Rondale Moore carted off with new leg injury in Vikings preseason game against Texans
Minnesota Vikings' Rondale Moore seemed to have a serious leg injury in the team's Saturday preseason game against the Houston Texans. U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, hosted the game on August 9, 2025.
Rondale Moore was hurt returning a punt in the second quarter and sustained a right knee injury that kept him out for the whole 2024 season. This injury occurs less than a year after he was hauled off the field during Atlanta Falcons practice. His latest setback left teammates concerned as medical staff quickly surrounded him.
Rondale Moore injured during punt return against Houston Texans
With 10:30 remaining in the second quarter, Rondale Moore caught a Tommy Townsend punt on the run and gained 2 yards before being forced out of bounds by Houston Texans linebacker Jamal Hill.
The 24-year-old went down hard and stayed down with his feet on the turf, clearly in pain on the left leg. Trainers from the Vikings rushed to his side as play stopped.
After several minutes, Rondale Moore was helped onto a cart since he could not put any weight on the injured leg.
Frustrated, he slammed the cart before toweling his head. Players from both teams gathered to show support before he was driven to the locker room for more investigation.

Rondale Moore's injury history and career background
This is not Rondale Moore's first major injury. He was with Atlanta in August 2024 when he injuried his right knee in a joint practice with the Miami Dolphins, and he was placed on injured reserve for the rest of the season. Seeking a new start, he agreed with the Minnesota Vikings in the 2025 offseason.
Selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round, 49th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, Moore played in 39 games over his first three seasons in the NFL with Arizona accumulating 135 receptions for 1,201 yards with three receiving touchdowns and one running touchdown.
Now, with another leg injury so early in his Minnesota Vikings career, Rondale Moore faces yet another challenge to return to the field. The Vikings have not yet released an update on his condition as of Saturday night, according to ESPN and NFL Network.

Meet Harry Gill, the fan who took a stunning one-handed catch while holding two vodka cans in the other
Harry Gill takes a one-handed stunner during Australia vs South Africa first T20I match in Darwin. (Screengrab) Like any other spectator, Harry Gill was enjoying his evening, watching international cricket return to Darwin after 17 years, with a couple of vodka cans in hand. Little did he know that he would end up becoming a celebrity in his hometown. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! In the 12th over of Australia's innings against South Africa, Tim David hammered a flat six into the crowd, where Gill pulled off a one-handed stunner with his left hand while holding both drinks in his right — without spilling a drop. 'The lemonade ones are bloody good. I've got a bit of a hangover this morning,' Gill was quoted as saying by The Age. 'It just stuck. My hand is a bit sore this morning but, yeah, happy with it. My phone is blowing up,' said the 26-year-old pilot from Darwin. Gill's grab has been compared to the famous crowd catch taken by Channel Nine cameraman Tony Fox in 1987, when Ian Botham launched Simon O'Donnell down the ground for six. Fox took it with both hands — cigarette in mouth. Gill admitted his dad had sent him the clip, but he isn't putting himself in the same league. Poll Was Harry Gill's catch more impressive than the famous catch by Tony Fox in 1987? Yes, definitely! No, Tony Fox's catch was iconic. Both were amazing in their own right. 'His is so much cooler, bro,' Gill said. 'I wish I had a durry [cigarette] in my mouth so I could have done that. "He was a highly talented player. But as I have said, everyone's journey is individual, and I don't know what exactly happened with him. "Still, Prithvi Shaw was a very talented cricketer. Unfortunately, he went down the wrong path and ended up spoiling his cricket." Poll What do you think is the main reason for Prithvi Shaw's decline in cricket? Poor choices Lack of opportunities Injuries Pressure of expectations Lad lauded India's next batting sensations Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre, and said the Indian future is in safe hands. 'Even now, I feel there should be a batter like him, the way he used to bat. Although right now we have some truly outstanding batters," he said. "For example, the way Vaibhav Suryavanshi is batting, and the way Ayush Mhatre is batting — these are future cricketers in the making. They are getting ready in line. Indian cricket is almost at the top,' he added. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
