Oasis are set to perform at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium this weekend and Liam Gallagher has took to Instagram to get Scots fans hyped for the occasion.
Liam Gallagher has sent Scottish fans into a frenzy ahead of Oasis' highly anticipated reunion tour at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium, with a nostalgic social media video. Liam and Noel take to the stage in Edinburgh on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday.

The show will mark the brother's first performance together in Scotland in 15 years. Oasis last played in the country in June 2009, at the same venue as part of their Dig Out Your Soul tour - marking their last ever gig in Scotland before the band's split.

To get fans excited ahead of their three dates in Scotland, Liam and Noel have both taken to their official Instagram accounts sharing various snaps and clips from previous gigs.

One video that sparked excitement among Oasis fans is a nostalgic clip shared by Liam, showcasing the band performing across legendary Scottish venues including T in the Park, King Tut's, Balloch Castle Country Park and the SECC.
The reel, which has already racked up thousands of likes on Instagram, features electrifying live footage with heartfelt commentary from both Gallagher brothers, along with an old news report capturing the wild energy and unforgettable atmosphere of their past Scottish shows.

In the video, a younger Noel reflects on the band's relationship with Scottish crowds, saying: "There seems to be a bit of an edge to Scotland. I like the people, y'know. It's a nice place.
Noel's segment finishes with a lighthearted jab, stating: "Still haven't got a clue what anyone says up there."

A voiceover from an old news segment begins, describing the feverish atmosphere at a previous gig: "The fans have come from all over Scotland eager and excited at the prospect of a night to remember."
The commentary in the video closes with a younger Liam declaring: "Scotland is a beautiful country, the people are magnificent. Get yourself up there. "
The video ends with the iconic Oasis Live' 25 tour photo of Liam and Noel with "Scotland tomorrow," written on it.

Fans have been quick to flock to the comments expressing their excitement for the gig's this weekend. One fan wrote: "SCOTLAND VIBES IN THE AREA. HERE WE GO," along with multiple love hearts and Scottish flags emojis.
Another fan reflected on the last time they saw the Gallagher brother's take the stage, penning: "We first saw You Glasgow Barrowlands Ballroom December 1994 Definitely Maybe Tour. 36 years later I just secured a ticket for the Tuesday for the last UK Concert - Full f***in Circle "f***in COMON."
A third fan embraced their inner Liam, declaring: "Scotland are officially MAD FER IT." Another summed up the video with a single, Gallagher-esque word: "BIBLICAL."

More info Thousands of Edinburgh Oasis fans witnessed the moment Liam Gallagher slammed the council in an angry jibe live on stage. The Daily Record reports Liam launched the attack during Friday night's performance at Murrayfield. The brothers kicked off their three sold-out nights in the city and are set to perform on Saturday and Tuesday night too. Liam paused the show and made the angry jibe. It comes after the star previously hit out at the council for allegedly calling their fans "old, raucous and overweight". In an angry statement on stage, he said: "One second. Where will I start here with everyone in the city council sitting on their arses calling us slags. "We're bringing a billion pounds to this city over the next three days but you won't see any of it because the LP is splitting it between posh f*****g mates.' It's believed around 70,000 fans are in attendance at tonight's gig. The band opened the gig with their iconic track Hello and followed it up with a string of favourite hits, including Morning Glory and Some Might Say. They were then handed wristbands giving them access to the VIP area at the front of the stage as Liam and Noel Gallagher banged out hits including Stand By Me and Slide Away. The two women masterminding the scam are said to have told them they had 'ten groups of 20' waiting — meaning around 200 are likely to have been sneaked in. One of the fans told us: 'We were given our tickets, which were all the same, and a woman drew a shape on our hands. 'We were told to go to the disabled door at entrance M, even though our tickets said entrance F. 'We showed our stamped hands to the person on the door, they scanned the tickets, even though we all had the same one, and let us in. 'Another member of staff then handed us a golden circle wristband and that was it. There were zero security searches. We just walked straight in.' Last night Wembley said cops could be called in to investigate. A spokesman said: 'Entering Wembley Stadium without a ticket is a serious offence and we are investigating these allegations. 'If they are substantiated, we will refer our evidence to the police.' Incredible on stage footage shows thousands of Oasis fans going wild at sold out Wembley gig The Sun has tracked down the two women who appear to be running the scam but we have chosen not to name them. Using Facebook groups dedicated to fans buying and selling tickets for Oasis shows, they approached numerous people desperate to see the band. There were zero security searches. We just walked straight in Fan One message reads: 'Hey if you're still looking for tickets let me know I can meet you in person and no payment until you're inside!' The punter who told The Sun about the scam said he was contacted on social media and told to pay a £10 deposit into one of the scammer's Monzo bank accounts. Once it was paid, he was put into a WhatsApp group. 6 He explained: 'Everyone in the group was told to go to the Sainsbury's shop at Wembley Way on Saturday. 'There were so many people there I got talking to them and we were all there for the same reason. 'Two women came and met us. They drew a shape on our hands and then a ticket was put into the WhatsApp group which we were to use. One of the women told me they were in a hurry because they had 'ten groups of 20 people' to get into the stadium. "They told us all to go to entrance M and head to the disabled entrance.' Hey if you're still looking for tickets let me know I can meet you in person and no payment until you're inside! One message The man, along with a friend and others in his group, went to the area at 5pm. He claims they were ushered inside after their tickets — all copies of the same one — were scanned with no questions asked. He added: 'A girl scanned my ticket and some bloke inside gave me a wristband and that was that. 6 Liam and Noel Gallagher on stage at Wembley Credit: Supplied 6 Fans packed out the stadium for the reunion tour Credit: Alamy 'We were supposed to pay inside and transfer the money to one of the women's Monzo bank accounts but loads of my group didn't do it.' A message shared with The Sun from the WhatsApp group reveals one of the women giving her bank details again, along with her full name. She writes: 'Transfer to these details once inside. Don't forget. 'Someone is waiting inside and one payment is made you're free to do whatever.' The second woman, believed to be a relative of hers, then asks the group: 'Did all u lot get in??' We later contacted one of the scammers to ask about getting into Sunday night's Wembley gig. Two women came and met us. They drew a shape on our hands and then a ticket was put into the WhatsApp group which we were to use Fan Using encrypted messaging app Signal, she said: '£400 a ticket but I'm taking payment before anyone goes in! Yesterday was a f***ing s**tshow. Not doing that again.' Another punter, who bought tickets for Sunday night from the same scammers, told The Sun they were told to go to the disabled door. And a gig-goer told us their brother used the scam on Saturday night, paying £350. They said: 'Apparently loads of people didn't pay when they got in.' The Sun understands the ticket scam did not work on Sunday evening for the people we spoke to. Wembley has suffered security scandals before. In 2021 a steward helped ticketless fans into England's Euros footie final clash with Italy. Last night Oasis played their first of three shows in Edinburgh.

Oasis fever grips Edinburgh as 70,000 fans cram into the city for the band's first Scottish show in 16 years

Oasis fever has gripped Edinburgh as 70,000 fans crammed into the city for the Gallagher brothers' first Scots show together in 16 years. The atmosphere in the Scottish capital was electric, with pubs and bars in the area crammed full of gig-goers ahead of the concert. Bucket hats, parkas and Oasis-branded T-shirts were the order of the day as fans celebrated the much-anticipated reunion show. Lucky ticket holders for the sold-out gig could be heard singing Oasis hits as they made their way to the first Scottish appearance in the band's 41-date worldwide tour. Such was the demand that tickets on resale site Viagogo were going for up to £2,500. As the swarms of fans made their way to the home of Scottish Rugby, they met with Liam and Noel Gallagher lookalikes. Meanwhile, Joel Rushton, 20, and 22-year-old Euan Fraser, from Stirling, played Oasis tunes on the bagpipes and guitar outside the stadium. Some came along to soak up the atmosphere despite not having tickets. The group's generation-spanning appeal was clear from the hordes of parents taking their children to the gig to share in the excitement together. TV and radio presenter Gordon Smart was among them, accompanied by his 15-year-old son Jimmy. Also going to the sell-out concert was Sam Bidder, 36, with his wife Nicky, 37, and their girls Luna, 11, and Libby, nine. Mr Bidder, who lives in East Lothian, said: 'We were probably just a bit too young to go the first time round when we were teenagers. 'So it's great to have the chance when they're still hopefully young enough to put on an amazing show and we're still young enough to really appreciate it. 'They're the songs that we grew up listening to. And the girls are really into their music – I want them to experience a band like Oasis.' It was announced in August that – having fallen out after a major row in 2009 – Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, would reunite. Some 900,000 tickets were sold for the tour, which is expected to net £600million for the brothers and their bandmates. An official fan shop selling licensed merchandise opened on Edinburgh's George Street on Monday and is said to have already welcomed thousands of customers. Support at the concert was provided by 90s indie band Cast and former frontman of The Verve, Richard Ashcroft. The gigs mark another chapter in the band's links with Scotland. Spotted performing at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow by Scottish record executive Alan McGee, the musicians signed to Creation Records in 1993. Three years later, an 80,000-strong crowd watched Oasis perform a legendary gig at Balloch Castle, on Loch Lomond, following the success of their first two albums. The latest three gigs, which are expected to bring in huge sums for the local economy, come at the height of Edinburgh's festival season, with the population of the city nearly doubling over the course of the month. Among those travelling from overseas for the gig was Marta Marrero, 28, from Tenerife. She said: 'I've been a fan since I was a teenager. I never thought I would be able to see them live, so when they said the news they are going to go do a concert I tried to book anywhere to see them. 'I'm so happy because – Scotland – I love this country. I've been before and fell in love, so when I could have Scotland and Oasis together it was great.' Liz Wachtler, 35, and Helena Schuller, 32, travelled from Vienna. New mother Ms Wachtler said she had left her eight-month-old daughter Louisa in the care of her father because she 'had to come' and watch the Gallagher brothers perform in Edinburgh. She said: 'It's unbelievable they are together again and that we got tickets. 'It's a night to remember for always. 'We'll explain it to my daughter when she's older: 'Mummy had to go, mummy had to go'.' Yosuke Karamsto and Takashi Nagano had come from half a world away – Japan – to attend. Closer to home were Scots Caroline and Barrie Dunn. Mrs Dunn was celebrating her 43rd birthday, with her husband having scooped up a ticket as a present for her.
