Close to a year after making his WWE debut at SummerSlam 2024, the 40-year-old country star returned to the spotlight — this time at Bridgestone Arena — to perform his song 'Liar,' which served as the official theme for last year's SummerSlam.

Dressed once again in all black, Jelly Roll opened the night with a powerful aisle-walking performance of 'Liar,' his chart-topping hit that spent six weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. But less than a minute in, the moment was interrupted by Paul, who stormed in with some cutting words for the singer-rapper.
'Everyone is here to see real WWE superstars. Certainly not to listen to music made for people who have tattoos of their children but don't have custody of them,' Paul said. 'Listen Jelly, this ring is sacred… you belong on a stage, not a WWE ring.'
He continued, 'You know what I'm disgusted by? Celebrities, influencers, personalities — whatever you want to classify this as — coming in to our industry, leeching off of our success on a platform that we have built, brother. Clout chasers like you disgust me … The WWE doesn't need a Jelly Roll, the WWE needs a Logan Paul.'
As Paul continued boasting about his new long-term deal with WWE, Jelly Roll fired back with some words of his own.
'Hold on, hold on, hold on. You must not completely understand where you are, Logan Paul,' he said. 'You see, this is my hometown, Nashville, Tennessee. Just so we're clear, down here, nobody gives a damn about your podcast, Logan.'
As the back-and-forth escalated, WWE legend Randy Orton made a surprise entrance, stepping in to defend Jelly. Orton confronted Paul and appeared ready to settle things in the ring until wrestler Drew McIntyre stormed in and blindsided Orton with a jump kick.
McIntyre was quickly escorted out, but the distraction gave Paul an opening, and he removed his vest and began landing punches on the disoriented Orton. Jelly stepped in to stop the attack, grabbing Paul by the hair and shoving him aside. Security then pulled Paul from the ring, but not before destroyed Jelly's music equipment, smashing guitars, pushing over amps, and trashing the drum set.
The altercation could be setting the stage for an official showdown between Jelly and Paul at this year's SummerSlam, scheduled for Aug. 2–3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Brooke Hogan Oleksy is paying tribute to her dad Hulk Hogan after his death – and clarifying rumors surrounding their relationship and rift. The "Hogan Knows Best" star, 37, took to Instagram in a post Tuesday, July 29, to address speculation about their father-daughter bond. "My dad's blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments," the mom of two wrote. "We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes." Oleksy shares twins, born this January, with her former pro hockey player husband Steven Oleksy. She first revealed in March she has "completely separate reasons for going no contact with each of my parents," citing verbal and mental abuse. Hulk Hogan 'paved the way for us to do what we love,' WWE star Alexa Bliss says
The pro wrestling world was stunned to learn that Hulk Hogan died at the age of 71 after suffering a potential cardiac arrest at his home in Florida. Hogan left a lasting legacy on WWE and the industry in general, helping to elevate it into the upper echelon of pop culture and sports entertainment. WWE paid tribute to Hogan with a 10-bell salute and a video montage showing his career in the ring. Alexa Bliss, ahead of her tag-team match with Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam, spoke to Fox News Digital about Hogan's impact on pro wrestling. "He obviously paved the way for what we do, and because of the impact that he's had on WWE, we're now able to do these huge shows," she said. "We're having a two-day SummerSlam. It's the first-time ever we're having a two-day SummerSlam. When you talk about WWE, one of the first names people talk about is Hulk Hogan. "I had a moment with him at WrestleMania when I was hosting. He came out, and we did a surprise entrance and did the flex thing, and it was a lot of fun. He's made such an impact on our business — it's undeniable." Bliss, whose real name is Alexis Kaufman, recalled her husband — singer Ryan Cabrera — showing off the Hogan video he captured at WrestleMania 35. Little did he know, Bliss was hosting the event and brought out Hogan. "My husband had a video of that WrestleMania of me and Hulk Hogan at the entrance, not knowing it was me with him," she recalled. "He goes, 'Oh, I have this really cool video of Hulk Hogan because I went to this WrestleMania once.' I was like, 'Yeah, that's me.' And he was like, 'Wait, what? That's not you.' And I go, 'Yeah, that blonde right there, posing with Hulk Hogan…' He goes, 'No, it's a video of Hulk Hogan.' And I go, 'Right, but the person right next to him, that's me.' I was like, 'You have a video of Hulk Hogan and your future wife on that video.' I always thought that was kinda cool." Ultimately, Bliss tipped her hat to how Hogan paved the way for her and others in the business. "But obviously, yeah, it's super sad. Condolences to his family. He was such a big personality and a big character in our world, and he paved the way for us to do what we love." Bliss and Flair will compete for the tag-team titles against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez at SummerSlam. The premium live event will take place Saturday and Sunday.
