'Hilarious' WWE legend forced to leave as brutal cuts continue
Veteran WWE star Carlito is the latest big name set to leave.
The 46-year-old former United States Champion, who returned in 2023 and has appeared as comic relief in Judgment Day, revealed he's being let go this month just hours after R-Truth confirmed his own shock exit.
Taking to X, Carlito wrote: 'My contract is up in 2 weeks. It will not be renewed.'
In a lighthearted statement, he quipped: 'On top of that, WWE is demanding I pay back the $ they paid me for apparently 'stealing money' from the company.
'I've had my lawyers look into it and after reviewing my footage on Netflix for the past months they suggested I pay them back the money 😳'
Getting more serious, he added: 'All jokes aside, gracias WWE & especially the WWE universe. Los quiero mucho! PS…I'll reappear again in another 13yrs Dios me los bendiga!'

'He's been used on TV lately. This guy was so hilarious and brought some humor to the Judgment Day, it sucks he's being let go,' wrote @santizapooc on X.
'They rly released R-Truth and Carlito within a few hours… two of the most hilarious, loved and dedicated wrestlers in the company (sic)' added @_monarcho.
And @Rajbishnoikhara said: 'Sad to see Carlito go. He brought a unique energy and style to WWE that fans will definitely miss. Just like R-Truth, he's a legend in his own right. Wishing him all the best in whatever comes next.'
Carlito made his WWE SmackDown debut in 2004 and beat John Cena for the United States Title in his first main roster match, enjoying a six-year spell before getting released in 2010.
He returned to the company at Backlash Puerto Rico in 2023 before making a full-time comeback later that year.

By 2024, he became a member of Judgment Day alongside the likes of Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, and has continued to appear as a member of the group.
Before the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the eve of WrestleMania last month, Carlito hadn't wrestled on TV since November 2024.
On Saturday, he returned to his father Carlos Colon's WWC promotion, where he won the company's Puerto Rico Championship for the second time.
Meanwhile, Carlito recently admitted despite not setting firm plans for retirement, he knows that day is 'coming' in the near future.
He exclusively told Metro in Las Vegas before WrestleMania: 'You never know, you know what I mean? Your body sometimes let's you know. Who knows? But I know it's coming.'
In the meantime, the former Intercontinental Champion is focused on enjoying his time in the ring while he still can.
Reflecting on his current goals, Carlito said: 'Just having fun, man. And with what time I've got left, just giving it whatever I can.'
He insisted returned to WWE 'ready to work', while he found it 'interesting' being around a much younger roster with plenty of stars from his era no longer around.
'It's a whole new thing for me. A lot of the people aren't around anymore from my day, it's all these young kids now,' he added. More Trending
Carlito confirmed his upcoming WWE departure hours after R-Truth, 53, announced his own imminent exit.

Warner Bros Discovery shareholders reject 2024 executive pay
June 3 (Reuters) - A majority of Warner Bros Discovery (WBD.O), opens new tab shareholders voted against the 2024 pay packages of CEO David Zaslav and other top executives at the media conglomerate's annual stockholder meeting, a Tuesday regulatory filing showed. The board of directors had recommended shareholders to vote in favor of the 2024 executive compensation; however, more than 59% of them rejected the proposal on a non-binding basis. For 2024, Zaslav's total compensation rose 4% from the prior year to $51.9 million. Warner Bros Discovery has been struggling to stem declines in its cable TV business amid widespread cord-cutting, focusing instead on its faster-growing streaming and studios divisions. Last month, it missed first-quarter revenue estimates and posted a larger-than-expected loss. The company is also moving towards a potential breakup, CNBC reported last month. WBD had laid the groundwork for a possible sale or spinoff of its declining cable TV assets last December by announcing a separation from its streaming and studio operations. Powered by a strong content slate, including the third season of HBO's "The White Lotus" and the medical drama series "The Pitt", WBD added 5.3 million streaming subscribers in the January-March quarter, beating market expectations, but still far off from streaming industry leader Netflix (NFLX.O), opens new tab. The company last month also walked back on the branding of its streaming service, Max, bringing back the HBO name it dropped two years ago.

Netflix star left in agony with broken leg after terrifying bike accident
NETFLIX and Skins star Sebastian de Souza has shared photos from his hospital bed after getting into a serious bike accident. The 32-year-old actor – who has appeared in The Life List, Medici, Normal People and The Great – posted his update via his Instagram account. 7 7 Despite the nasty injury, breaking his leg, Sebastian made light of the situation, posing in his bed and later down the pub with a pint, while still in his medical gown. He wrote: 'New Hair! New Normal! Dear Souzles, forgive the radio silence! Three weeks ago I broke my leg falling off my bike.' He credited 'very very kind people' who helped get him to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, as well as the team who looked after him once at A&E. 'You know who you are and I will never be able to repay you,' he commented. Praising the 'extraordinary team', he said: 'the gorgeous paramedics, doctors, nurses, domestic and administrative staff, all of whom made me feel so welcome and comfortable and safe. 'As it turned out, I had a tibial plateau fracture (more commonly known as bike leg) and needed an operation.' 'St Mary's is one of the best trauma centres on planet earth and so, naturally, there were lots of poor people with injuries far graver than mine queuing up for operations that needed doing quickly, which meant my mangled knee would have to wait a little bit before getting patched up,' he continued. 'And so it was that I ended up spending the most wonderful, inspiring, insightful, love-filled fortnight on St Mary's Valentine Ellis and Zachary Cope wards, waiting for my surgery!' Sebastian noted: 'I have never been treated with such kindness, care, respect, sensitivity and love, nor have I ever seen such professionalism and compassion shown so consistently by anyone to everyone, ever.' 'Thank God for @nhsengland @nhsenglandldn,' he said. 'As far as I'm concerned the NHS is the greatest institution ever invented and should be supported, protected and celebrated at all costs.
