Classic Novels First Lines Trivia — BuzzFeed Quizzes

If you've read literally anything I've posted before, this won't be a shock: I'm a huge bookworm. I read like the world's ending and have somehow converted half my community into fellow book nerds. My Indigo Plus (shoutout to Canadians) pays for itself by mid-January, and Goodreads is one of my most-used apps.
And yes, while I fully support audiobooks — because sometimes a bitch needs to make dinner and power through a slow classic you feel morally obligated to read — I still can't get on board with e-readers. I either want the dramatic performance in my ears, or I need that paper-smell-in-the-face experience. No in-between.
Whether you're word-obsessed like me or barely made it through this intro, it's time to test your classic lit knowledge. Let's start on page one, with the very first sentence...
Here's a fun fact: Jane Austen published her novels anonymously, credited only as 'A Lady.' Even her own family didn't know she wrote Pride and Prejudice for a while. Pretty dope, honestly. I dream of anonymously dropping a bestseller, casually buying a house, and letting my family spiral into 'Did you win the lottery?' theories. Not that Jane could've done that — patriarchy and all — but secret fame? Kind of rock 'n' roll.
I literally just got butterflies watching this GIF. I need to walk away and catch my breath. The chemistry is unbearable.

People Are Finally Warming Up To JoJo Siwa Dating Chris Hughes After The Initial Shock Of Their Hetero-Relationship Went Viral

JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are winning people over one TikTok video at a time. And their most recent post has a lot of viewers doing a collective "aww" as they witnessed just how much fun the 22-year-old entertainer and the 32-year-old media personality have together. Earlier this week, JoJo shared a video from their three days exploring the new Star of the Seas Royal Caribbean cruise — their newest and largest ship. Along with Chris, some of JoJo's family also came along for the adventure. Related: The nearly 30-second video featured a ton of sweet clips showing the couple smiling and giggling while trying out all of the amenities. From a giant waterslide... ...to showing off skills on the basketball court... ...and racing down another waterslide... Related: ...sprinkling in some baby time... ...and walking around the 1,196-foot boat. All of this while stealing some cute intimate moments with each other. Related: Related: These positive comments come after JoJo received a lot of backlash when she admitted she "felt pressure to identify as a lesbian," and dumped her ex Kath Ebbs at the Celebrity Big Brother UK wrap party. Some people from the LGBTQ+ community accused JoJo of turning her back on them when she publicly stated that she no longer identified as a lesbian, while also going public with her relationship with Chris on Instagram. Needless to say, I think we can all agree it's ultimately not our place to tell her who to love. And I'm glad fans are finally allowing her to enjoy this happy time in her life, no matter who she loves! Halle Berry throws shade at ex David Justice's divorce comments in cheeky birthday post

If Halle Berry has learned anything in her nearly six decades, it's how to take criticism in stride. The Oscar-winning actress, whose ex-husband David Justice opened up about their 90s divorce in a recent interview, seemingly responded to her former spouse's remarks in a cheeky Instagram post on Aug. 14, which coincided with her 59th birthday. Berry shared a series of photos from her birthday celebration, which included festive snaps of the actress lounging seaside in a bikini, spending time with boyfriend Van Hunt and enjoying a slice of chocolate cake. "Phew…! cooking, cleaning and mothering," Berry captioned the post. Berry's social media comment appeared to be a callout addressing Justice's remarks from his "All the Smoke" podcast appearance, during which he reflected on the couple's high-profile relationship (Berry and Justice were married from 1993 to 1997.) "She asked me to marry her after knowing me for five months," Justice said on the Aug. 7 episode. "I don't know if my heart was really into it. But I didn't want to make her feel bad and say no. I was just in the moment, it caught me off-guard." Halle Berry's ex David Justice opens up: Baseball veteran reveals stunning reason for ending marriage David Justice reveals reason for Halle Berry divorce Justice added that he didn't face "a lot of negative attention" until he separated from Berry in 1996. Explaining the reasoning for their split, the former Atlanta Braves outfielder said the state of Berry's domestic life was a red flag for him. "I'm looking at my mom. I'm a Midwest guy. So in my mind, I'm thinking a wife at that time should cook, clean," Justice said. "And I'm thinking, 'OK, if we have kids, is this the woman I want to have kids with and build a family with?' And at that time, as a young guy, she don't cook, don't clean, don't really seem, like, motherly." But looking back, Justice said he could have handled his divorce with Berry differently. "I didn't ease out" of the relationship, the baseball veteran reflected, adding that "my knowledge and my understanding and my wisdom around relationships just wasn't vast." "That girl really did love me, and I can see why she would be so mad at me," Justice said. "Because imagine if you really love somebody, and they tell you they want to break up, and there's nothing you can say to get them back. That had to have been tough on her." Berry is in a long-term relationship with Hunt, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter. Her marriage to Justice was in the 90s. She then married Eric Benét (2001 to 2005) and Olivier Martinez (2013 to 2016). She has two children: Nahla, 17, whose dad is ex-partner Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo, 11, whom she had with Martinez.
