Strictly Come Dancing star Jowita Przystal shared a mysterious message about her 'demanding' year whilst expressing gratitude to unidentified 'guardian angels'.

Supporters flocked to back the Polish professional dancer following the peculiar post earlier this year.

Jowita, who progressed far into the 2024 series of Strictly alongside celebrity partner and reality television personality Pete Wicks, published an extensive message discussing 'difficult' recollections and 'teachings', whilst avoiding specific details about what had gone awry during the past 12 months.

However, Jowita did acknowledge her appreciation for 2024 'regardless of everything'.
Jowita shared alongside a compilation reel on her Instagram: "2024...You have challenged me a lot... Despite everything I'm grateful for you. You taught me to always stay strong, to fight my fears, to find happiness again and to see my self worth.", reports the Express.
"I know that I'm sharing most of the good memories here, but usually we don't wanna keep those bad ones.

"Thank you for all the lessons, there's still way more to learn and experience... but I'm ready. I'm ready to live, to love, laugh and, of course, dance."
She added: "This year was about my guardian angels. And I'll be forever grateful for you. You showed me love, support, kindness and you pushed me to be the best version of myself. Thank you. You didn't let me give up. I love you. #bye2024."

Strictly 2024 participant Tasha Ghouri offered her encouragement by posting four red heart emojis beneath the message. Fans echoed similar sentiments, with @jowitasdowden expressing: "So proud of you. Can't wait to be supporting you for the 5th year. Always in your corner, love you so so much."
@deb. 50h13 added: "Jowita, you are a lovely lady in every way. I wish you all the luck and happiness for 2025 xx."
@ourgodsforabode_ posted: "Beautiful inside and out. Happy new year Jowita."

@stevomosco shared: "Happy new year, you're a shining light, 2025 is going to be epic for you."
In December, whispers circulated Jowita was romantically involved with fellow Strictly professional Vito Coppola.
The Italian heartthrob, 32, had been partnered with Miranda actress Sarah Hadland, 53, in the 2024 series, and they danced their way to the final.

After a challenging year for Strictly - marked by allegations of backstage abuse and lower than usual viewing figures - Jowita defended the show and its significance to her. She penned: "Congratulations to all finalists, you should be so proud of yourselves. It was a pure joy watching you all dance!".
She further added: "Last night was very emotional... and just reassured me why I do what I do. @bbcstrictly creates magic, dancing connects people and I feel grateful I can be part of it."

YouTube star and EastEnders actress among first batch of Strictly contestants

The popular BBC dancing show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, will return to TV screens in September with a new host of famous faces competing each week to win the glitterball trophy. Podcast host and YouTube star George Clarke was announced as the sixth celebrity contestant on Tuesday during BBC Radio 1's Going Home drivetime show. Clarke, also known as George Clarkey, said: 'Never thought I'd say this … but I'm doing Strictly! Honestly, I've got no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to get stuck in … and potentially fall over a fair bit.' It comes after EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal was revealed as a contestant during a segment filmed live from Albert Square on ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB). She said that 'being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen'. The other stars confirmed to be competing are Love Island winner Dani Dyer, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston and former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Speaking on The One Show after her reveal, Dyer, who is the daughter of actor Danny Dyer, said: 'It's such a fun magical show – to be asked to do it is such an honour. 'I just can't wait to be able to wear (the costumes) – it's going to be so much fun.' A post shared by BBC Strictly (@bbcstrictly) Former Chelsea footballer Hasselbaink said: 'I'm a father of only girls and Strictly is a part of our home life – I like the show. Let's have a go.' Actress Kingston, who interrupted her holiday in Italy to speak to hosts Alex Scott and Roman Kemp, joked: 'I was super excited but now I'm terrified.' Aikines-Aryeetey, known as Nitro on the rebooted Gladiators, previously competed in last year's Strictly Christmas Special and described his decision to return on Monday as 'so nice I just had to do it twice'. In July, the BBC announced that two 'incredible' new professional dancers, US-born Alexis Warr and Australian dancer Julian Caillon, would be joining the show. Daly and Winkleman will return as presenters with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas on the judges' table. Strictly will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September.

Match of the Day stars 'won't make the show all about them' unlike Gary Lineker

Match of The Day's new hosts are promising they won't make the show all about them. Gabby Logan, Kelly Cates and Mark Chapman don't want to be the centre of attention like axed Gary Lineker was. Instead, they want to make it all about the football when they kick things off this week. Gabby, 52, said: 'The focus is only on us because Gary's leaving, and he's such a huge name. We're nowhere near the most important people on the show. The most important thing is the football, then it's the pundits and what they think about it and we're there to bring it all together.' Kelly, 49, added: 'I didn't think there would be as much focus as there has been. I thought, probably very naively, that Gary would take it all as the outgoing person. I didn't realise people would be as interested as they are.' The trio are taking over after Gary, 64, quit the BBC over a controversial post on social media. And the new presenters insist that they won't suffer a similar gaffe as they're cautious about what they put online. Kelly said: 'I don't think I've ever really weighed in that much on anything that isn't either about football or something quite silly. That's not how I've ever used social media.' Gabby added: 'I've been conducting myself on social media while working at the BBC for nearly two decades, so it doesn't change anything. "The broadcaster is probably under the most scrutiny of any in the country because of the way it's funded and because it's accountable to the public. That's how it should be. We strive to have the highest standards. Hopefully, we'll just get on with our jobs.' Speaking earlier this year, Lineker, 64, said he believed the BBC wanted him to leave the programme, which he had anchored since 1999. Asked why he was ending his tenure as host, he replied: "Well, perhaps they want me to leave. There was the sense of that." He announced last November that he would leave the football show at the end of the last Premier League season.
