Morgan Wallen has been heavily promoting his new album I'm the Problem for almost a year now, even though the set only just arrived. The country superstar began pushing singles from the project last summer and has only ramped up the excitement surrounding what is sure to be a blockbuster release in the past few weeks. The 37-song effort has finally dropped and is likely to dominate a number of Billboard charts next week, based on just its first few hours of availability.
The collection has already become a strong seller in the United States, as fans rush to buy not just the full-length, but also many of the tunes featured on its tracklist — especially those pushed as major singles.
I'm the Problem opens at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart, easily standing out as the bestselling new release of the week. On what is considered one of the most important platforms for full-length purchases and digital downloads in the U.S., the Grammy nominee outpaces new projects from stars like Jin of BTS, Sleep Theory, and even the deluxe edition of Linkin Park's From Zero.
Two of Wallen's three other full-lengths appear on the same ranking and are both surging, as all the excitement around his latest project seems to be fueling his previous efforts as well. One Thing at a Time, his most recent set before I'm the Problem, rockets more than 50 spaces to land at No. 66, at the time of writing. His debut full-length If I Know Me is back at No. 131. Only Dangerous, his sophomore studio effort, is missing.
All seven singles from I'm the Problem appear inside the top 15 on the iTunes Top Songs tally. Five of them — "Superman," "I'm the Problem," "Just in Case I Ain't Coming Back" with Post Malone, and "I'm a Little Crazy" — are still present inside the top 10, which is a massive showing on a busy Friday.
Three other cuts from the full-length — "Love Somebody," "Smile," and "Lies Lies Lies Lie" — aren't far behind. They currently sit at Nos. 12, 13, and 14, respectively. In the coming hours and days, several other tracks from I'm the Problem may emerge as standalone bestsellers, and it's likely the album will hold its No. 1 position for the remainder of the tracking week.
