14 points, dished out 13 assists and had a career-high-tying five steals on a 4-for-12 shooting day. It was the 19th career double-double for Clark and her fifth this season. Indiana enjoyed a dominant day overall. The Fever shot 51.9% from the field, scored 58 points in the paint and poured in 23 points off Wings turnovers. Indiana's 64 first-half points were the most in any half by any WNBA team this season. Naturally, Clark, Fever forward Aliyah Boston and Indiana head coach Stephanie White were in pretty good spirits afterwards. "I still probably didn't shoot it as good as I would have liked, but I feel like it's coming. Just trying to continue to get my legs under me. Like I said pregame, I feel like I'm a couple shots away from like having a really good game. But, I thought my playmaking was really good. There was no reason for me to really shoot that much... "When we have five people in double figures, I feel like we're going to be pretty hard to beat, it would take a lot for a team to beat us. And I think we were just kind of firing on all cylinders. Moving the ball well, getting to the next action. Played out of pick and roll well and then our defense was good and got us a lot of buckets in transition," Clark said.
